La literatura relacionada con el impacto del cambio climático empieza a dar cuenta de los diversos vgrados de vulnerabilidad de la población y de la capacidad de respuesta y de adaptación de distintos sectores sociales en el mundo. Sin embargo aún son pocos los estudios que, al analizar las respuestas alos riesgos para la salud derivados del cambio climático, señalen las limitaciones y oportunidades quedan forma a procesos de adaptación orientados a enfrentar los retos de salud. En este estudio se intenta avanzar por esa línea enfocándose en un sector pobre de la población indígena campesina mexicana. El artículo se basa en una investigación de hogares que se llevó a cabo de diciembre de 2006 a abril de 2007 en tres comunidades de la Sierra Tarahumara, ubicada al suroeste de Chihuahua. Los resultados revelan que incluso en un contexto de extrema pobreza y vulnerabilidad al cambio climático, la población desarrolla respuestas para afrontarlo y adaptarse. Así, los hogares tarahumaras han desarrollado tres tiPos de estrategias: a) las basadas en sus usos y costumbres, b) la utilización del sistema de salud que ofrecen las instituciones públicas y las organizaciones no gubernamentales, y c) las prácticas sociales orientadas al exterior y la emigración a las zonas urbanas como canales de integración con la sociedad 'occidental'. También se advierte que varias políticas gubernamentales orientadas al desarrollo de las comunidades, con impacto en la salubridad de la población, presentan limitaciones por su falta de coordinación intersectorial; un caso peculiar en el cual se observa la generación de cierta sinergia es el del área de servicios de salud, donde se ha logrado retomar los usos y costumbres de la población valiéndose de representantes de las comunidades y de las ONG.

El mejoramiento en las condiciones de vida provocado por el desarrollo tecnológico incrementó la población mundial, el gasto de energía, la producción de alimentos y los de bienes de consumo. A su vez, se aceleró la contaminación ambiental, la deforestación, el surgimiento de las grandes ciudades y otros fenómenos que se han convertido en un problema para la humanidad. Nos proponemos mostrar la problemática actual existente entre el desarrollo tecnológico su repercusión sobre el medio ambiente, la salud humana así como las posibles vías para el encuentro de soluciones. La contaminación ataca la salud humana, por el agua o el aire; por la merma de los rendimientos de cultivos; también en la salud del ganado y en la pesca. Se han liberado cantidades de CO² y de otros gases de efecto invernadero que han provocado un exceso de mortalidad cifrado en 70 000 defunciones en Europa, y se agravan las enfermedades cardiovasculares y respiratorias con 1,2 millones de defunciones cada año en zonas urbanas. Los niveles de polen y otros alérgenos son mayores lo que puede provocar afecciones alérgicas como el asma, que afecta a unos 300 millones de personas. Los desastres naturales se han triplicado con creces desde los años sesenta; cada año esos desastres causan más de 60 000 muertes. La creciente variabilidad de las precipitaciones afectará el suministro de agua dulce y lo que hará peligrar la higiene, aumentar el riesgo de enfermedades diarreicas, que matan a 2,2 millones de personas cada año. Se ha multiplicado por dos la frecuencia de sequías extremas y por seis su duración media, lo que ha incrementado la hambruna. Es probable que se prolonguen las estaciones de importantes enfermedades transmitidas por vectores, como la esquistosomiasis, la malaria y el dengue. La Cumbre celebrada en Copenhague evidenció el caos de los gobiernos mundiales, dado que no se alcanzó consenso y se postergó para el 2010 la firma de un tratado vinculante. En el 2010 en la conferencia de Cancún se estableció el 'Fondo Verde' para ayudar a los países más pobres a enfrentar el cambio climático y algunos compromisos políticos, pero no se llegó al tratado vinculante. Es necesario entender la urgencia de las medidas y la importancia de la participación de todos en el cuidado de los recursos naturales.The improvement of living conditions caused by technological development increased world population, energy expenditure, food production and consumer goods. Turn accelerated environmental pollution, deforestation, the rise of big cities and other phenomena that have become a problem for humanity. We intend to show the current problems between the technological development of its impact on the environment, human health and the possible ways of finding solutions. Pollution attacks the human health, water or air, due to reduced crop yields, also on the health of livestock and fisheries. It has released sufficient quantities of CO² and other greenhouse gases that have caused an excess mortality estimated at 70 000 deaths in Europe, aggravate cardiovascular and respiratory disease with 1.2 million deaths each year in urban areas. The levels of pollen and other allergens are higher which may cause allergic conditions like asthma, which affects about 300 million people. Natural disasters have more than tripled since the sixties, every year these disasters cause more than 60 000 deaths. The increasing variability of rainfall will affect the supply of fresh water and which will endanger the health, increase the risk of diarrheal diseases that kill 2.2 million people each year. It has doubled the frequency of extreme droughts and their average length of six, increasing famine. Is likely to prolong the seasons of major vector-borne diseases such as schistosomiasis, malaria and dengue. The summit in Copenhagen showed the chaos of the world's governments since no consensus was reached in 2010 was postponed signing a binding treaty. In 2010 at the Cancun conference established the «Green Fund» to help poorer countries cope with climate change and policy commitments but no binding agreement was reached. It is necessary to understand the urgency of the measures and the importance of the participation of all in the care of natural resources.

