<text>RAPD markers (Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA) were used for analysing 145 individuals (128 T. grandiflorum and 17 T. bicolor) from the ex situ Theobroma genus germplasm bank at Instituto Sinchi, located at San José del Guaviare. 5 primers able to generated polymorphism were selected from an initial set of 20, generating 114 bands that enable to us to distinguish between more than 99% of individuals analysed: 57 bands for T. grandiflorum (84.2% polymorphic), 45 bands for T. bicolor (26.7% polymorphic) and 12 bands shared between the two species (58.3% polymorphic). A high degree of intra-specific similarity particularly in T. bicolor was established from the similarity matrix obtained by using the Dice index and represented in a UPGMA dendrogram and the principal components analysis (PCA). The comparison of this analysis with a previous morpho-agronomic evaluation of some T. grandiflorum individuals revealed that the groups generated on the basis of its agronomic and morphological traits were heterogeneous at molecular level. The obtained information will be used as a tool in strategies regarding maintenance, enrichment and use of the germplasm bank.Key words: Theobroma grandiflorum, Theobroma bicolour, RAPD, molecular characterisation.</text>

The objective of this work was to evaluate the production of organic amendment from home residues by integration of composting and vermicomposting processes with and without bovine manure. Two experimental steps were adopted: in the first one, thermal stabilization of the residues and adequate conditions were set up for earthworm introduction; in the second step, at 27 days of thermal stabilization, residues remained from the first step were placed in a 9-dm³ container, with and without earthworms, in a completed randomized experimental design of four replicates. Evaluations were made at 19, 55, 69-day period for reproduction and survival rate of adult worms, and chemical attributes of the compost with and without earthworms. Earthworms survived and reproduced in the substrates, and manure gave the highest reproduction rate. The utilization of organic home residues for production of amendment is technically viable by means of composting or vermicomposting. Addition of doses of manure did not decreased the time for compost maturation. Except for the alteration in the levels of K and Mg, the integration of composting and vermicomposting processes yielded products with similar chemical composition.</text>

Abstract: The importance of Urban Planning’s role to safeguard green areas and to build up green chains has gradually increased. The latter played not only an ecological function into the city’s environment requalification, but it becomes also an occasion to find social space. The present research thesis investigated the concept of the green chain, the declination and implementation modes that this topic had in the local planning instrument and, more specifically, in which way the urban planning is working to defining and managing the reticular continuity. Proceeding from the terminology analysis of network and system concepts, the research intended to identify and to characterize the current use of these terms into the planning legislation, both into the national and regional levels, and moreover to study the implementation that the network concept get into the planning instrument. Two European situations were explored, Italian and Spanish: a comparative and descriptive methodology was used to analyze the different interpretations and use of the green chainsterms into the national and local scale (Ferraraand Santiago de Compostela towns). The different use of urban planning terms in the theoretical and practical evolution of green chain concept was described from model to paradigm and still to process. The investigation aimed to understanding the different paths on which the planning practices are moving to create and manage network systems of green and urban spaces.</text>
