El 69% de este material es comercializado con intermediario y el 31% restante es vendido a los centros de acopios locales, quienes lo transforman en 2x2, Guayacanes, 2x3, vigas, tablas y soleras. Los desperdicios generados de las labores de aprovechamiento, en casi su totalidad no son aprovechados a excepción del aserrín, del cual una parte se utiliza en labores agropecuarias y el resto es arrojado a los ríos. Producto del segundo grado de transformación a nivel local se obtienen: camas, sillas, canaletes, canoas, entre otros materiales. Several investigations have shown as chemical, and hydraulic factors have a great influence on the proliferation of D. geminata, but the study of other microalgae that could be associated with it has been poorly addressed. The objective of this study is to evaluate the relationship between mat thickness, D. geminata and another taxon that produces mucilage, Cymbella, while also considering physical and chemical factors. For this, two samples were taken, one in the spring of 2013 and the other in the autumn of 2014, from eight rivers in central-southern Chile-South America, where the benthic community was characterized, and the thickness of the mat was measured. The results show that the mat thickness on sites with the presence of both taxa is doubled, and while sites with D. geminata presence showed mat peak on autumn, sites with Cymbella spp. presence showed on spring. Also, higher values of mat thickness associated with low cell densities of D. geminata and intermediate cell densities of Cymbella spp. Finally, physicochemical variables that better explain mat thickness are phosphorus and water temperature. An alternation process of mucilage production may explain these results by these taxa strongly related to physicochemical variables. The present study contributes evidence about the relationship between mat thickness D. geminata and other microalgae contribution, and aquatic condition for this development. Aplicando este mismo criterio, en el caso del río Bravo se registró una sequía extrema para el periodo k3 (octubre-junio) en el año agrícola 1901-1902.El Índice de Precipitación Estandarizada (SPI, por sus siglas en inglés) sólo se aplicó en la cuenca del río Colorado, y se encontró una coincidencia de sequía extrema entre la cuenca baja y total en los años 1950, 1956 y 1989; además, en este último año,también hubo sequía extrema en la cuenca alta. Tales resultados son importantes para el manejo conjunto del agua entre México y Estados Unidos en ambas cuencas,para satisfacer las demandas de sus habitantes, cumplir compromisos establecidos en el Tratado sobre Aguas Internacionales de 1944, y tomar las medidas necesarias ante el impacto del cambio climático sobre el ciclo hidrológico en la región. Title A name given to the resource La cobertura televisiva de la Cumbre de Cancún: agenda temática, discursos y fuentes en los informativos españoles Creator An entity primarily responsible for making the resource Universidad Complutense de Madrid, María Dolores Cáceres Zapatero, María Luisa Sánchez Calero, Enrique Morales Description An account of the resource Este artículo desea plasmar en datos los resultados obtenidos sobre la representación mediática que ha alcanzado la información sobre la Cumbre del Clima en Cancún (México) celebrada entre los días 29 de noviembre y 10 de diciembre de 2010 dentro de la escaleta programada por los informativos de las principales cadenas públicas y privadas de las televisiones españolas. Se realizó un análisis cuantitativo a partir de una muestra de 169 registros de piezas informativas que representan la proyección mediática de la noticia seleccionada. Entre los parámetros seleccionados para el estudio se encuentran: la construcción de las piezas informativas  emitidas, el tiempo ocupado por la emisión de la información, la duración de las noticias en las tres franjas horarias de emisión de los informativos para identificar el grado de interés que ha representado para el medio y los temas más recurrentes en las informaciones según el horario de emisión de las mismas. Mientras que en la tercera parte nos centramos en la inclusión de fuentes en sus noticias y en la representatividad de las mismas. Estas son algunas de las cuestiones de un protocolo que ayudarán a señalar matices sobre la representación, tratamiento y discurso que alcanza la cobertura de la noticia presentada sobre el cambio climático en los medios de comunicación analizados.
