Para rotaciones de cuatro cultivos en tres años se desconoce el efecto de alternativas de fertilización fosfatada. Los objetivos fueron: 1) evaluar el rendimiento de cultivos fertilizados con P anualmente y cada tres años, a la rotación de cultivos, y 2) determinar la eficiencia de uso y de recuperación del P (EUP y ERP, respectivamente) aplicado para dichas estrategias de fertilización. El experimento se realizó sobre un complejo de Paleudol Petrocálcico y Argiudol Típico en la EEA I.N.T.A. Balcarce, con un alto nivel inicial de P-Bray (28,7 mg kg-1) y bajo siembra directa. A lo largo de dos ciclos de rotación, integrados por maíz, soja y trigo/soja de segunda, se evaluaron tres tratamientos: aplicación de P con frecuencia anual, por única vez a la rotación y un testigo sin P, en bloques completos aleatorizados con cuatro repeticiones. No se observaron diferencias en el rendimiento de los cultivos fertilizados en forma anual y a la rotación, durante los dos ciclos. El testigo difirió de los tratamientos fertilizados solo durante el segundo ciclo de rotación. La EUP de la rotación (EUProt) no difirió entre estrategias de aplicación (19,4 y 32,4 kg kg-1 durante el primer ciclo y 32,9 y 37,4 kg kg-1 durante el segundo, para tratamientos fertilizados anualmente y a la rotación, respectivamente). Tampoco existieron diferencias entre estrategias de fertilización en la EUP de cada cultivo. En cambio, durante el primer ciclo, la ERP resultó mayor para el tratamiento fertilizado a la rotación respecto de la aplicación anual (0,13 y 0,03 kg kg-1), mientras que en el segundo ciclo no se detectaron diferencias entre ambos (0,16 y 0,17 kg kg-1 para la aplicación anual y a la rotación, respectivamente). Se encontró una débil asociación entre la variación anual en el nivel de P-Bray y el balance de P correspondiente al cultivo implantado dicho año. Para el tratamiento testigo, se elaboró un modelo para predecir la disminución en el P disponible considerando el nivel inicial de P-Bray y la exportación de P de los cultivos como variables.In the soils of southeast Buenos Aires, fertilizer phosphorus (P) forms medium to high solubility products, making it possible to define different fertilization strategies based on application frequency. The effect of P application rates capable of fulfilling all crop requirements in intensive rotations in the region is unknown. The objectives of this work were to: (1) assess yields in crops fertilized with P annually and once during the crop rotation and (2) determine P use efficiency and P recovery for each fertilization strategy. The experiment was conducted at the E.E.A. I.N.T.A. Balcarce on a Typic Argiudoll and Petrocalcic Paleudoll complex, under no-tillage and with high P-Bray (Bray & Kurts, 1945) content (28.7 mg kg-1). During the two rotation cycles for maize, soybean, and double wheat/soybean crop, three treatments were assessed: application of P annually, application once during the rotation cycle, and a control without P application. The experimental design was in randomized blocks with four repetitions. No crop yield differences were found between annual and rotation fertilization strategies across the two cycles evaluated. The control crop yield did not differ from the fertilized crop during the first rotation cycle but did during the second. The crop rotation P use efficiency (EUProt) did not differ between nutrient applications strategies (19.4 and 32.4 kg kg-1 during the first cycle and 32.9 and 37.4 kg kg-1 during the second for annually and rotation fertilized treatments respectively). There were no differences between strategies in the crop P use efficiency of each crop (EUPcult). Description An account of the resource Se realizaron 33 muestreos de murciélagos en diferentes localidades de la zonaurbana y rural del departamento de Sucre, entre los años 2004 y 2005. Se utilizaronredes de niebla, tanto para campo abierto como para refugios, entre las 1800 hs ylas 0600 hs del día siguiente. Se registraron 22 especies, de las cuales seis resultannuevos registros para Sucre: Artibeus obscurus, Sturnira erythromus, Phyllostomuselongatus, Lonchophylla mordax, Peropterix macrotis y Rhogeesa tumida. La familiamás numerosa fue Phyllostomidae. La mayor abundancia relativa (frecuencia decaptura) en la zona urbana la presentaron Molossus molossus (78.3%), Artibeusobscurus (65.2%) y Loncophylla thomasi (56.5%). En la zona rural la más abundanteresultó Desmodus rotundus (100% de los muestreos), seguida por Noctilio albiventrisy Sacopterix bilineata (30%). Ambas comunidades de murciélagos (urbana y rural)son similares en un 48%, ya que sólo siete de las especies resultaron comunes a lasdos. Los refugios más frecuentados en la zona rural son los árboles, sobre todo elCaracolí (Anacardium excelsum) y la mayor riqueza de especies se encontró en losrefugios más grandes. Uno