Os resultados expressaram uma composição florística média de 2.920,7 indivíduos/ha com circunferência à altura do peito (CAP)>10 cm, com maiores frequência de açaí (50,63%), cacau (31,02%) e virola (6,76%). O Sistema está constituído pela exploração florestal madeireira, não-madeireira, pesca e criação de aves e suínos. O custo anual do sistema agroflorestal - SAF é de R$ 1.866,25/UPA e a renda bruta anual oriunda do SAF é de R$ 2.959,08/UPA. Concluiu-se que o sistema é do tipo agrossilvipastoril, em que a atividade de criação de aves e suínos utiliza como fonte de alimentos a mariscagem na várzea. A tecnologia utilizada, em princípio, favorece a conservação e preservação do ecossistema, há todavia a necessidade de qualificação de mão-de-obra familiar. A renda bruta anual do SAF denota viabilidade econômica das UPA no nível do salário mínimo, porém, tais unidades são pluriativas, apresentando rendas múltiplas, cujas rendas não-agrícolas são fundamentais para a permanência das famílias na atividade e no meio rural.The purpose of this paper is to identify and characterize forestry and socio-economic systems of tidal river floodplain utilization in agroforestry production units (UPA). Forest inventory techniques, budget sheets and questionnaires were utilized. The results obtained express an average floristic composition of 2,920.7 plants/ha, with a breast-high circumference (CHC)>10cm, the highest frequency being for açaí (Euterpe oleracea) (50.63%), cocoa (Theobroma cacau) (31.02%) and virola (Virola surinamensis) (6.76%). The system comprises timber and non-timber forest exploitation, fishing, and poultry and swine raising. The annual cost of the agroforestry system (SAF) is R$1,866.25/UPA and annual gross income is R$2,959.08/UPA. It was concluded that the system is an agro-silvi-pastoral one, where poultry and swine raising utilizes floodplain shellfish as feed source; in principle, the technology used is favorable to the ecosystem conservation; however, there is a need for improving the quality of family labor. The SAF annual gross income demonstrates the economic feasibility of the UPAs at a minimum wage level; however, such units are multi-functional and have multiple incomes whose non-agricultural earnings are fundamental to families persevering in this activity and staying in the rural environment. O aumento da salinidade das águas inibiu o crescimento em altura das mudas, área foliar e comprimento radicular, mas, em qualquer circunstância, com menor intensidade nos tratamentos com o biofertilizante. O aumento da condutividade elétrica da água de irrigação elevou a salinidade do solo, independentemente da adição do biofertilizante.The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse from May 1 to July 31, 2008, in Areia county, Paraiba State, PB, Brazil, in order to evaluate the effects of irrigation water salinity on initial growth of the passionfruit seedlings in non-saline substrate with and without bovine biofertilizer. The treatments were distributed in a completely randomized design, with three replications and twelve plants per plots, in a factorial arrangement 5 x 2 x 2, corresponding the former to the levels of salinity in the irrigation water: 0.5; 1.0; 2.0; 3.0 and 4.0 dS m-1, in soils with and without bovine biofertilizer applied at two moments (25 and 65 days after seedling emergence). The growth of the seedlings and the soil electrical conductivity were evaluated at the end of the experiment. The biofertilizer was diluted in a low saline water at a 1:1 ratio and was applied once two days before sowing, corresponding to 10% of the substrates volume. The increase in water salinity inhibited the growth in height of plants, leaf area and root length, but always to a lesser extent in the treatments with bovine biofertilizer. The increase in electrical conductivity of the irrigation water elevated the soil salinity, independently of the addition of biofertilizer. This study assesses the effectiveness of five selected rhizobia strains in symbiosis with cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.), with the objective of replacing N fertilization in the predominant agricultural system used by smallholder farmers. The study was carried out in three