                <text>Neste trabalho busca-se entender a importância da prática de cooperaçãoentre agricultores familiares em uma região do Rio Grande do Sul a partir das suasrelações socioeconômicas endógenas e exógenas. Da análise das relaçõesendógenas vem a compreensão da lógica econômica da unidade familiar agrícola,produzir o necessário para o auto-sustento com adequado uso da mão-de-obrafamiliar disponível. A partir das relações exógenas dos agricultores familiares secompreende diversos costumes, tradições, culturas e simbolismos presentes nassuas relações sociais, incluindo as relações de reciprocidade, ao mesmo tempo emque se entende como e porque se transformam em agricultores integrados aomercado e aos complexos agro-industriais. Assim, constata-se a integraçãomercantil dos produtores de leite e o confronto com o oligopsônio das indústrias delaticínios, que detêm o poder de definição do preço do produto. Objetivandocontrabalançar este poder, os produtores se organizam em redes decomercialização, aumentando sua capacidade de reivindicação por melhor preço econdições de produção. A compreensão desse processo de organização dosprodutores em grupos informais ou formais envidou esforços desse estudo, a fim decompreender como e por que se formam essas redes de cooperação entre taisprodutores e não entre outros, além de verificar se essa organização oportunizaobter um melhor desempenho socioeconômico. Os resultados levam a duasconclusões: as redes de cooperação formadas entre produtores de leite são geradasa partir de relações de trabalho e das relações sociais de reciprocidade, as quaisdesempenham um papel importante na formação de confiança entre eles; essas redes de cooperação proporcionaram melhores resultados nos indicadores sociais eeconômicos.Abstract  The present work tries to understand the importance of the cooperation practiceamongst familiar rural workers in a region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul from theinternal and external socio-economical relations. From the analysis of internalrelations comes the comprehension of economic logic of the family of rural workers inproducing only the necessary for their self-support with adequate use of availablefamiliar labour. The external relations of the rural workers are comprised of severaltraditions, culture and symbolism which are present on social relations in the familyincluding the reciprocity relations and, at the same time, it is understood how andwhy the latter changes in rural workers integrated to the market and the agroindustrialcomplexes. Thus, this is the merchant integration of milk producers and theconfrontation with the oligopsonies of dairy products, which have the power to dictate the price of products. In order to balance this power, the producers organizethemselves into joint network trades in order to increase their bargain capabilities,better price and product conditions. The comprehension of the process oforganization in formal and informal exerted the efforts of this study, in order tounderstand how and why these cooperation networks amongst such producers andnot amongst others. Besides, it may be verified whether this organization givesopportunities to obtain a better socio-economical performance. The results led to twoconclusions: the cooperation networks formed amongst milk producers are generatedfrom the work and social relations of reciprocity, where the main concepts play animportant role on trust formation amongst them; these cooperation networks havegiven better results on the social and economical indicators.</text>

Este artigo traz à luz destas considerações um estudo de caso sobre a soberania alimentar entre agricultores caboclos de uma comunidade situada na área rural do Vale do Ribeira paranaense. O estudo demonstrou uma relação entre os aspectos organizacionais e econômicos da propriedade rural e a definição de certos modelos de consumo atestados pelas possibilidades produtivas. As modificações no perfil de produção agrícola como a redução do número de hortas, por exemplo, ou pouca variedade produtiva implicaram na diminuição do consumo de legumes e verduras, leite e carnes. Notou-se ainda certa monotonia alimentar em parte influenciada pela pouca diversidade na produção de alimentos, com destaque para as frutas, verduras, raízes e cereais.</text>

                <text>Due to COVID-19, universities have been facing challenges in generating the best possible experience for students with online academic training programs. To analyze professors' expectations about online education and relate them to student academic performance during the COVID-19 pandemic, and considering the socio-demographic, entry, and prior university performance variables of students. A prospective longitudinal design was used to analyze the expectations of 546 professors (54.8% male) in T1. In T2, the impact of the expectations of 382 of these professors (57.6% men) was analyzed, who taught courses during the first semester to a total of 14,838 university students (44.6% men). Professors' expectations and their previous experience of online courses were obtained during T1, and the students' academic information was obtained in T2. A questionnaire examining the Expectations toward Virtual Education in Higher Education for Professors was used. 84.9% of the professors were considered to have moderate to high skills for online courses. Differences in expectations were found according to the professors' training level. The professors' self-efficacy for online education, institutional engagement, and academic planning had the highest scores. The expectations of professors did not directly change the academic performance of students; however, a moderating effect of professor's expectations was identified in the previous student academic performance relationship on their current academic performance.</text>

                <text>Diante das mudanças ocorridas, busca-se uma nova configuração do espaço rural, procurando diversificar os produtos e as atividades agrícolas e não-agrícolas, visto que ambas se configuram capazes de promover a inserção dos produtores rurais nas atividades desenvolvidas. Entretanto surge a necessidade de buscar alternativas para complementação da renda, uma vez que a baixa produtividade e a falta de organização faz a produção insuficiente para manter as famílias no campo. É neste contexto que surgem as atividades pluriativas, com o objetivo de dar suporte financeiro às famílias, no que tange a ser um elemento suplementar a renda familiar, gerando assim a melhoria da qualidade de vida e fixando essas famílias no campo. Neste sentido nota-se a importância de analisar o papel das mulheres frente ao desenvolvimento de atividades pluriativas no campo, pois atualmente percebe-se uma modificação do papel feminino dentro do contexto familiar rural, visto que essas eram percebidas apenas com papel reprodutivo, papel esse que era desempenhado apenas no âmbito doméstico e que se relaciona em síntese aos afazeres domésticos e ao cuidado com os filhos, enquanto que aos homens cabe o papel produtivo por estarem diretamente ligados ao desenvolvimento da agricultura e pecuária, atividades estas que geram renda monetária; mas atualmente esse fato tem sofrido modificações, pois as mulheres rurais estão cada vez mais inseridas no mercado de trabalho por meio do desenvolvimento de atividades pluriativas, sendo assim é gerada renda complementar a família através do trabalho feminino, de forma que a mulher passa a ter além do papel reprodutivo o papel produtivo pelo fato de gerar renda por meio de seu desempenho no desenvolvimento de atividades de cunho não-agrícola.</text>

