A greenhouse experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of sulphur (S) inoculated with Acidithiobacillus on phosphorus (P) availability from natural phosphate (NP) using different fertilizer application methods on yam bean (Pachyrhizus erosus) grown in a 'Tableland Forest' soil (Podzol Hydromorphic dystrophic) of the 'Zona da Mata' in the State of Pernambuco, Brazil. Plants were inoculated with rhizobia strains (NFN 747 and NFB 748) and control treatments added without rhizobia inoculation. The P treatments were: (1) NP pelleted with S inoculated with Acidithiobacillus (NP S*); (2) S with Acidithiobacillus pelleted with NP (S* NP); (3) NP and S mixture inoculated with Acidithiobacillus (S* + NP); (4) NP and S mixture without Acidithiobacillus (NP + S); (5) triple superphosphate (TS) fertilization and (6) control treatment without phosphorus application (P0). The fertilizers were applied: a) on the surface; b) in the plant furrow 10 cm below the seeds; c) in the furrow 10 cm below and beside the seeds. Nodule dry matter was higher with (NP + S*), and best results were obtained when fertilizers were applied beside and above seeds. The treatment (FN + S*) increased plant height, dry biomass of nodules, tubers, and shoots, and the total N uptake, especially when applied 10 cm below seeds. Total P uptake was highest with (S* NP) applied 10 cm below seeds. The available soil P was highest in the treatments (NP + S*) and (NP + S) with most evident results when applied 10 cm below seeds.</text>

The main focus of the group is the agroecological approaches related to the production systems adopted by family farming. Based on the aforementioned aspects, the objective of this paper is to report the experiences of GANOM since its creation in 2013 until the year 2016, in order to further disseminate the experiences and to encourage similar initiatives in other institutions. Group meetings were every other week and had the purpose of enhancing the analytical capabilities of their members, stimulating the development of critical sense on the topics studied. In addition to a theoretical approach, the students of the group collaborated in the organization of other activities, tutoring, research and extension projects that addressed agroecology as a structural axis of vocational training. The group consolidated several partnerships with organizations and social movements in the countryside and in the central city area. The different methods adopted by GANOM are also reported by other study groups.

Therefore, it is empirically the reality in the field in Goiás, federative unit that has undergone profound changes with the advancement of sugarcane monoculture. It is understood that this activity meets the designs of capitalist accumulation, and is, in turn, linked to international economic interests with regard to the export of commodities. This sort, it is inferred that the preterit labor relations, marked in many cases by labor analogous to slavery, denouncing modernity anomalous, since linked to what is most advanced in terms of circulation and consumption of goods such as ethanol arising of cane sugar. Fragmented into three parts, the first article discusses the contemporary slave labor from the notions of a new rural and modernity anomalous. The medicinal plants of the Guajá people of eastern Amazonia include a number of plants that are used to repel the ghosts of the dead. This work discusses the aiyã ghost repellent plants in terms of their symbolic meaning, biological efficacy, and historical ecological context. Ghost repellent plants are identified through their pungent smell, which counteract the disease-causing foul smell of the ghosts of the dead. The efficacy of the cure may also relate to its interference with the so-called 'Proustian phenomenon,' which refers to the power of olfactory stimuli to evoke memories of the past. As such, ghost repellent plants may function, in a sense, to repel memory and cope with grief. Finally, evidence is discussed the predominance of ghost repellent plants among the Guajá is an artifact of massive depopulation in the wake of European contact.</text>

Las asociaciones se conformaron con la leguminosa vicia atropurpúrea (<i>Vicia sativa</i> L.) en combinación con avena caldas (<i>Avena sativa</i> L.), girasol (híbrido Hi Doris) (<i>Helianthus annus</i> L.), higuerilla (<i>Ricinus communis</i> L.), nabo forrajero (<i>Raphanus sativus</i> L.) o quinua (<i>Chenopodium quinua</i>).

Several aspects of the abovementioned contribution concerning ecological and biogeographical aspects are discussed. The new temperature range proposed by the authors for this species is weakly supported by evidence and should be interpreted as tentative. The statement that this new record occurred in the Monte biogeographic province is erroneous. The type locality of the new species belongs to the Chacoan biogeographic province.Rodríguez et al.
