El objetivo fue analizar la relación entre IA y estado nutricional en madres de niños concurrentes a Centros de Atención Primaria de Salud de cuatro provincias del Noroeste de Argentina. MÉTODOS: Se aplicó un cuestionario con el indicador de insuficiencia alimentaria de la USDA y NHANES III a 995 madres. El estado nutricional se evaluó mediante el índice de masa corporal (IMC) y la circunferencia de cintura. RESULTADOS: La prevalencia de obesidad (IMC >30 kg/m2 ) fue mayor entre las participantes con IA severa (37,1%) y moderada (28,7%) que en aquellas con IA leve (20,3%) o con seguridad alimentaria (SA) (22,4%) (p 0,003). En modelos de regresión logística multivariada la IA severa incrementaba la probabilidad de IMC ≥30 kg/m2 (OR 1,8) y de circunferencia de cintura >80 cm (OR 1,8). Tener bajos niveles de ingresos y de educación, estar casada o en pareja y consumir asiduamente comidas fritas también constituían factores de riesgo significativos. DISCUSIÓN: Las políticas alimentarias deben combinarse con políticas de empleo y de distribución de ingresos, de producción y acceso a alimentos saludables, junto a legislación sobre la composición y publicidad de alimentos y bebidas, y a la diseminación de información y de buenas prácticas alimentarias. Según la EPSA y la ELCSA, no pagar los servicios públicos 1,75 (IC95% 1,23-2,28) y que el jefe del hogar declare que no accede a los alimentos 1,48 (IC95% 1,20-1,68), aumentan la inseguridad. Obtener ingresos esporádicamente se asoció con el método a), 1,34 (IC95% 1,04-1,53) y el método b), 1,32 (IC95% 1,03-1,52). Pagar arriendo 1,12 (IC95% 1,01-1,16), el tiempo de permanencia en el municipio 0,59 (IC95%0,23-0,93) y no contar con alcantarillado 1,13 (IC95% 1,01-1,16), se asociaron a la inseguridad por el método c). Foram feitas três aplicações em ambos os experimentos com o auxílio de um atomizador costal motorizado, sendo as avaliações realizadas semanalmente. O extrato pirolenhoso do Pironat® repele satisfatoriamente adultos de Anastrepha spp., enquanto que a azadiractina presente no Natuneem® promove efeito inseticida sobre as larvas nas condições de campo, sendo estes produtos mais eficazes para o controle da praga a partir da segunda aplicação. Embora estes produtos vegetais não cheguem a causar 100% de controle, eles podem ser utilizados em programas de Manejo Agroecológico de Anastrepha spp. em pomares de goiaba, pois além de baratos, são de fácil aplicação e não provocam impacto ambiental em termos de risco de resíduos tóxicos nos frutos. The basis of suspicion was clinico-eco-epidemiologic-radiological findings as, by that time, about 20 COVID19 cases were reported from the state of Rajasthan including a big Italian group of tourists who travelled extensively in Rajasthan, including Udaipur city. Objectives: The current study presents the field experience of the Central and the State Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) in the cluster containment at Bhilwara. Methods: The information regarding the sociodemographic profile of the cases was provided by the Senior Medical Officer In-charge. The containment strategy was modeled under 6 pillars. Google Maps was used for preparing spot map. Results: Immediate public health actions of cluster containment including contact tracing, quarantine, and isolation were initiated using epidemiological approach of mapping the cluster and taking care of reservoir of infection by the District Public Health Team supported by Multidisciplinary Rapid Response Team. This was supplemented by strict enforcement of lock down in the District taking care of daily need of the community by the leadership of administration with very strong intersectoral co-ordination (locally called “ruthless containment”). Conclusion: The forthcoming challenge resides in re-establishment of inter-district and inter-state travel, which can become a risk of re-entry of the new cases, which needs to be taken care of, with the help of stringent administrative measures and screening at all points of entry. The team in Bhilwara needs to remain vigilant to pick up any imported cases early before local transmission establishes. Although the fatality rate of SARS-CoV-2 is currently lower than SARS-CoV, the virus seems to be highly contagious based on the number of infected cases to date. In this review, we discuss structure, genome organization, entry of CoVs into target cells, and provide insights into past and present outbreaks. The future of human CoV outbreaks will not only depend on how the viruses will evolve, but will also depend on how we develop efficient prevention and treatment strategies to deal with this continuous threat. In this work, MIL-53(Fe) was successfully synthesized by a solvothermal method and fully characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), N2 adsorption–desorption isotherm, Thermogravimetric analysis coupled with mass spectrometry (TGA-MS), UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), elemental analysis and wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF). The effects of pH, temperature, solar radiation and the presence of oxidants (i.e., electron acceptors) such as ozone, persulfate and hydrogen peroxide on the stability of MIL-53(Fe) in water were investigated. The as-synthetized MIL-53(Fe) exhibited relatively good stability in water at pH 4 but suffered fast hydrolysis at alkaline conditions. At pH 4–5, temperature, radiation (solar and visible radiation) and oxidants exerted negative effect on the stability of the metal–organic framework (MOF) in water, resulting in non-negligible amounts of metal (iron) and linker (terephthalic acid, H2BDC) leached out from MIL-53(Fe). The photocatalytic activity of MIL-53(Fe) under simulated solar radiation was studied using phenol and metoprolol as target pollutants. MIL-53(Fe) on its own removed less than 10% of the pollutants after 3 h of irradiation, while in the presence of ozone, persulfate or hydrogen peroxide, complete elimination of pollutants was achieved within 2 h of exposure to radiation. However, the presence of oxidants and the formation of some reaction intermediates (e.g., short-chain carboxylic acids) accelerated MIL-53(Fe) decarboxylation. The findings of this work suggest that MIL-53(Fe) should not be recommended as a heterogeneous photocatalyst for water treatment before carrying out a careful evaluation of its stability under actual reaction conditions.
