Sin embargo, dicha fracción fue menos estudiada que su contraparte aérea, principalmente por el gran esfuerzo que demanda muestrearla a campo y procesarla en el laboratorio. En la XXVIII Reunión Argentina de Ecología (Mar del Plata, 2018) se realizaron dos simposios sobre la importancia de conocer las raíces en estudios ecológicos. De los simposios surgió la necesidad de 1) cuantificar los estudios que hayan evaluado las fracciones subterránea y aérea de la vegetación, y 2) determinar las metodologías empleadas y las variables de la fracción subterránea registradas en sistemas naturales (i.e., pastizales, estepas, bosques, arbustales y desierto) y antropizados (i.e., pasturas y cultivos) en seis provincias fitogeográficas de la Argentina y en dos regiones geomorfológicas de Uruguay. Se registraron 933 estudios publicados entre 1990 y 2019. El 57% y el 23% correspondieron a estudios exclusivos de la fracción aérea y de la subterránea, respectivamente, con un incremento exponencial en el tiempo de ambas fracciones. En la actualidad existe una tendencia a incorporar el compartimiento subterráneo en estudios ecológicos. Mediante un análisis sistemático se encontró que se emplearon seis métodos de muestreo (barreno, ruleros, planta entera, monolitos, rhizotron y estimación de la biomasa subterránea a partir de la biomasa aérea) para evaluar cuatro variables (biomasa subterránea, productividad primaria neta subterránea, algunos atributos radicales y tasa de descomposición radical). El método más empleado fue el del barreno y la variable más evaluada fue la biomasa subterránea. Proponemos fomentar la colaboración entre equipos de investigación y establecer comparaciones metodológicas para comprender los alcances de los resultados y obtener estimaciones más confiables sobre las consecuencias del cambio en el uso del suelo. This study investigates if these relationships exist at the inter-field level when soil types between fields are constant or different in a vineyard in Southern France. Method and result: Nine fields were sampled for ΨPD on 6 dates over two growing seasons. When general assumptions of uniformity in climate, growing conditions and soil moisture were able to be met, a linear relationship between the mean ΨPD responses of different fields was observed. The relationship was no longer linear when the soil moisture regime between fields differed. Conclusion: The results indicate that it should be possible to extrapolate a reference ΨPD value across a production region (syndicate/co-operative) defined on a similar soil type. Significance and impact of study: These intra-field relationships may minimise the need for ΨPD sampling to define irrigation/crop management in areas planted to similar soil types. The poor fit between fields with differing soil moisture regimes indicates that the original intra-field model may be flawed in larger fields or vineyards with heterogeneous soil moisture conditions. La formación de hojas está determinada por el adecuado crecimiento de raíces y la cantidad de agua disponible en el suelo. El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar la respuesta de plantas de S.rebaudiana Bert. a cuatro láminas de riego calculadas a partir de la evapotranspiración de referencia (ETo) en interacción con inoculantes microbianos.Método Se aplicaron tratamientos de riego con 60, 80, 100 y 120% de la ETo estimada con un tanque evaporímetro tipo “A” en plantas previamente inoculadas. Se evaluaron como inoculantes una mezcla de Bacillus spp. y Azospirillum brasilense, Rhizophagus intraradices y un testigo (sin inocular). Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar con arreglo bi-factorial y cuatro repeticiones. Se evaluaron parámetros de crecimiento, producción y distribución de biomasa seca, intercambio de gases y uso eficiente del agua. Resultados Se encontró diferencia estadística (p ≤ 0.05) causada por los factores separados. La mayor altura se obtuvo con 120% ETo, aunque fue estadísticamente igual a 100% ETo (p ≤ 0.05), alcanzando 42.86 y 40.58 cm, respectivamente; la mayor área foliar se obtuvo con 120% ETo. El tratamiento con Rhizophagus intraradices mostró diferencias significativas (p ≤ 0.05) en la longitud de raíz contra el testigo, pero fue estadísticamente similar a la mezcla de rizobacterias. De igual forma, R. intraradices mejoró el volumen de raíz registrando 2.49 cm3 con respecto al testigo y redujo en 20% la aplicación de la ETo para obtener la mayor producción de biomasa seca de hoja y raíz. La interacción R. intraradices + 80% ETo favoreció la asimilación del CO2 con 5.41 µmol m-2 s-1, de esta manera se proporcionó mejores condiciones para la transpiración y el uso eficiente del agua (1.87 µmol CO2 mmol-1 H20). Conclusión Los tratamientos de riego mostraron efectos en la altura, área foliar, diámetro del tallo y rendimiento de hoja seca, mientras que el factor inoculante sólo afectó la longitud de raíz, volumen de raíz, relación MSV/MSR y rendimiento. Por último, la interacción de ambos factores solo fue significativa para la producción de biomasa seca e intercambio de gases.