El cambio climático comienza a manifestar efectos en las actividades económicas de la Comunidad Valenciana. El turismo es una parte fundamental de su economía, puesto que representa el 15% de su PIB regional. La modalidad de 'sol y playa' es la principal actividad turística en el territorio valenciano, de ahí la importancia del análisis de las alteraciones que están experimentando los elementos climáticos debido a su efecto en el recurso turístico y en las preferencias de la demanda. La pérdida del 'confort climático', el aumento de las noches “tropicales” (Tª > 20ºC), el incremento de la temperaturas del agua de mar Mediterráneo y la adaptación a los extremos atmosféricos (olas de calor, lluvias intensas, sequías) son los principales desafíos en las políticas de adaptación al cambio climático en el turismo valenciano.

RESUMEN: Durante las últimas décadas se ha venido demostrando la existencia de oscilaciones climáticas ocurridas durante del Tardiglaciar en el Hemisferio Norte por medio de correlaciones entre los diferentes tipos de archivos (sondeos glaciares y marinos y secuencias terrestres). Esto ha permitido detectar un amplio espectro de parámetros que nos ayuda a comprender mejor los cambios climáticos ocurridos en Europa. Mientras los territorios situados en el Norte y Noroeste de Europa se ven privados de la influencia directa de la Corriente del Golfo durante el Tardiglaciar, la P. Ibérica está situada en estos momentos al Este de la parte norte de dicha Corriente Noratlántica. Aquí, los cambios acaecidos parecen haber influido menos en la flora y fauna que en los territorios situados más al Norte. Sin embargo, de forma episódica, estas condiciones del Máximo Glaciar pudieron penetrar dentro de la franja norte de la P. Ibérica viéndose afectadas también las regiones del centro de este territorio. En este artículo se analizan diferentes datos de Fauna Fría (representaciones parietales, mobiliares y restos faunísticos) de determinados yacimientos peninsulares durante el Tardiglaciar, discutiéndose sus fechas absolutas y relacionándolas con las del 'El Magdaleniense con Triángulos'.ABSTRACT: During recent years the comparison and synchronisation of several high-resolution climate archives (ice-cores, deep sea cores and terrestrial sequences) has repeatedly shown that Late Glacial climatic oscillations were firstly very rapid and secondly, at least in the northern hemisphere, more or less simultaneous events. This database has made it possible to establish a broad spectrum of parameters which can be used to model the essential mechanisms of European Late Glacial climatic change. During phases when northern and north-western Europe lay for longer periods of time outside the direct influence of the North Atlantic Current (Gulf Stream) the tail of the current switched directly to the latitude of the Iberian Peninsula. Here, climate change had a far less severe impact on the flora and fauna than in the more northern regions, although the pattern of oscillations is the same as in Greenland or the North Atlantic. Nevertheless, several pleniglacial climatic events allowed characteristic species to reach the northern edge of the Iberian Peninsula and, during certain time-slices, to penetrate even further to the south. This paper discusses the chronological significance of typical Cold Fauna elements from specific Late Glacial sites, as represented by both skeletal remains and mobiliary and parietal art. Finally, we discuss the absolute age of the Cantabrian 'Magdaleniense con Triángulos' relative to the cold climate faunal data.