adjacent areas with distinct agricultural uses: conventional tillage, itinerant agriculture, and a no-till system. The experimental design was in randomized complete blocks with four replicates and seven treatments: five rhizobia strains (BR3262, BR3267, BR3299, INPA3-11B, and UFLA 3-84) and two controls without inoculation (one without mineral N and another fertilized with 74 kg N ha-1). We measured the dry mass of 100 grains, nodules and shoots, as well as cowpea yields and calculated relative and absolute efficiency indices for dry biomass production of cowpea shoots. Agricultural uses affected the number and dry mass of the nodules and, consequently, the mass of the dry plant matter and bean yield. In terms of yield, there was a major difference between the conventional and the itinerant systems. Yield was around four times as high in the itinerant system (1009.9 kg ha-1 compared to 243.7 kg ha-1). Under conditions of cohesion-prone soils, the system of conventional tillage reduces the possibility of cultivation of a second harvest in the year even with inoculation or N fertilization.En los trópicos húmedos, el mayor obstáculo para la aplicación de sistemas de agricultura sostenible es la reducción de la eficiencia del uso de nutrientes por los cultivos. Este estudio evalúa la eficacia de cinco cepas de rizobios seleccionados en simbiosis con frijol (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.), con el objetivo de sustituir la fertilización nitrogenada en el sistema de uso de suelo predominante utilizado por los pequeños agricultores. El estudio se llevó a cabo en tres zonas adyacentes de distintos usos agrícolas: labranza convencional, agricultura itinerante, y un sistema de no laboreo. El diseño experimental fue en bloques al azar con cuatro repeticiones y siete tratamientos: cinco cepas de rizobios (BR3262, BR3267, BR3299, INPA3-11B y UFLA 3-84) y dos controles sin inocular (uno sin N mineral y otro fertilizado con 74 kg de N ha-1). Se midió el peso en seco de 100 granos, de los nódulos y de los brotes, así como los rendimientos de frijol y se calcularon los índices de eficiencia relativa y absoluta para la producción de biomasa seca de los brotes de frijol. El sistema de uso del suelo afecta el número y peso en seco de los nódulos y, en consecuencia, la masa de la materia vegetal seca y el rendimiento del frijol. En términos de rendimiento, hubo una gran diferencia entre el convencional y los sistemas itinerantes. En la primera se caracterizó el sistema alimentario convencional y sus consecuencias, mostrándose la necesidad de un cambio que procure la integración de las dimensiones social, ambiental y de salud. A área em estudo está localizada na região semi-árida brasileira, no Estado se Pernambuco. A investigação foi procedida na barragem subterrânea Cafundó II, onde é praticada a agricultura familiar de pequeno porte. A investigação preliminar da vulnerabilidade à contaminação foi efetuada a partir da aplicação do índice de vulnerabilidade GOD. Complementarmente, amostras da água subterrânea de um poço utilizado para irrigação e piezômetro foram coletadas para determinação da concentração iônica, visando avaliar contaminação. Observa-se que a área adjacente à barragem subterrânea de Cafundó II apresenta alta vulnerabilidade à contaminação. A água subterrânea está dentro dos padrões vigentes para a água de consumo humano e cultivo de vegetais de consumo sem cozimento, mas a salinidade supera o limite de tolerância das principais culturas praticadas na área apresentando risco perda de produtividade destas. Os resultados refletem a influência da formação geológica e da prática da irrigação, associada ao uso de agroquímicos. Por lo anteriormente descrito, se presenta la necesidad de realizar una investigación cuantitativa con la finalidad de evaluar un bioestimulante de Urtica dioica L. para estimular la producción de esta hortaliza de hoja.  