Los grandes retos que tiene este territorio es el defender su territorio ya que los mismos líderes territoriales y comunales junto con autoridades de gobierno y partidos políticos han vendido las tierras comunales. Para enfrentar este proceso, el territorio de AMASAU cuenta con cuatro sistemas de gobernanza, que va de la mano para el funcionamiento y desarrollo del territorio

e objective of this study was to determine the changes andeffects of climate variables on transient crop yields in the province of Los Ríos, Ecuador. Temperature and precipitation were analyzed based on historicalseries from 1981-2015, current series (2016-2019) and projections (2019-2050). ArcGis 10,3soware was used to measure the climatic variability of these parameters. Vulnerability analysisconsidered production under the effect of weather conditions. Results indicate that the averagemulti-year temperature variation is 25,86 °C and the precipitation is 2 202.83 mm, what favoredthe production of 5 225 kg ha -1 of maize, 3 076.8 kg ha -1 rice and 1 147 kg ha -1 of soybeans.According to climate projections for 2016-2050, an increase of 1.07 ° C in the temperaturevariable and decrease in precipitation (303 mm) which will generate a decrease in crop yields in29; 27 and 24 % for corn, rice and soy respectively.

Los modelos matemáticos para predecir biomasa son en la actualidad una opción que facilita y mejora el cálculo de la capacidad de mitigación del cambio climático de un ecosistema, pues generan información fundamental para establecer índices nacionales de almacenamiento de carbono. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la biomasa de los distintos componentes del árbol (hojas, ramas, fuste, raíz) por medio de método destructivo e indirecto para construir modelos predictivos de biomasa y carbono, generados por medio del método de mínimos cuadrados ordinarios, cuyo diámetro normal fue la variable regresora. Las ecuaciones seleccionadas explicaron más del 94 % de la variabilidad observada en biomasa o carbono, con errores de estimados inferiores al 5 %. El fuste aportó el 57.4 % a la biomasa total del árbol y las hojas el 5 %. La fracción de carbono fue muy similar entre los componentes leñosos (ramas-fuste-raíz), variando de 44.9 % a 45.7 % y en las hojas alcanzó el 40.7 %.

Mollusk diversity in coastal areas of the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) has been studied extensively, but this is not the case for deep-water habitats. We present the first quantitative characterization of mollusks in shallow and deep waters of the Perdido Fold Belt. The data came from two research cruises completed in 2017. Sediment samples were collected from 56 sites using a 0.25-m2 box corer. We tested hypotheses about spatial patterns of α, β, and γ-diversity of bivalves in two water-depth zones, the continental shelf (43–200 m) and bathyal zone (375–3563 m). A total of 301 bivalves belonging to 39 species were identified. The two zones display similar levels of γ-diversity, but host different bivalve assemblages. In general, α-diversity was higher on the continental shelf, whereas β-diversity was higher in the bathyal zone. These patterns can be explained by the higher input of carbon (energy) to the near-coast shelf zone, as well as by the greater topographic complexity of habitats in the bathyal zone. These results enabled us to propose redirection of sampling efforts for environmental characterization from continental zones to the deep-water zone, especially in the context of environmental assessments during oil and gas exploration and production.

A importância fitoterápica e, consequentemente, econômica da Melissa officinalis tem contribuído para expansão do cultivo. O óleo essencial das folhas é formado por constituintes químicos que podem ser largamente empregados na indústria farmacêutica por possuírem atividades antioxidativa, antivirótica e sedativa. Assim sendo, objetivou-se no presente trabalho avaliar o efeito de combinações de doses de adubação orgânica com biofertilizante comercial e esterco bovino no cultivo de Melissa officinalis. Os tratamentos foram constituídos de quatro doses de biofertilizante orgânico (Vitassolo®) e esterco bovino, sendo estes de 0, 30.000, 60.000 e 90.000 L ha-1. Os tratamentos foram arranjados no delineamento experimental blocos casualizados no fatorial 4x4, com 3 repetições. As características avaliadas foram altura de planta, rendimento de folha, teor e rendimento de óleo essencial. As maiores doses de esterco bovino resultaram em um maior desenvolvimento das plantas, em relação às mesmas doses do biofertilizante.The phytotherapic and economic importance of Melissa officinalis has contributed to its cultivation expansion. The essential oil of leaves is composed of chemical constituents, which can be largely employed in the pharmaceutical industry due to their antioxidant, antivirotic and sedative activities. Thus, the aim of the present work was to evaluate the effect of level combination of organic fertilization with commercial biofertilizer and cattle manure on Melissa officinalis cultivation. Treatments constituted of four levels of organic biofertilizer (Vitassolo®) and cattle manure at 0; 30,000; 60,000 and 90,000 L ha-1. Experimental design was in randomized blocks, in split plot 4X4 factorial arrangement, with three replicates. The characteristics evaluated were plant height, leaf yield, essential oil content and yield. The highest cattle manure levels resulted in higher plant development, compared with the same biofertilizer levels.

Se analizará la situación de la agricultura y las comunidades rurales de América Latina (A.L.) frente a los cambios climáticos globales. El modelo de desarrollo adoptado por los países Latinoamericanos, basado en la tecnificación y modernización de la agricultura, aumentó la concentración de la tierra y la renta, aumentó los índices de desempleo, generó una grande masa de población rural vulnerable a las coyunturas políticas, económicas y a las variaciones climáticas. Los cambios climáticos incidirán sobre la agricultura de A.L., en especial, sobre los pobres rurales que sentirán con mayor severidad y rapidez dichos efectos. Es necesaria una visión global-integradora, pero con impactos locales, para analizar la situación particular de cada territorio rural y sus sistemas agrícolas y buscar formas de adaptación a estos cambios. A.L. es una región limitada técnica y económicamente para responder a estos nuevos retos. El “Desarrollo Territorial” basado en la valoración y potencialización de los recursos locales, es una alternativa viable para afrontar esta problemática y promover un desarrollo endógeno en cada territorio. El fortalecimiento del capital social y la potenciación de los recursos locales genera territorios armónicos con las características de su agricultura y de su ambiente y con mayor capacidad de enfrentar los cambios climáticos.