de los factores limitantes de la producción de yuca es la bacteriosis vascular causada por la bacteria Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. manihotis (Xam). Recientemente se identificó el gen RXam1 el cual confiere resistencia parcial de yuca a cepas de Xam. RXam1 codifica una proteína con un dominio LRR (Leucine Rich Repeats) extracelular y un dominio STK (Serina Treonina Kinasa) citoplasmático; estas proteínas son conocidas como RLKs (Receptor Like Kinases). En este estudio se realizó el tamizaje de una librería de ADNc de yuca mediante doble híbrido de levadura para identificar las posibles proteínas que interactúan con el dominio STK de RXam1. El tamizaje de 3x108 clones permitió identificar y confirmar cinco clones de ellos los cuales corresponden al mismo gen, el cual codifica para una proteína que presenta un dominio central de dedos de zinc CHY, seguido por un dominio C-terminal “RING finger” y un “Zinc ribbon” el cual fue denominado CRFE3-1 (Cassava RING Finger E3 ligase). La interacción entre STK y CRFE3-1 fue altamente especifica ya que se demostró también por doble híbrido que STK no interactúa con una E3 ligasa de Arabidopsis, altamente similar a CRFE3-1, así como tampoco CRFE3-1 interactúa con el dominio STK de un RLK de lechuga similar a RXam1. La identificación de CRFE3-1 sugiere que mecanismos de degradación proteica son importantes para regular la actividad de RXam1. Para determinar el efecto de los cambios en el precio de los insumos y de los principales factores que explican la oferta de maíz grano en Guanajuato, en este trabajo se estimó un modelo econométrico compuesto por dos ecuaciones de oferta, tres de transmisión de los precios y una identidad para el periodo de 1980 a 2009. Los resultados indican que la oferta de maíz grano en el estado responde inelásticamente ante cambios en el precio medio rural del maíz producido bajo riego y de manera elástica si los cambios se suscitan en el mismo nivel de precio pero de la oferta en temporal, con elasticidades precio-propias de 0.8531 y 1.0604; los cambios en el precio de los insumos que más afectan la oferta estatal son el precio del plaguicida y de la mano de obra, con elasticidades precio-cruzada de -0.6154 y -0.5470; los cambios en el bien competitivo que más le impactan son los registrados en el frijol, con elasticidades precio-cruzada de -0.5489 si es producido bajo riego y de -1.0292 si es producido en temporal. El efecto de transmisión de los precios, indica que el precio al productor de maíz en riego y temporal estatal es influenciado directamente por el precio al mayoreo a razón de 0.79 y 0.80% por cada 1% de cambio en este último, mientras que el costo de transporte y el precio internacional del maíz inciden sobre el precio al mayoreo en el estado a niveles de 0.21 y 0.13% por cada cambio porcentual unitario en éstos. El financiamiento fue obtenido del Fondo para el Desarrollo de Capacidades del PRORURAL (FADECAPRO). Se involucraron un total de 136 egresados y graduados de las carreras de Agronomía, Veterinaria, Zootecnia, Ingeniería Agrícola, Economía, comunicación, Ingeniería en Sistemas y Antropología de la Universidad Nacional Agraria (UNA), Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua Managua (UNAN Managua), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua de León (UNAN León), Universidad Católica del Trópico Seco (UCATSE), Escuela internacional de Agricultura y Ganadería de Rivas (EIAG), Universidad Centroamerciana (UCA), Bluefield Indian and Caribbean Universitiy (BICU) y la Universidad de las Regiones Autónomas de la Costa Caribe Nicaragüense (URACCAN). El curso de inducción, el curso de promotoría rural y demás capacitaciones fueron impartidas en el CNIAB – INTA Managua, Campos Azules INTA Masatepe, INTA Juigalpa, Centro del Valle de Sébaco -CEVAS INTA Matagalpa y en el Centro Experimental de Occidente -CEO León. Los objetivos del PCU fueron los de capacitar a recién egresados y graduados de las Universidades, fortalecer la red de promotores rurales, aumentar la cobertura de asistencia técnica del INTA y mejorar la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional de las familias campesinas. Se logró organizar a un total de 588 promotores y beneficiar a través del proceso de capacitación y transferencia tecnológica a un total de 10 571 productores de los cuáles 42% fueron mujeres. Se logró incrementar en un 12% el número de beneficiarios o cobertura del INTA con los servicios de asistencia técnica pública. La vitalidad de estos jóvenes, protagonizó una faena técnica y humana y cuyas repercusiones dejaron una profunda huella en las comunidades y cooperativas que ellos atendieron y una huella en sus propias vidas, lo cual se resalta en un incremento de la autoestima y la buena voluntad de un relevo generacional responsable y comprometido con el desarrollo de Nicaragua.