Los bioestimulantes son sustancias de origen vegetal que tienen la finalidad de activar diferentes procesos fisiológicos, como el incremento de la fotosíntesis y la producción de diferentes hormonas que actúan sobre la elongación de las células de la planta (Montano et ál. 2008). Para la presente investigación se extrajo por destilación de barrido de alcohol el bioestimulante de ortiga. Lo anterior con la finalidad de obtener los principios activos de esta urticaceae. De manera simultánea, se implementó en campo un sistema productivo de lechuga con 2 tratamientos: To = Testigo absoluto y T1 = Bioestimulante, junto con 3 repeticiones en un diseño de bloques.  Las variables evaluadas fueron: peso fresco a la cosecha, peso seco y porcentaje de materia seca. Con los datos arrojados se calculó: media, moda, mediana y desviación estándar, además se realizó un análisis por cuartiles y rango intercuartílico con la finalidad de observar la normalidad de los datos. Como resultado, se obtuvo una media superior de un 14 % en peso seco y fresco con el bioestimulante, pero no se presenta diferencia estadísticamente significativa frente al porcentaje de materia seca. Consideramos al tracto gastrointestinal como una pieza clave en el desarrollo del Fallo o Disfunción Multiorgánica (DMO) como consecuencia de una pérdida de su función de barrera (alteración de la permeabilidad) secundaria a hipoxia frente a toxinas, bioproductos y ocasionalmente bacterias intraluminales, siendo uno de los principales mecanismos fisiopatogénicos el insuficiente flujo de sangre a los órganos esplácnicos. La disfunción hepática y/o alteración en los test de función hepática es un evento común entre los pacientes críticos. Borja-Vega Description An account of the resource Bolivia es uno de los países con mayor disponibilidad de agua en el mundo; sin embargo, posee un déficit anual de agua que afecta al 13% de la población urbana y al 38% de la población rural; además, es el país con menores capacidades de almacenamiento en embalses de agua de la región. Por lo que la presente investigación analiza los efectos del cambio climático en el sector agua y sus impactos en la vulnerabilidad de las áreas urbanas del país. Para el efecto, se utilizó el índice de vulnerabilidad al cambio climático (IVCC), que aplica el método de descomposición de Shapley que identifica los pesos ponderados de los componentes del IVCC. Entre los hallazgos se destaca que el principal cambio por el que atravesará Bolivia será el aumento a la exposición de las sequias, por lo que es de vital importancia diversificar las fuentes de agua; además, dado el aumento poblacional en las ciudades capitales se debe mejorar la distribución de agua potable y el sistema de alcantarillado. En relación a las ciudades pequeñas se deben generar mecanismos de riego y saneamiento para solventar los cambios climáticos futuros. Finalmente, se debe generar una cultura de manejo del agua -re uso de aguas residuales, uso moderado del agua potable, entre otros-. Es de vital importancia priorizar estas políticas públicas dado que el acceso al agua potable y saneamiento es un derecho humano el cual se debe garantizar para el desarrollo social y económico de Bolivia. This work aims at presenting cases of applying geospatial technologies to promote and develop agritourism in the context of small farming in two different scales: in the municipality of Cachoeiras de Macacu, RJ, and one farm in Socorro, SP. The geospatial technologies were applied for agritourism data survey and integration considering the demand for its planning. The main results are assessments and maps indicating the potential of the study areas to develop agritourism in small farms. These results supported the development of an agritourism plan for Cachoeiras de Macacu and an agritourism zoning for the farm. Entre estes à observação participativa que nos permitiu vivenciar todas as atividades realizadas pela escola. Valemo-nos de entrevista, com questões abertas para que os colaboradores da pesquisa se sentissem livres para se manifestar com suas próprias palavras. Foram entrevistadas sete pessoas, dentre essas a coordenadora da CFR e responsável técnico da instituição, duas professoras, quatro pais de alunos ou ex-alunos e um representante da Emater local. Traçamos um breve histórico da região, analisamos aspectos da implantação das CFRs no Estado. Foram abordados também conceitos teóricos sobre Pedagogia da Alternância, as praticas pedagógicas utilizadas pela escola e seus reflexos no contexto de formação para o desenvolvimento local.
