                <text>Introducción. El sector de las frutas y hortalizas en Ecuador ha mostrado un desempeño prometedor en mercados de tipo doméstico e internacional. Este sector ha enfrentado problemas de carácter social, económico y productivo en su estructura y articulaciones, que hasta el momento requieren de intervención. Objetivo. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar de manera descriptiva la estructura de la red agroalimentaria del tomate de árbol. Materiales y métodos. El estudio se realizó en las provincias de Cotopaxi, Tungurahua y Chimborazo, Ecuador, durante el periodo comprendido entre el segundo cuatrimestre de 2016 al último del 2017. En el estudio se aplicó una metodología sistémica encaminada a la identificación y caracterización de etapas, agentes y actividades (primarias y de soporte); y el análisis de los mecanismos de gobernanza de la red. Resultados. El presente estudio mostró las principales características sociales y productivas, un dimensionamiento horizontal y vertical; y la propuesta de estrategias enfocadas en la mejora de su desempeño productivo. Conclusiones. La inclusión de mujeres, el sentido de asociatividad de procesadores y distribuidoras, y la formación de productores en poscosecha, y buenas prácticas agrícolas, mejorarían significativamente el desempeño económico de la red, y además incentivarían una mayor participación de los agentes involucrados. La red requiere aumentar el área asignada al cultivo de tomate de árbol, y la aplicación de sistemas de producción bajo invernadero que incrementen los rendimientos.</text>

                <text>Actualmente el suministro suficiente de agua potable para consumo humano se encuentra en riesgo severo debido al cambio climático, y existe una crisis de (in)seguridad hídrica. Sorprende el crecimiento exponencial en el consumo del agua embotellada en México, uno de los países con mayor inseguridad hídrica en el mundo. En este artículo presento un análisis del proceso de privatización del suministro del agua en México enfocándome en el negocio de la extracción, el embotella-miento y la distribución de agua embotellada. Utilizando el modelo del régimen de políticas públicas como marco analítico, en el artículo demuestro que el creciente consumo de agua embotellada en México es resultado de la convergencia de ideas específicas con respecto de la salubridad del agua del grifo, un marco institucional débil que cede terreno ante la enorme presión de las empresas multinacio-nales proveedoras de agua embotellada, y la enorme fuerza tanto mercadotécnica como política con que cuentan las corporaciones embotelladoras del vital líquido.</text>

Precisamente, el objetivo de este artículo es presentar dos casos de explotaciones familiares en contextos muy diferentes: una ubicada en el Dpto. Banda de la provincia de Santiago del Estero y la otra en el Partido de Saladillo, provincia de Buenos Aires, donde la diversidad y regularidad de las estrategias adoptadas les han permitido persistir y desarrollar estrategias alternativas al modelo vigente.  El despliegue del potencial productivo, ecológico y social de la agricultura familiar requiere de la construcción de espacios protegidos. Así, los espacios protegidos se presentan como un argumento sobre la potencialidad de la agricultura familiar y su capacidad de generar un desarrollo rural alternativo, en el que la pequeña producción tenga un rol activo en la construcción de este nuevo diseño. No obstante, en la actualidad, los espacios protegidos no son más que una hipótesis y una declaración de las posibilidades sobre la forma en la que el mundo agrario podría estructurarse con base en la pequeña producción. La sistematización de los casos comienza a mostrar caminos y pautas posibles de aprendizajes para esa construcción</text>

                <text>Debido a la rapidez de propagación del Covid-19 en el mundo, muchos países  han  coincidido en el aislamiento social obligatorio como una estrategia para desacelerar el contagio. Por ello en Colombia se decretó el cierre de todo tipo de espacios en donde se congreguen las personas para evitar contagios masivos, ordenando el confinamiento obligatorio en los hogares. Esta investigación busca caracterizar los efectos derivados del aislamiento obligatorio en docentes y estudiantes del programa de Terapia Ocupacional de la Universidad de Santander – Cúcuta. Se adopta como enfoque metodológico el cuantitativo descriptivo transversal. Se diseña un instrumento propio fundamentado en unos ya conocidos, que fue validado por juicio de expertos y administrado a los informantes en su versión on-line. Los resultados evidencian que los docentes han sido más receptivos al cambio de rutinas y hábitos diarios, mientras que en  los estudiantes se observa mayor resistencia.  Respecto a la distribución de los informantes en los diversos niveles de depresión, se pudo determinar que en los estudiantes se evidencia mayor afectación, aunque hay aspectos que son comunes en  ambas  poblaciones,  como  lo son la pérdida de sueño, el aumento del apetito, de sentimientos de tristeza, cansancio y concentración.   </text>

Por ello, el objetivo es mostrar el estado de la temática y puntualizar hacia donde deben estar dirigidos los cambios en las estrategias de Educación Ambiental. Como conclusiones se comparte la necesidad de contextualizar las estrategias de Educación Ambiental con un enfoque integrador de las acciones priorizando la participación de todos los actores socio ambientales, para lograr una conciencia ambiental y efectos positivos en la mitigación del cambio climático.</text>