Resumo:Este trabalho analisa as mudanças organizacionais que ocorreram em empreendimentos da agricultura familiar do município de Espera Feliz (MG) a partir da operacionalização de ações do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE). O caso da Cooperativa da Agricultura Familiar e Solidária de Espera Feliz (Coofeliz) foi analisado a partir da abordagem da sociologia econômica para identificar e compreender as mudanças que ocorrem na medida em que se deu a adesão ao PNAE. A análise permitiu identificar que os processos de organização produtiva dos cooperados e a organização gerencial da cooperativa foram significativamente afetados pelo conjunto de regras e procedimentos estabelecidos pelo programa. As novidades institucionais promovidas pelo programa influenciaram o surgimento de inovações organizacionais, cujo principal exemplo foi o 'Vale Solidário', criado para suprir a dificuldade de pagamento aos agricultores devido à ausência de capital de giro. As relações estabelecidas entre os cooperados e os agentes envolvidos no processo de aquisição de alimentos para alimentação escolar permitiram o surgimento de padrões de mercado mais próximos à realidade dos agricultores familiares. Por fim, o acesso ao PNAE também provocou mudanças na matriz produtiva dos cooperados, no sentido de maior diversificação produtiva, ao invés de uma especialização voltada para uma commodity

Este artigo apresenta alguns dos resultados obtidos no projeto de pesquisa “Análise da cobertura de problemas ambientais pelo jornal online Diário Catarinense”, desenvolvido no âmbito do Laboratório de Estudos Avançados de Jornalismo na e sobre a Amazônia (LABJAM) e cujo objetivo foi analisar a cobertura jornalística dos problemas ambientais de Santa Catarina realizada por um dos principais jornais online do Estado. O estudo demostrou pouca contribuição da cobertura para que decisões esclarecidas por parte dos moradores da capital de Santa Catarina em relação às mudanças climáticas globais fossem tomadas. Este artigo aponta as precariedades encontradas na cobertura na categoria de análise da contextualização e aponta caminhos para qualificar o conteúdo informativo sobre a questão ambiental e suas vertentes em Santa Catarina. ABSTRACT This article presents some of the results obtained in the research project 'Analysis of the coverage of environmental problems by the online newspaper Diário Catarinense ', developed within the scope of the Laboratory of Advanced Studies of Journalism in and on the Amazon (LABJAM) and whose objective was to analyze the coverage of the environmental problems of Santa Catarina by one of the state's main online newspapers. The study showed little contribution from the coverage so that informed decisions by residents of the capital of Santa Catarina regarding global climate change were made. This article points out the precariousness found in coverage in the analysis category of contextualization and points out ways to qualify the information content on the environmental issue and its aspects in Santa Catarina. RESUMEN Este artículo presenta algunos de los resultados obtenidos en el proyecto de investigación 'Análisis de la cobertura de problemas ambientales por el periódico online Diario Catarinense', desarrollado en el ámbito del Laboratorio de Estudios Avanzados de Periodismo en la Amazonía (LABJAM) y cuyo objetivo fue analizar la cobertura periodística de los problemas ambientales de Santa Catarina realizada por uno de los principales periódicos en línea del Estado. El estudio demuestra poca contribución de la cobertura para que las decisiones esclarecidas por parte de los habitantes de la capital de Santa Catarina en relación con los cambios climáticos globales fueran tomadas. En unas décadas, el cambio climático ha pasado de ser una teoría propuesta por una serie de expertos a un hecho real y evidente. La modificación del clima está aquí y ha llegado para quedarse. La industria ha elevado un 30% la emisión de gases a la atmósfera y según los últimos datos, la concentración de CO2 en la atmosfera alcanza el valor record de 418 ppm (Oke, 2015). Cifra que no ha parado de crecer incluso tras la implantación de medidas de control y reducción establecidas por la Unión Europea y Gobiernos. Las emisiones producen el denominado “efecto invernadero” que está modificando todos los parámetros meteorológicos, no solo del medio rural, sino también del medio urbano. Las ciudades constituyen uno de los focos principales de contaminación y de consumo de los recursos naturales. En ellas, se está produciendo un efecto conocido como “Isla de calor urbana” como consecuencia de una serie de factores: crecimiento, contaminación, escasez de zonas verdes y aumento de las zonas pavimentadas (Higueras, 2009; Higueras, 2007). Este efecto se define como la diferencia de temperatura