Mounting evidence substantiates the presence of cardiac injury in patients with COVID-19. Although a recent study reported that 12% of patients had COVID-19 associated acute cardiac injury. Case presentation : A 38 year old male was admitted with pneumonia and cardiac symptoms. He was genetically confirmed as COVID-19 by swab PCR testing, 1 week after admission. He also had elevated CKMB and Hs troponin T level, high Ferritin level, CRP, lymphopenia, and a slight increase in N/L ratio. Chest radiography showed bilateral pneumonia. The patient was confirmed to the diagnosis of Myocardial injury. After receiving tocilizumab and immunoglobulin, his condition improved gradually with the declining laboratory inflammation marker, but there was a secondary infection with an increased of leucocyte and worsen chest radiography, escalating antibiotic and metilprednisolon was given, the patient gradually improving. People’s self-efficacy to adopt preventive behaviours to avoid COVID-19 contagion and spread should be studied. The aim of this study was to develop and psychometrically test the COVID-19 prevention, detection, and home-management self-efficacy scale (COVID-19-SES). We conducted an observational cross-sectional study. Six-hundred and seventy-eight people participated in the study. Data were collected between March and May 2020. The COVID-19-SES’ validity (content, criterion, and construct), reliability (internal consistency and test-retest reliability), and legibility were studied. The COVID-19-SES’ reliability was high (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.906; intraclass correlation coefficient = 0.754). The COVID-19-SES showed good content validity (scale’s content validity index = 0.92) and good criterion validity when the participants’ results on the COVID-19-SES were compared to their general self-efficacy (r = 0.38; p < 0.001). Construct validity analysis revealed that the COVID-19-SES’ three-factor structure explained 52.12% of the variance found and it was congruent with the World Health Organisation’s recommendations to prevent COVID-19 contagion and spread. Legibility analysis showed that the COVID-19-SES is easy to read and understand by laypeople. The COVID-19-SES is a psychometrically robust instrument that allows for a valid and reliable assessment of people’s self-efficacy in preventing, detecting symptoms, and home-managing COVID-19. The aim of the article is to describe and attempt to analyze selected legal instruments in the time of economic crisis and to justify the adopted thesis about the need for measures aimed at economic stimulation. The methods used in the article are a combination of basic research methods in accordance with the principle of methodological pluralism, formal and dogmatic methods have been used, by which the author understands a systemic, linguistic and functional interpretation, as well as a legal-comparative method. The formal-dogmatic method is dominant in the discussion of the resulting regulations, and the legal-comparative method allows to notice the differences between the adopted solutions. The results of the analysis, economic data and conclusions drawn from the considerations allow to confirm the thesis about the need and effectiveness of top-down legal instruments implemented in most sectors of the economy. The aim of this article is to present how selected entities modified their offer to the customer during the COVID-19 era and to consider how these changes can be used in the future. The empirical part of the study is based on the multiple case study method. The analysis of the development of the customer offer allows us to conclude that it is possible to effectively combine modern technologies and communication tools with providing new value to the customer and teaching them market autonomy. Therefore, there is a simultaneous consumer education and the pursuit of a competitive advantage by enriching value for the customer. TROPOMI satellite observations of tropospheric NO2 vertical column densities (VCDs) and several meteorological parameters are used to train the neural network model for the prediction of surface NO2 concentrations. The neural network model is validated against ground-based in situ air quality monitoring network measurements and regional chemical transport model (CTM) simulations. Neural network estimation of surface NO2 concentrations show good agreement with in situ monitor data with Pearson correlation coefficient (R) of 0.80. The results also show that the machine learning approach is performing better than regional CTM simulations in predicting surface NO2 concentrations. We also performed a sensitivity analysis for each input parameter of the neural network model. The validated neural network model is then used to estimate surface NO2 concentrations over Germany from 2018 to 2020. Estimated surface NO2 concentrations are used to investigate the spatio-temporal characteristics, such as seasonal and weekly variations of NO2 in Germany. The estimated surface NO2 concentrations provide comprehensive information of NO2 spatial distribution which is very useful for exposure estimation. We estimated the annual average NO2 exposure for 2018, 2019 and 2020 is 15.53, 15.24 and 13.27 μμg/m3, respectively. While the annual average NO2 concentration of 2018, 2019 and 2020 is only 12.79, 12.60 and 11.15 μμg/m3. In addition, we used the surface NO2 data set to investigate the impacts of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on ambient NO2 levels in Germany. In general, 10–30% lower surface NO2 concentrations are observed in 2020 compared to 2018 and 2019, indicating the significant impacts of a series of restriction measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
