In the majority of patients the most active virus replication seems to be found in the upper respiratory tract, severe cases however suffer from SARS-like disease associated with virus replication in lung tissues. La realización del control digital dentro del sistema requirió de un procedimiento de adquisición de datos implementado por Arduino con módulos XBee para la comunicación, además de una computadora personal. Resultados: Este tipo de procedimiento para implementar el control se escogió debido a la facilidad de ejecución, los beneficios y los bajos costos del sistema respecto a los existentes en el mercado; otra de las tareas realizadas fue el estudio práctico de las diferentes técnicas de control aplicadas a un sistema real para el monitoreo de nivel de líquidos en depósitos de gran capacidad. Conclusiones: La validación del sistema de medición fue realizada a través de una comparación entre los valores reales obtenidos con los instrumentos de medición y los valores mostrados por el sistema a través de la aplicación web que fue diseñada; el correcto funcionamiento de dicho sistema permitió su posterior instalación en depósitos reales. Removal, incorporation or composting are being tested as alternatives to burning, and the changes they produce in selected soil biological properties have been studied in two field trials. One compares removal, burning and incorporation the straw, and a second evaluates the application of straw-derived compost for rice production. No statistically-significant effects on the measured indicators of biological activity were found in either experiment, indicating that management-induced changes are small. Unexpectedly, burning did not affect negatively enzyme activities or microbial biomass contents since there were no differences between treatments, or usual levels were recovered in a few months. The changes induced by straw removal or incorporation were also not statistically significant. Dozens of monoplex in-house RT-qPCR assays are already available; however, the development of dual-target assays is suited to avoid false-negative results caused by polymorphisms or point mutations, that can compromise the accuracy of diagnostic and screening tests. In this study, two mono-target assays recommended by WHO (E-Sarbeco (enveloppe gene, Charite University, Berlin, Germany) and RdRp-IP4 (RdRp, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France)) were selected and combined in a unique robust test; the resulting duo SARS-CoV-2 RT-qPCR assay was compared to the two parental monoplex tests. The duo SARS-CoV-2 assay performed equally, or better, in terms of sensitivity, specificity, linearity and signal intensity. We demonstrated that combining two single systems into a dual-target assay (with or without an MS2-based internal control) did not impair performances, providing a potent tool adapted for routine molecular diagnosis in clinical microbiology laboratories.