                <text>El uso de residuos y subproductos industriales como reemplazo parcial o total de materias primas vírgenes para la producción de materiales se ha convertido en una parte vital de la gestión de desechos, lo cual ha dado lugar a tecnologías innovadoras que permiten extender su aplicación al desarrollo de nuevos productos, contribuyendo así a la menor contaminación ambiental y a los conceptos de la economía circular. En los últimos años, la tecnología de vitrificación de residuos se ha considerado un procedimiento atractivo para el tratamiento de diferentes tipos y mezclas de residuos para la obtención de vidrios y vitrocerámicas. El presente artículo hace una revisión de las investigaciones relacionadas con la producción de vitrocerámicas densas realizadas entre 1994 y 2019, específicamente las que han utilizado cenizas, escorias y residuos de vidrio. La revisión revela que se han acumulado considerables conocimientos y experiencia en el proceso de transformación de los desechos base silicatos en productos útiles de vidrio y vitrocerámicas con propiedades similares e incluso superiores a los de materiales convencionales, abriendo nuevos campos de aplicación en ceramicas avanzadas.</text>

Asimismo, es esencial que las entidades gubernamentales  encargadas de evaluar los planes, solicitudes y requisitos asociados a las investigaciones de la biodiversidad  del Perú reconozcan y apoyen el enfoque de la taxonomía integradora. El uso de técnicas modernas dentro  del modelo de la taxonomía integradora, junto a procedimientos administrativos eficientes, puede convertirse  en la mejor herramienta para proteger la biodiversidad peruana.</text>

                <text>The purpose of this article was to elaborate, apply and evaluate organic pesticides in the ornamental garden of the Faculty of Zootechnical Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí. To this end, eight insects that were observed in four measurements were taken as a population sample, as well as the generation of 12 organic pesticides that were applied for the control of insects, as well as the implicit prevention of pests, fungi, which could be present. On average, it is evident that the insecticides that have presented the best evidence of effectiveness are: Garlic, Onion, Fern, Neem, Tobacco. This leads to deduce about the properties they present in relation to the protective action in favoring the eradication of insects in ornamental gardening spaces. The research allows us to confirm that the use of biological insecticides can be concomitant in the eradication of pests and insects.</text>

                <text>Background. Current research advances related to carbon and nitrogen dynamic and the environmental problems, that impact on the socioeconomic functions of agroforestry systems, and the importance of their floristic diversity, have not yet been analyzed in an integrated way for coffee agroforestry systems in Mexico. Objective. It consisted to identify the areas in need of research on carbon and nitrogen dynamic in coffee agroforestry systems in Mexico. Methodology. Publications were compiled until 2018, on the potential of agroforestry systems to keep carbon and nitrogen reserves, which influence in the carbon and nitrogen biogeochemical cycles, and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as socioeconomic importance, productive diversification, and the problems faced by small producers with their ability to adapt to climatic variations. This information was organized and subjected to a cluster analysis with the NVivo12 program, which allowed evaluating the frequency of research for each topic and the relationship between them. Results. 43% of publications are related to carbon storage and 13% on nitrogen dynamic in agroforestry systems, while 37 and 35% evidenced their environmental importance and ability to adapt to climatic variations, respectively. The socioeconomic characteristics show that there is a productive diversity, a floristic composition in multi-strata and traditional management, which affects on carbon and nitrogen dynamic, since the quality of organic matter depends on the diversity of the floristic composition of the system and the type of management applied by the producer. Implications. At present this analysis contributes to detect the advances of investigations on carbon and nitrogen dynamic to generate integrated research according to the Mexican national reality. Conclusions. Researchs should focus on: (1) the productive diversification and carbon and nitrogen dynamic; (2) effect of socioeconomic variations on carbon and nitrogen dynamic; (3) degree of sensitivity of carbon and nitrogen dynamic to climatic variations; (4) identification of adaptive capacities, that allows carbon and nitrogen dynamic to be maintained.</text>

                <text>La teca es una planta exótica introducida en México por el valor de su madera. El objetivo del estudio fue calcular el carbono almacenado en la biomasa vegetal y suelo para luego determinar la composición lignocelulósica de la madera en plantaciones de teca a los seis años en el estado de Nayarit, México. En tres plantaciones se colectó información dendrométrica y biomasa de 75 árboles, también de mantillo y suelo para determinar sus propiedades. Las diferencias fueron significativas (p≤0.0001) al comparar la plantación de mayor y menor crecimiento en DAP (54 %), altura (51.3 %) y área basal (78.7 %) siendo los suelos de mejor pH (6.2); así como el rendimiento en biomasa aérea (59.4 %), carbono en la teca (60.2 %), mantillo (30.3 %) y suelo (41.9 %) por superficie, sin diferencias en los contenidos lignocelulares. Se recomienda estudiar las raíces y nutrientes del suelo pues condicionan la eficiencia de la teca en torno al cambio climático.</text>
