                <text>Zihnimizdeki düşünceleri somut ve nesnel olarak ortaya çıkararak kendimizi ifade etmemizi, toplumda yer alan diğer insanlarla iletişim kurabilmemizi ve milli kültürümüzün oluşmasını sağlayan ana dilimiz Türkçenin öğretimi ve doğru kullanımı son derece önemlidir. Bu öneminden dolayı Türk dili dersi üniversitelerde zorunlu ortak dersler arasında yer almaktadır. Ülkemizde bazı üniversiteler ön lisans, lisans ve lisansüstü eğitim programlarında yer alan dersleri ve zorunlu ortak derslerin tümünü veya bir kısmını 2013 yılından bu yana uzaktan eğitim uygulamasıyla yürütmeye başlamıştır. Zorunlu dersler arasında yer alan Türk dili dersi de bu kapsamda uzaktan eğitim uygulaması ile yürütülmeye başlanmıştır. Üniversitelerin uzaktan eğitim uygulamasına bu yönelişinin sebebi, artan öğrenci gereksinimlerine cevap verebilmek, onlara nitelikli bir eğitim sunmak ve çağın gerektirdiği bireysel gelişimi destekleyebilmektir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversitelerin eğitim programlarında yer alan zorunlu ortak derslerden Türk dili dersinin uzaktan eğitim uygulamasının öğrenci görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesidir. Araştırmanın modeli betimsel, yöntemi ise niteldir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu 100 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Bu öğrencilerden 50’si Gazi Üniversitesinde, 2016-2017 öğretim yılında, Fen Edebiyat, Mühendislik, Tıp, Eğitim ve Hukuk Fakültelerinin birinci sınıfında öğrenim gören öğrencilerdir. Diğer 50 öğrenci ise 2015- 2016 öğretim yılında, aynı fakültelerden mezun olan öğrencilerdir. Veriler, görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Veri toplama aracı ise yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formudur. Verilerin analizinde, içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bulgulara göre Türk dili dersinin hem uzaktan hem de yüz yüze eğitim uygulamalarına yönelik olumsuz öğrenci görüşleri çoğunluktadır. Her iki grupta yer alan öğrenci görüşlerinin analizinden elde edilen veriler benzerdir. Öğrenciler, uzaktan ve yüz yüze eğitim uygulamasının içerik boyutunda içeriğin basit ve yetersiz olduğunu, ders işlenişi (eğitim durumu) boyutunda öğretim elemanlarının etkili öğretim yöntem ve teknikler kullanmadığını, ölçme ve değerlendirme boyutunda ise sınavların basit olduğunu belirtmiştir. Uzaktan eğitim uygulamasının üç boyutunda da yetersizliklerin olması öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitim algılarını da olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir. Bu bulguların, uzaktan eğitim uygulayan kurumlar, uygulayıcılar ve Yükseköğretim Kurulu (YÖK) tarafından dikkate alınması, öğretimin niteliğinin arttırılmasına katkı sağlayabilir.</text>

                <text>The most urgent challenge of this year – the COVID-19 pandemic and measures of response to it – has sharpened and accelerated the process which was initially driven by bureaucratization and formalization: increasing depersonalization of academic life and the erosion of the university as a unique form of coexistence. The Assuming the concept of the university as a value category, this article aims to review and assess the changes in the self-perception of the academic community that have matured and acquired institutional forms in an attempt to adapt to rapidly shifting societal expectations and needs. Modern trends in university development are best expressed in terms such as “bureaucratization”, “formalization”, “depersonalization”, “instrumentalization of knowledge”, and “community fragmentation”. The pandemic of effective management that has affected Western universities and has gradually reached Vilnius University, no less than the pandemic of COVID-19 and administrative response to it, weakens the academic community based on autonomous and collegial decisions, which should be considered among the most important grounds of uniqueness of university as an institution.</text>

Methods: An online survey was conducted among 1792 people from March 15 to April 15, 2020 through an electronic questionnaire. The sample included academic and administrative staff, and UNEC’s students. Using the SPSS statistical software package, the Chi Square test is calculated. Findings &amp; Value added: The advantage of this study is the creation of a model that can be used not only to interpret the results of a sociological survey in real time, but also to make decisions and develop strategies for future developments.</text>

                <text>The study purpose is to explore the relationship between university readiness and university adjustment of first-generation students. Students enter university with dreams and motivation after entering university the first challenge is to adjust in the university environment. University readiness directly linked and influenced the university adjustment of the students. Thus, the major objectives of the research are: to know the university readiness of first-generation university students and to access how first-generation university students in step to the university life. For the purpose of data collection, a self-administered well-structured questionnaire was developed and used. The COVID-19 pandemic restricted the movement of the individuals and the academic institutions remained close that’s why the method of online survey was adopted to collect data in the second half of year 2020. In total, 405 first-generation university students’ responses were collected. Results show that first-generation students were less prepared to enter the university. The researcher found a significant relationship between university readiness and university adjustment. It was also found that majority of the first-generation university students were less prepared to enter the university and feel themselves miss adjustment with university environment.</text>

                <text>In light of rising concern about the coronavirus pandemic crisis, a growing number of universities across the world have either postponed or canceled all campus and other activities. This posed new challenges for university students. Based on the classification proposed in the Mental Health Continuum model by Keyes, the aims were to estimate university students’ prevalence of mental health during lookdown outbreak, and to examine the associations between mental health and, respectively, academic stress, self-efficacy, satisfaction for degree course, locus of control, COVID-19 risk perception, taking into account the level of information seeking about pandemic. Overall, 1124 Italian university students completed a self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and correlational analyses. Results showed that 22.3% of participants were flourishing, and levels of mental well-being appeared in line with normative values in young Italian adults; levels of academic stress were not significantly higher than those found in other student samples before the COVID-19 outbreak. Students with high levels of information seeking presented higher levels of well-being and risk perception. Results could be considered useful to realize training pathways, to help the university students to improve their well-being, post-pandemic.</text>

                <text>During Thailand’s COVID-19 lockdown, all university in the country must continue their classes in the Summer Semester with on-line format. This article described our university’s policy and practice to support university-wide on-line learning. Our support system included a Learning Management System, a teaching guideline for our instructors, an on-line training course for instructors, a quality control process, and a teaching assessment to obtain feedbacks from students. Due to the rushing nature of the situation, many instructors could not finish all teaching preparation before the semester started. However, the results showed that the students satisfied with their on-line classes with the average score of 4.54 from 5-point Likert Scale.</text>

                <text>To review and compare the constellations of causes and consequences of the two current pandemics, Covid-19 and climate change. There has been a transient counterbalancing, in which the response to Covid-19 has briefly mitigated pollution and greenhouse gasses. This divergence belies multiple commonalities of cause and effect. The convergence of these two pandemics is unprecedented. Although at first glance, they appear to be completely unrelated, they share striking commonalities. Both are caused by human behaviors, and some of those behaviors contribute to both pandemics at the same time. Both illustrate the fact that isolation is not an option; these are global issues that inescapably affect all persons and all nations. Both incur prodigious current and anticipated costs. Both have similar societal impacts, and disproportionately harm those with lesser resources, widening the gap between the 'haves and the have-nots.' One can only hope that the devastation caused by these unprecedented pandemics will lead to increased awareness of how human beings have helped to create them and how our responses can and will shape our future.</text>