existente entre la ciudad y las zonas rurales limítrofes. En la ciudad de Granada se desarrollan los factores indicados para la producción de este fenómeno, convirtiéndola junto a Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia y una zona de Canarias como las únicas zonas de España donde se superan los límites máximos anuales de dióxido de nitrógeno en el aire (Independiente, 2019). Esta circunstancia viene incrementada por la cercanía al Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada con altitudes que rondan los 2.800 metros. Esta circunstancia, unida a la escasez de vientos en la zona y el contraste diario en las temperaturas, (de hasta 20ºC al día) (Consejería, 2020), hace que se produzca el efecto conocido como “inversión térmica”, de tal forma que la contaminación queda embolsada en la ciudad (Alomar and Llop, 2018; Moreno and Serra, 2016). La Gran Vía de Granada está situada en el centro de la ciudad y es posiblemente una de las calles más transitadas, tanto por vehículos como por peatones (Bosque, 1992). La investigación de las diferencias térmicas en esta céntrica calle se ha realizado mediante el método de transectos móviles con Data logger entre los meses de Abril, Mayo y Junio de 2018. También se han realizado una serie de instantáneas mediante cámara termográfica a diferentes partes de la calle (Alomar and Llop, 2018; Moreno and Serra, 2016; Quereda et al., 2003; Alonso et al., 2004; López, 1991). En total, 9 mediciones de campo cuyo resultado nos ha permitido identificar diferencias térmicas en los diferentes puntos de control de la calle de entre 1 y 3ºC y diferencias con la estación meteorológica de la Agencia Española de Meteorología, ubicada en el Aeropuerto de Granada, de entre 2 y 4ºC. El método utilizado ha determinado en la calle Gran Vía de Granada un sector caliente y otro frío. Este último coincidente con una zona fría de vientos dominantes por donde discurre el río Darro. In a few decades, climate change has gone from being a theory proposed by a number of experts to a real and obvious fact. The weather modification is here and it's here to stay. The industry has raised the emission of gases into the atmosphere by 30% and according to the latest data, the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere reaches a record value of 418 ppm (Oke, 2015). It has not stopped growing even after the implementation of control and reduction measures established by the European Union and Governments. The emissions produce the so-called “greenhouse effect” that is modifying all the meteorological parameters, not only of the rural environment, but also of the urban environment. Cities are one of the main sources of pollution and consumption of natural resources. In them, there is an effect known as 'Island of urban heat' as a result of a number of factors: growth, pollution, scarcity of green areas and increase in paved areas (Higueras, 2009; Higueras, 2007). This effect is defined as the difference in temperature between the city and the surrounding rural areas. In the city of Granada the factors indicated for the production of this phenomenon are developed, making it next to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and an area of the Canary Islands as the only areas in Spain where the maximum annual limits of nitrogen dioxide in the air are exceeded (Independiente, 2019). This circumstance is increased by the proximity to the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada with altitudes that are around 2,800 meters. This circumstance, together with the shortage of winds in the area and the daily contrast in temperatures (up to 20ºC per day) (Consejería, 2020), causes the effect known as 'thermal inversion' to occur, so that pollution is pocketed in the city (Alomar and Llop, 2018; Moreno and Serra, 2016). The Gran Vía de Granada is located in the center of the city and is possibly one of the busiest streets, both by vehicles and by pedestrians (Bosque, 1992). The investigation of the thermal differences in this central street has been carried out using the mobile transects method with Data logger between the months of April, May and June 2018. A series of snapshots have also been made by means of a thermal imager to different parts of the street (Alomar and Llop, 2018; Moreno and Serra, 2016; Quereda et al., 2003; Alonso et al., 2004; López, 1991). In total, 9 field measurements whose result has allowed us to identify thermal differences in the different control points of the street between 1 and 3ºC and differences with the meteorological station of the Spanish Meteorological Agency, located at the Granada Airport, of between 2 and 4ºC. The method used has determined a hot and a cold sector on Gran Vía street in Granada. The latter coincides with a cold zone of prevailing winds where the Darro River flows.

