Methods Gas exchanges, C RS and hemodynamics were assessed at 2 levels of PEEP (15 cmH2O and 5 cmH2O) within 36 h (day1) and from 4 to 6 days (day 5) after intubation. The recruited volume was computed as the difference between the volume expired from PEEP 15 to 5 cmH2O and the volume predicted by compliance at PEEP 5 cmH2O (or above airway opening pressure). The recruitment-to-inflation (R/I) ratio (i.e. the ratio between the recruited lung compliance and C RS at PEEP 5 cmH2O) was used to assess lung recruitability. A R/I ratio value higher than or equal to 0.5 was used to define highly recruitable patients. Results The R/I ratio was calculated in 25 of the 26 enrolled patients at day 1 and in 15 patients at day 5. At day 1, 16 (64%) were considered as highly recruitable (R/I ratio median [interquartile range] 0.7 [0.55–0.94]) and 9 (36%) were considered as poorly recruitable (R/I ratio 0.41 [0.31–0.48]). O trabalho foi realizado na Fazenda Vista Alegre, localizada em Jaboticatubas, MG. Um sistema de irrigação por gotejamento foi adaptado para realização dos testes com oito tratamentos, sendo sete com aplicação de produtos químicos e um com impacto mecânico. Para os tratamentos químicos, utilizaram-se: o ácido fosfórico com pH 2 e pH 3; o hipoclorito de sódio com as dosagens de 100, 50 e 25 mg L-1 de cloro; e Reciclean com as dosagens de 50 e 25 mg L-1. Diante dos resultados obtidos, conclui-se: o tratamento com ácido fosfórico em pH 2 forneceu o melhor resultado quanto ao aumento da uniformidade de aplicação de água pelo sistema, apresentando o maior aumento nos valores de coeficiente de uniformidade de distribuição (CUD) e coeficiente de uniformidade de Christiansen (CUC); entretanto, com custo elevado. O tratamento com 25 mg L-1 de cloro apresentou a melhor relação benefício/custo, sendo o mais econômico e o segundo melhor quanto à melhoria da uniformidade de irrigação do sistema. O impacto mecânico é uma alternativa para recuperação de sistemas de irrigação por gotejamento em geral, com destaque para sistemas de cultivos orgânicos.A study was carried out (Reciclean) to evaluate the efficiency of using the phosphoric acid, sodium hypochlorite, a commercial product and mechanical impact for cleaning the drippers in which the clogging was due to the presence of high iron content in water. The experiment was set up in the Vista Alegre Farm, located in Jaboticatubas County - Minas Gerais State. A drip irrigation system was adopted for the accomplishment of the tests. Eight treatments were tested, of which, seven with application of chemical products and one with mechanical impact. In accomplishing the chemical treatments, the phosphoric acid was used at pH 2 and 3, sodium hypochlorite at 100, 50 and 25 mg L-1 chlorine and Reciclean at 50 and 25 mg L-1. According to the results, the following conclusions were drawn: the treatment using the phosphoric acid at pH 2 provided the best results, when evaluating the improvement of uniformity in the irrigation system, since it showed the highest increase in the values of uniformity coefficients (CUD and CUC); however, it is an expensive treatment. The treatment with 25 mg L-1 chlorine presented the best benefit/cost relation, since it showed to be the cheapest besides being the second best in improving the uniformity of the irrigation system. The mechanical impact is a good alternative to recover the drip irrigation systems, principally under organic farming. Son espacios de producción grupal en torno a las propuestas territoriales y locales que contribuyen al desarrollo local así como también a la planificación estratégica por zonas, barrios y/o región.En relación con el medio ambiente, la iniciativa implica algunas contribuciones como mejorar las condiciones sanitarias del área y fortalecer la biodiversidad ya que se pueden producir especies autóctonas de valor local. Por otra parte, se vincula a un manejo sustentable de los recursos naturales, particularmente en lo que respecta a manejo del suelo y del agua. Brinda además la posibilidad de producir alimentos de alto valor ecológico, es decir libres de agrotóxicos. Por último, podríamos mencionar que la propuesta valoriza los servicios ambientales y finalmente ayuda a generar vínculos entre la tierra y las personas que la trabajan, debido a que desarrolla un sentimiento distintivo de territorialidad.El objetivo de la presente comunicación es brindar los fundamentos y bases para la implementación de este tipo de espacios de agricultura urbana y periurbana en la ciudad de Bahía Blanca. Os agricultores entrevistados foram aleatoriamente amostrados, representando 42,63% da população total do assentamento. Os resultados indicaram que a grande maioria dos agricultores do assentamento 12 de outubro (81,4%) utilizava recursos florestais em alguma escala, porém eles não o faziam de forma adequada, o que poderá levar à exaustão desses recursos em médio prazo. Tais recursos são mobilizados para a produção de carvão, madeira, venda de tocos de eucalipto, produção de óleo essencial e muito pouco de atividades apicultoras e coleta de sementes para produção de mudas. Os recursos florestais, de modo geral, entre as possibilidades estratégicas, ainda são vistos como secundários e coadjuvantes, ou até antagônicos, para se atingirem os objetivos de permanência no lote.The present work aims to contribute to the characterization of forest resource use in rural settlements, taking as the case of study the settlement Horto Vergel in Mogi-Mirim, São Paulo State. For data collection, partially structured interviews were used, along with direct observation in the field. The farmers interviewed were randomly sampled and represented 42,63% from the total population of the settlement. The results obtained indicated that most farmers interviewed in the Settlement '12 de Outubro' (81,4%) use forestry resources on some scale, but not in a proper way, which can lead to the depletion of these resources in a medium term. Such resources are used for coal and wood production, as well the selling of eucalyptus stumps, essential oil production from leaves, incipient beekeeping activities and seed collection for tree seedling production. In general, forest resources are seen as secondary and supporting, or even antagonist elements for abidance in the land.