                <text>Health professionals are among the most vulnerable to work stress and emotional exhaustion problems. These health professionals include tutors and resident intern specialists, due to the growing demand for the former and the high work overload of the latter. Mindfulness training programs can support these professionals during times of crisis, such as the current global pandemic caused by the coronavirus-19 disease. The objective of this study was to compare the effectiveness of an abbreviated Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) training program in relation to a standard training program on the levels of mindfulness, self-compassion, and self-perceived empathy in tutors and resident intern specialists of Family and Community Medicine and Nursing. A total of 112 professionals attached to six Spanish National Health System teaching units (TUs) participated in this randomized and controlled clinical trial. Experimental Group (GE) participants were included in the standard or abbreviated MBSR programs. The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), the Self-Compassion Scale short form (SCS-SF), and the Jefferson Scale of Physician Empathy (JSPE) were administered three times during the study: before, immediately after, and 3 months after the intervention. Adjusted covariance analysis (ANCOVA), using pretest scores as the covariate, showed a significant increase in mindfulness (F(2,91) = 3.271; p = 0.042; η2 = 0.067) and self-compassion (F(2,91) = 6.046; p = 0.003; η2 = 0.117) in the post-test visit, and in self-compassion (F(2,79) = 3.880; p = 0.025; η2 = 0.089) in the follow-up visit, attributable to the implementation of the standard training program. The standard MBSR and MSC training program improves levels of mindfulness and self-compassion, and promotes long-lasting effects in tutors and resident intern specialists. New studies are needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of abbreviated training programs.</text>

                <text>Nacobbus aberrans ranks among the “top ten” plant-parasitic nematodes of phytosanitary importance. It causes significant losses in commercial interest crops in America and is a potential risk in the European Union. The nematicidal and phytotoxic activities of seven plant extracts against N. aberrans and Solanum lycopersicum were evaluated in vitro, respectively. The chemical nature of three nematicidal extracts (EC50,48h ≤ 113 µg mL−1) was studied through NMR analysis. Plant extracts showed nematicidal activity on second-stage juveniles (J2): (≥87%) at 1000 µg mL−1 after 72 h, and their EC50 values were 71.4–468.1 and 31.5–299.8 µg mL−1 after 24 and 48 h, respectively. Extracts with the best nematicidal potential (EC50,48h &lt; 113 µg mL−1) were those from Adenophyllum aurantium, Alloispermum integrifolium, and Tournefortia densiflora, which inhibited L. esculentum seed growth by 100% at 20 µg mL−1. Stigmasterol (1), β-sitosterol (2), and α-terthienyl (3) were identified from A. aurantium, while 1, 2, lutein (4), centaurin (5), patuletin-7-β-O-glucoside (6), pendulin (7), and penduletin (8) were identified from A. integrifolium. From T. densiflora extract, allantoin (9), 9-O-angeloyl-retronecine (10), and its N-oxide (11) were identified. The present research is the first to report the effect of T. densiflora, A. integrifolium, and A. aurantium against N. aberrans and chemically characterized nematicidal extracts that may provide alternative sources of botanical nematicides.</text>

                <text>O estudo focalizou as unidades de exploração agrícola (UEA) localizadas no Município de Santana, no Estado do Amapá. Os dados foram obtidos por meio da abordagem participativa e multidisciplinar com os agricultores em 90 propriedades rurais, visando a identificação e a caracterização dos sistemas de uso da terra existentes. Entre os principais problemas identificados nas unidades, a deficiência da assistência técnica foi a mais indicada com 51,1%, seguida do furto de equipamentos agrícolas e da produção com 44,4%, o acesso a água para irrigação com 33,3%. A renda média obtida pelas UEA foi de 1,8 salários mínimos, sendo o máximo de 4 e o mínimo de 0,5 sm. O tamanho médio das unidades com fins comerciais é de 6,61 hectares, sendo que até 50% das unidades possuem área média de três hectares. Os sistemas agroflorestais (SAF) representam 18,43% dos sistemas de uso da terra utilizados no local. Das 31 espécies comercializadas, 64% são de fruteiras perenes, enquanto que cultivos temporários, hortaliças e extrativismo completam os outros percentuais com 16%, 10% e 10%, respectivamente. Os SAF participam com 57,03% da renda obtida pelas unidades comerciais, com média de 1,9 salários mínimos, seguido da lavoura permanente com 34,22% (1,8 sm), extrativismo 4,18% (1,1 sm) e lavoura temporária com 4,56% (0,8 sm).   Palavras-chave: sistema agroflorestal, agricultura familiar, Ilha de Santana.   DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.18561/2179-5746/biotaamazonia.v3n1p100-108</text>
