<text>In several countries the development of agroindustry has allowed the growth of competitiveness. This is because it expands thespectrum of products available from one country to the world. This is how the penetration of new markets with quality products thathave been developed through modern production processes and optimal strategies for compliance with international standards isachieved. The present research pretends to evaluate the effect of agroindustrial competitiveness, its potentiality in the developmentof the Ecuadorian territory and international demand. For this purpose, different market studies were consulted to determine whichare the potential customers for the new products that can be developed. Likewise, a multivariate analysis was carried out using paneldata comparing the randomness of the fixed and random effects for the production decision making of several agro-industrializedproducts. The estimation was obtained for the export potential of the products, the zonal potential and potential for industrializationof analyzed products. It is concluded that the agro-industrial development conceives a greater growth of the national competitiveness.</text>

The objective of this work was to evaluate the development and natural nodulation of Leucaena leucocephala, Clitoria fairchildiana and Mimosa caesalpiniifolia, in soils with different type of land use, in Zona da Mata of Pernambuco, Brazil. Soils of four forest areas, six agriculture areas and two degraded areas were used. Soils were classified, analyzed chemically and distributed in pots 3 kg soil per pot, two plants per pot. Plant evaluations were carried out at 76, 70 and 62 days, for L. leucocephala, C. fairchildiana and M. caesalpiniifolia, respectively. The experimental design was completely randomized, with 12 treatments and 3 repetitions. Low frequencies of native populations of rhizobia were verified for L. leucocephala, with 22% of plants nodulated, compared to C. fairchildiana and M. caesalpiniifolia, with 100% and 86%, respectively. M. caesalpiniifolia presented abundant natural nodulation and efficiency in the fixation of N2, demonstrating compatibility with native populations of rhizobia. Growth, development, nodulation as well as accumulation of nitrogen of the three species, were favored with soil under agricultural areas with covering of Calopogonium mucunoides. C. fairchildiana presented greater potential for fixation of N2 and efficiency of the nodulation with native populations of rhizobia followed by M. caesalpiniifolia and L. leucocephala.</text>

In this essay, we argued that, despite the conceptual blindness of gender in Agroecology, agroecological projects open a door that leads to the participation, visibility and enhancement of women's work. At the same time they are moving toward an agrofood organization, less unsustainable, and they come together with the Ecofeminism thesis. Our thoughts are based on the experience of the women participating in the agroecological ACS-Amazon network from the Moreno-Maia Community in the State of Acre in Brazil.</text>

<text>This study aimed to evaluate the oviposition preference of the Neotropical brown stink bug, Euschistus heros (F.) on artificial substrates of different colors (felt woven). For this, ten pairs of stink bugs were transferred into plastic pots. Each pot contained seven felts of 6x20 cm (100% polyester-atoxic) of different colors (white, black, blue, green, red, yellow and brown). The pots were evaluated daily for three weeks (21 days) being counted the number of eggs, clutches and eggs per clutch for each color of felt. The choice test was set in a completely randomized design. Data obtained was submitted to the analysis of variance and means were compared by Scott-Knott test at 5% probability. During the evaluation were produced 7074 eggs distributed in 977 clutches, accounting a mean of 7.06±0.67 eggs per clutch. Results indicated that females laid a significantly greater number of eggs (2380 and 1686) and a greater number of clutches (319 and 233) on the yellow and white felts, respectively, than on the remaining substrates. The substrates in color red, black and brown were the least preferred, and the colors blue and green were intermediate when compared with others. Therefore, the substrates colored yellow and white are suggested to be used in rearing E. heros in the laboratory.</text>
