The analysis of the propolis production's subsector state in Colombia and America Latina markets was done in this study. With the aim of introduce it into the international markets, considering the social consequences in a hypothetical stage of a success product worldwide demand and the globalization issues that some experts have analyzed. It is inappropriate to involve indigenes and peasant communities into the globalizing processes was concluded, it would be better if they work through a internal building process, strengthening their internal market that give them the opportunity to come out of the poverty circle and bring them solutions to malnutrition and food safety. Propolis is collected by bees (Apis mellifera) from different trees and bushes. The propolis contains many medical, nutritional as well pharmaceutical properties, so despite of their incipient production as well the lower volumes of production in Colombia as well as the rest of Latin America, it is major subject of interest, investigations and research. One of the reason of lower production and developement of it, is the a lack of stimulus that producer feel from the State-Government and same system of marketing that undervalued the qualities of the product and not so fairly remunerated.</text>

However, much of the population does not know about the biology and ecology of these animals and fear them for being associated with malefic animals. The present work aimed to present the perception of the high school students of two schools in the city of Rio de Janeiro regarding bats and the resulting changes in the knowledge of these animals after an environmental education work. For that, we used open questionnaires before the lecture and practice class and another after the environmental education work. In the classes, the students were able to get to know some of the biology, diversity and curiosities about bats, as well as playing on taxidermized specimens and doubting the ecology of these animals. A total of 122 questionnaires were analyzed and it was possible to observe that, after classes, knowledge of bats biology increased, with a greater number of items related to food and shelter. In addition to increasing references to affection/ help and understanding about the importance of bats in ecosystems. It can be concluded from this study that the school is a great tool to expand access to knowledge in the accomplishment of extracurricular activities, in order to help consolidate activities for the conservation of bats. In terms of Agronomy courses, there is a tendency for themes related to agroecology and university extension come to discussions among students, professors, professionals and society in general. Thus, this paper reports experiences of the 16th edition of the Regional Meeting of Agronomy students (EREA), promoting discussion about the main topics addressed in the professional training of Agronomy. It is considered the need to broaden the discussion about professionals’ capacitation who can overcome the limits and problematics about the Agronomy hegemonic conception. It is concluded that the regional meetings of students of Agronomy are consecrated as a space for dialogue and critical formation within the whole national student movement, concomitantly contributing to the social and cultural exchange between students from different regions and their knowledge of dynamics of social movements. Numerous studies have been conducted on the biodiversity of organisms that inhabit bromeliad water tanks. However, little is known about how organisms reach these tanks (also called “phytotelmata”). Two other aspects of bromeliad ecology, the effect of tree age and the cardinal distribution of bromeliads in canopies are slightly better known, but still little research has been done on these subjects for Central American bromeliads. To improve understanding of these subjects, we studied bromeliad ecology in Pejibaye de Jiménez, Cartago, Costa Rica. To avoid destroying natural phytotelmata, we built 150 artificial bromeliads with plastic cups to test Picado’s hypotheses that phytotelmata are colonized via rain and debris. We set them in the field in February 2012 and collected macroinvertebrates from them after seven weeks. We also measured bromeliad leaf length and trunk diameters in 100 Gliricidia sepium trees and counted bromeliads in the four cardinal directions of 60 trees. In agreement with Picado’s hypotheses, the bromeliads that did not receive rainwater had 2,9 times less invertebrates than the control, and the bromeliads that did not receive debris had 3,4 times less invertebrates than the control. Larger trees had more and larger bromeliads growing on them, possibly because they were older and had more structural complexity. Mean number of bromeliads was lower in the west side of canopies, the side that receives less sunlight. These findings not only address Picado’s hypotheses in the centenary of their publication, but also are potentially useful for conservation of bromeliads and the complex microecosystems that they house.</text>
