                <text>According to Norziani Dahalan, (2012) students’ involvement is important in online classes. When students communicate verbally with teachers or with friends, their abilities will automatically develop. However, in online classes the researcher found that students were passive and didn't want to calculate their progress, they would be slower. Therefore, this study aims to see how the students’ involvement in EFL online classroom during Covid-19 Pandemic at State Senior High School 1 Bengkalis with the hope that teachers can try to overcome it. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. To measure the data, researchers used observation, video documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used in this research is to use qualitative data analysis techniques developed by Miles, (2019) which includes three activities, namely: data reduction, data presentation, concluding, or levers. The results of this study are: First, student involvement with the teacher is passive. Second, student involvement with other students. Students can interact with their classmates in the online learning process even though the response is very time-consuming because the teacher or student's internet connection network is sometimes bad and interferes with the learning process. Third, student involvement with the material. The involvement of English students with learning materials at SMA N 1 can be said to be good. Because the English teacher teaches well like how he does face-to-face learning in class. The difference is, he uses an online application.</text>

                <text>Previous studies have acknowledged the importance of resilience in enabling individuals to cope and bounce back from crises and unexpected situations like the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, this study advances conservation of resources theory by investigating the job, social, and personal resources underlying employees’ resilience, and the impact of resilience in stimulating job engagement amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The model was tested using data collected from 259 employees in Malaysia. Results of path modeling analysis revealed significant impacts of self-efficacy, facilitating conditions, and family and friends’ support on employees’ resilience. Besides, resilience was significantly associated with job engagement. Our findings suggest that management concerns for employees may not enhance employees’ resilience amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, management could stimulate their employees’ resilience by providing them with the flexibility to spend quality time with their loved ones and adequate support for enabling working conditions.</text>

In the process of controlling the pandemic, many Chinese medical staff (MS) were infected. We used government data, post mortem reports, and the medical literature on severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) transmission, as well as prevention-and-control guidelines from the government, hospitals and media, to discuss the main risks factors faced by MS. We suggest that, when dealing with a similar pandemic in the future, guidance on personal protective equipment must be provided and materials reserved in advance. The initial management of the pandemic was dominated by virologists, supported by epidemiologists who did not always meet indispensable scientific requirements. Public Health is universal and goes beyond health security as social and other upstream determinants of health play a central role.                 <text>The COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown has taken the world by storm. This study examines its impact on the anxiety level of university students in Malaysia during the peak of the crisis and the pertinent characteristics affecting their anxiety. A cross-sectional online survey, using Zung’s self-rating anxiety questionnaire was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. Out of the 983 respondents, 20.4%, 6.6%, and 2.8% experienced minimal to moderate, marked to severe, and most extreme levels of anxiety. Female gender (OR = 21.456, 95% CI = 1.061, 1.998, p = 0.020), age below 18 years (OR = 4.147, 95% CI = 1.331, 12.918, p = 0.014), age 19 to 25 (OR = 3.398, 95% CI = 1.431, 8.066, p = 0.006), pre-university level of education (OR = 2.882, 95% CI = 1.212, 6.854, p = 0.017), management studies (OR = 2.278, 95% CI = 1.526, 3.399, p &lt; 0.001), and staying alone (OR = 2.208, 95% CI = 1.127, 4.325, p = 0.021) were significantly associated with higher levels of anxiety. The main stressors include financial constraints, remote online teaching and uncertainty about the future with regard to academics and career. Stressors are predominantly financial constraints, remote online learning, and uncertainty related to their academic performance, and future career prospects.</text>

                <text>Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a reduction in surgical and clinical volume, which has altered the traditional training experience of the otolaryngology resident.            Objective To describe the strategies we utilized to maximize resident education as well as ensure patient and staff safety during the pandemic.            Methods We developed a system that emphasized three key elements. First and foremost, patient care remained the core priority. Next, clinical duties were restructured to avoid unnecessary exposure of residents. The third component was ensuring continuation of resident education and maximizing learning experiences.            Results To implement these key elements, our residency divided up our five hospitals into three functional groups based on geographical location and clinical volume. Each team works for three days at their assigned location before being replaced by the next three-person team at our two busiest sites. Resident teams are kept completely separate from each other, so that they do not interact with those working at other sites.            Conclusions Despite the daily challenges encountered as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, our otolaryngology residency program has been able to establish a suitable balance between maintenance of resident safety and well-being without compromise to patient care.</text>

Celem niniejszego rozdziału jest podjęcie dyskusji wokół kapitału społecznego w kontekście jego roli i znaczenia w przezwyciężaniu sytuacji kryzysowych. Ponadto rozważania koncentrują się wokół znaczenia organizacji pozarządowych w budowaniu tego kapitału. Ważnym wątkiem jest również identyfikacja działań organizacji pozarządowych, jakie mogły pomóc w walce z zagrożeniami w pierwszych miesiącach pandemii. Analiza tych działań prowadzi do wniosków, iż w Polsce niedostateczna współpraca między władzami publicznymi a organizacjami pozarządowymi nie przyczynia się do wzrostu poziomu kapitału społecznego. Istnieje zatem potrzeba określenia jego poziomu oraz oceny jakości jego funkcjonowania.ABSTRACTThe COVID-19 pandemic is a global threat to the survival of the human species, which can be described as a violation of the relative balance in the functioning of the societies and economies of all countries of the world. Its negative effects will be felt for many years and may lead to permanent changes in the functioning of economy and society. The aim of this chapter is to discuss social capital in the context of its role and importance in overcoming crisis situations. Moreover, the discussion focuses on the importance of non-governmental organizations in building this capital. An important thread is also the identification of activities of non-governmental organizations that could help in fighting the threats in the first months of the pandemic. The analysis of these activities leads to the conclusion that in Poland insufficient cooperation between public authorities and NGOs does not contribute to the growth of social capital. Therefore, there is a need to determine its level and assess the quality of its functioning.</text>
