Las pérdidas ocasionadas, por fallas en los aspectos sanitarios durante la producción, se estiman en el mundo en el orden del 30%. Existe la necesidad de facilitar la incorporación de conocimientos teóricos y prácticos relacionados con la producción segura de alimentos en circuitos formales e informales de producción. Tradicionalmente, dichos conocimientos se transmitían entre especialistas de oficio, de maestros a aprendices, de un establecimiento a otro, o bien entre gremios. La realidad muestra una pérdida progresiva de estas tradiciones y el aumento de producciones de alimentos de manera ineficaz con el consiguiente riesgo para la salud. Las normativas vigentes y las dependencias del Estado encargadas de impartirlas han prestado escasa atención a las metodologías didácticas para capacitar trabajadores alfabetizados o no en el área de seguridad alimentaria. La población correspondió a 30 estudiantes de grado décimo y 4 docentes, de una institución educativa colombiana. Los contenidos se crearon de acuerdo a los lineamientos del Ministerio de Educación de Colombia, atendiendo las problemáticas ambientales que  se  presentan a nivel mundial. La validación del material educativo por parte de los estudiantes, evidencia la efectividad de la gamificación y las TIC en   la atención,  disposición  para  el  aprendizaje  y mejoramiento del ambiente de aula. Los docentes consideran el material educativo apropiado al nivel de enseñanza, y pertinente para el trabajo de clase. En la región sur de la provincia de Córdoba estos humedales brindan diferentes servicios ecológicos muchos de los cuales están vinculados a la fauna de peces. En marzo de 2010, se evaluó la calidad del agua y la estructura de la ictiofauna de la laguna Onagoity (34 ° 46’25 “S, 63 ° 38’37” W, 190 ha). El agua era oligohalina (2,30 mg/L), muy dura (314 ppm de CaCO3) y sulfato-cloruro de sodio. La relación Ca + Mg / Na + K fue de 0.23. Los valores promedio de pH, temperatura, oxígeno disuelto y transparencia (disco Secchi) fueron 8.84, 23.5 ºC, 9.7 mg/L y 0.33 m, respectivamente. En conexión con la ictiofauna, se capturaron 13 especies pertenecientes a 5 órdenes y 9 familias: Odontesthes bonariensis, Cyprinus carpio, Jenynsia multidentata, Cyphocharax voga , Astyanax eigenmanniorum, Bryconamericus iheringii, Oligosarcus jenynsii, Cheirodon interruptus, Hoplias malabaricus, Corydoras paleatus, Loricariichthys anus, Pimelodus albicans y Rhamdia quelen. Los índices de diversidad de Simpson y Shannon-Wiener fueron de 0,84 y 3,04 bits, respectivamente, y el valor de Pielou fue de 0,82. Teniendo en cuenta todos los aparejos de pesca utilizados, el pejerrey O. bonariensis fue la especie más abundante en número (31,0%), con una relación longitud-peso: W = 0,578 E-06 * StL 3,149 (n = 92, R2 = 0,99, 95 % CI de b = 3.11 a 3.18) y captura por unidad de esfuerzo (CPUE) de 26.1 kg / neta / 20 horas y 165 peces / neta / 20 horas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito do US contínuo sobre a proliferação e viabilidade de células musculares precursoras (mioblastos C2C12). Mioblastos C2C12 foram cultivados em meio de cultura contendo 10% de soro fetal bovino e irradiados com US contínuo nas freqüências de 1 e 3 MHz nas intensidades de 0,2 e 0,5 W/cm2, durante 2 e 5 minutos. A viabilidade e proliferação celular foram avaliadas após 24, 48 e 72 h de incubação. Grupos não-irradiados serviram como controle. Foram realizados experimentos independentes em cada condição acima, e os dados obtidos submetidos à análise estatística. Os resultados mostram que não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa na proliferação e viabilidade celular entre os mioblastos tratados com US e as culturas controles após os diferentes períodos de incubação, em todos os parâmetros avaliados. Conclui-se que o US contínuo, nos parâmetros avaliados, não foi capaz de alterar a proliferação e viabilidade dos mioblastos.Therapeutic ultrasound (US) is a biophysical stimulation resource widely used in order to promote better, faster muscle repair, but the effectiveness of continuous US in treating injuries is not fully established. The aim of the present in vitro study was to assess the effects of continuous ultrasound on viability and proliferation of skeletal muscle precursor cells (C2C12 myoblasts). C2C12 myoblasts were cultured in a medium containing 10% foetal bovine serum and irradiated with continuous ultrasound at 1 and 3 MHz frequencies, at intensities of 0.2 and 0.5 W/cm² for 2 and 5 minutes. Cell viability and proliferation were assessed after different incubation periods (24, 48 and 72 h). Non-irradiated groups served as control and data were statistically analysed. Results showed that no significant differences in cell viability or proliferation could be found between ultrasound-treated myoblasts and control cultures under all test parameters and durations. Hence