El Niño de 1957-58 fue el evento que puso a este fenómeno bajo la atención del mundo científico. El fenómeno no sólo coincidió con la celebración del Año Geofísico Internacional sino también con la publicación de un importante artículo de H.P. Berlage en el cual se hace referencia a la existencia y a los efectos de la Oscilación del Sur (Southern Oscillation) en el Océano Pacífico. Los efectos de El Niño 1957-58 provocaron el interés por este fenómeno por parte de climatólogos tan eminentes como Bjerknes, Flohn, y Namías, quienes empezaron a notar la existencia de 'teleconexiones' más allá de América del Sur y del Pacífico tropical. Sin embargo, El Niño 1972-73 fue el evento que reveló más claramente los efectos mundiales del fenómeno y atrajo la atención de nuevos geofísicos, oceanógrafos, ecólogos, geógrafos y politólogos. Las repeticiones de este fenómeno en 1976-77, 1982-83, 1992-94, lo convirtieron en un concepto de conocimiento general que también está llevando a un ulterior 'uso' y 'abuso' como son los casos de 'La Niña' y 'El Viejo'.

El presente trabajo es el resultado de un estudio realizado en el maco de un proyecto semilla auspiciado por el INTEC, por la Comisión Internacional Asesora de Ciencia y Tecnología y la empresa Basic Energy. Según el Anexo 1 del Protocolo de Kioto los Mecanismos de Desarrollo Limpio (MDL) le permiten a los gobiernos de los países industrializados y a las empresas suscribir acuerdos para cumplir metas de reducción de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI). Existen mecanismos específicos para la Investigación y Desarrollo (I+D), para la Transferencia de Tecnología y Creación de Capacidades para hacer frente al Cambio Climático. Como consecuencia de las razones anteriores se planteó como objetivo determinar el potencial de créditos de carbonos que se generarían en el INTEC, para ser considerados en la inserción del Mecanismo de Desarrollo Limpio, utilizando la tecnología solar fotovoltaica Luego de realizado el estudio se constata que con la instalación de un sistema solar fotovoltaico, el INTEC generaría ingresos anuales por la venta de créditos de carbono a través del Mecanismo de Desarrollo Limpio. De acuerdo a la Variante 5 (Tecn. Silicio MonoC) tales ingresos serían de unos US$ 16,531 dólares anuales. Por otro lado aunque los precios de los créditos de carbono -CREs. No son muy competitivos actualmente, los mismos influyen considerablemente en la viabilidad del proyecto. Se estima que los precios de los CREs sobrepasen los US$ 15.00 dólares en un futuro cercano De las tecnologías fotovoltaicas, la referida a los paneles de silicio monocristalino es la que más conviene debido a los precios actuales en el mercado. No obstante, debe considerarse la tecnología CIGS de película fina flexible. La diferencia de precios de kW instalado entre ambas tecnologías, según este estudio, es de US$ 276.00. El análisis muestra cómo la Variante 6 -que se refiere a las Instalaciones del INTEC + Terreno 1 + Terreno 2- tiene una capacidad que podría capturar 4,544 t Co2/año. Es la variante con mayor capacidad instalada (40 29 kW), sin embargo, el Terreno 2 no es propiedad del INTEC actualmente. En caso de que la instituion adquira el terreno, este podría acondicionarse o utilizarse para fines diversos e incluir una planta fotovoltaica en las áreas de los techos. Sin embargo la variante 5, Instalaciones del INTEC + Terreno 1 (solar parqueo 'El Desierto'), sería más conveniente para realizar la instalación tomanddo como tecnología silicio monocristalino. Esto se considera a partir de la inversión ($5,484, 787.00) y su factibilidad (TIR 14.3%, VAN $498, 462.67 y TR 7.24 años). La generacion eléctrica además del generador fotovoltaico estaría por encima del consumo. Con una capacidad instalada de 2,164 kW se generarían 3,641 kWh anualmente lo cual excede el consumo en más del 80%.