continuous ultrasound, at the used parameters, was unable to alter myoblast proliferation and viability. Este estudio contribuye con información sobre la variación poblacional del Ostrero Austral, el comportamiento alimentario y su dieta en un sector del estuario del río Gallegos, durante el año 2010. Asimismo, se presentan las variaciones temporales en la densidad, biomasa y longitud máxima de valvas de la población de alme-jas (Darina solenoides) disponibles, en la zona llamada Orenaike. La abundancia máxima de ostreros fue de 650 en el mes de marzo y el mínimo de 15 individuos en octubre. La tasa media de alimenta-ción fue de 0,67 presas/min. Los ostreros dedicaron 93,20% del tiempo a la búsqueda de alimento; mientras que el resto se distribuyó entre manipulación e ingesta de la presa, y una pequeña proporción (0,56%) al acicalamiento o descanso. Las principales presas fueron los moluscos bivalvos Darina solenoides y Mytilus edulis platensis las cuales aportaron en conjunto casi el 60% de la dieta. Los poliquetos también resultaron importantes, contribuyendo con más del 40% a la alimentación. La densidad media de almejas disponibles en el sustrato fue de 56,08 ind/m2, la biomasa media de 0,189 g/ind y el largo de valva promedio de 24,89 mm. Las dimensiones medias de las presas seleccionadas por el ostrero fueron 28,25 mm de largo máximo y 12,98 mm de alto para Darina solenoides y 26,43 mm de largo máximo y 13,55 mm de alto para Mytilus edulis platensis, lo que estaría indicando que es una especie altamente selectiva en relación a las dimensiones de sus presas. La biomasa media de las presas consumidas fue de 0,194 g de peso seco/almeja. Tiene como objetivo analizar las variaciones temporales de la población del mejillón Mytilus edulis platensis y de la almeja Darina solenoides y se inserta en un Proyecto de Investigación (29A/227 dirigido por Dra. Z. Lizarralde) que tiene como objeto estudiar la ecología trófica del Ostrero Austral (Haematopus leucopodus) en el estuario del río Gallegos (Santa Cruz). Durante el 2010 se efectuaron muestreos mensuales (abril a diciembre) en un banco de mejillones y otro de almejas, con el objeto de analizar la variación temporal de la densidad y biomasa, y la estructura de tallas poblacional. Se analizó la granulometría y porcentaje de materia orgánica de los sedimentos. El sedimento del banco de mejillones se encuentra constituido en su mayoría por la fracción correspondiente a los gránulos; en el banco de almejas por arenas muy finas (43%) y finas (39%). En ambos casos la materia orgánica no supera el 3 %. La densidad de mejillones alcanzó un valor máximo de 2255 individuos/m2 en abril y un mínimo de 497 en noviembre. La biomasa máxima se encontró en abril (110 g/m 2). La densidad de Darina solenoides alcanzó un valor máximo de 565 en junio y un mínimo de 282 individuos/m2 en el mes de octubre. La biomasa máxima ocurrió en diciembre (132 g/m2). No se detectó el período de reclutamiento de nuevos individuos en los bancos de las especies estudiadas. Casos particulares como Puerto Wilches (Santander) en donde la agroindustria ha estado presente por más de cinco décadas orientan a un reconocimiento de los procesos de transformación asociados a la agroindustria en el territorio. Buscando contribuir a esta necesidad, se tuvo como objetivo identificar los procesos históricos en torno al surgimiento de la agroindustria de la palma de aceite y su consolidación como principal actividad económica del municipio. Copo Terrés Description An account of the resource La propagación de conflictos socio-ambientales a partir de los megaproyectos y el extractivismo da lugar a la polarización y enfrentamiento entre las partes involucradas, generalmente eclipsando las esferas sociales intangibles y erosionando los derechos humanos a nivel local. En el caso específico de México, cambios legislativos recientes derivados de una reforma energética abrieron la puerta a las Evaluaciones de Impacto Social (“EVIS”) como medida de mitigación a este problema.  Si bien esto es un avance relevante, a criterio de los autores el alcance actual de esta figura mantiene un enfoque reduccionista que demerita la búsqueda de una sustentabilidad integral. Partiendo de la premisa que en su momento dio pie al nacimiento del derecho ambiental de interiorizar las externalidades, el presente artículo propone complementar los mecanismos actualmente exigibles en materia social y ambiental con mecanismos robustos que permitan la evaluación y gestión del impacto social de manera transdisciplinaria y transparente, incluyendo por lo menos, factores antropológicos, sociológicos, cuantitativos, jurídicos y de derechos humanos, así como un diálogo-acompañamiento abierto y continuo con las comunidades involucradas, tendiente a generar un estándar crítico que favorezca la gobernanza de las distintas dimensiones del desarrollo.
