A biomassa inicial de 75 kg ha-1 (60:30:4:3:3% de tilápia, tambaqui, carpa, curimatã e tucunaré, respectivamente) otimizou o crescimento e a produtividade dos peixes. We collected and analyzed their data, including demographic data, history of comorbidity, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, chest computed tomography (CT) images, treatment options, and survival.Results: The percentages of patients with diabetes among the severe and critical COVID-19 cases were higher than those among the mild or general cases (89.2%, 10.8 vs. 0%, p = 0.001). However, patients with and without diabetes showed no difference in the follow-up period (p = 0.993). The mortality rate in patients with or without diabetes was 2.9% (n = 4) and 1.1% (n = 9), respectively (p = 0.114). Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses and the Kaplan-Meier curves did not show any statistically significant differences between patients with and without diabetes (all p &gt; 0.05).Conclusions: Our study results suggested that diabetes had no effect on the prognosis of COVID-19 patients but had a negative association with their clinical courses. These results may be useful for clinicians in the management of diabetic patients with COVID-19. El empleo de las diferentes variantes del método de censo visual en las publicaciones analizadas dificulta la comparación de las asociaciones de peces en cada área. Sin embargo, se observó una tendencia a la escasez de peces de gran talla y de importancia comercial en los parques nacionales con excepción de Jardines de la Reina. La carencia de estudios científicos publicados dedicados a la ictiofauna arrecifal en tales sitios en Cuba evidencia la necesidad de centrar los esfuerzos en este tipo de estudio que aporta el conocimiento necesario para el mejor manejo de estos recursos. ABSTRACT Marine protected areas (MPAs) have become a key component in the conservation of marine life and habitats worldwide. In Cuba, their use has also gained momentum, particularly the National Parks, the second stricter management category in the country. Surprisingly, despite well-proven efficacy of fishes as indicators of habitat status, few studies have been conducted to assess National Parks’ effectiveness in protecting the fish communities. This paper aims at analyzing the current state of knowledge and conservation status of reef fish publications about their fishes. The use of different alternatives of the visual census method undermines the comparison of reef fish assemblages among areas. Nevertheless, a common lack of big and commercially important fish species was observed in all National Parks but Jardines de la Reina. Scarcity of scientific publications about reef fish assemblages in these National Parks triggers the need to conduct management-oriented research that contributes to the protection and sustainability of fish communities. Contó con la participación del Viceministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología a través del Programa Sistema Boliviano de Información Científica y Tecnológica – SIBICYT, como coordinador ejecutivo del sitio; la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, como coordinador técnico; y el Programa de Investigación Estratégica en Bolivia, la Universidad Católica Boliviana, la Asociación Boliviana de Editores de Revistas Biomédicas y el apoyo de la Organización Panamericana de Salud Representación Bolivia1. El 2 009 inició como un sitio piloto y en un año fue reconocido por la organización como un sitio “en desarrollo”, a partir de entonces fue evaluado durante cinco años cumpliendo las condiciones requeridas: tener una institución coordinadora y un comité consultivo responsables del desarrollo de la colección y comunicación científica con alcance y composición multidisciplinar, tener guías de políticas y criterios de evaluación para la inclusión y permanencia de revistas en la colección SciELO, acceso Bolivia SciELO collection to Red SciELO abierto y licencia de acceso “creative commons®”, junto con características técnicas específicas para la web2,3. Tras un constante trabajo, el 15 de Marzo del 2 015 la colección SciELO Bolivia recibió la certificación para su ingreso a la Red SciELO, una de las plataformas de revistas y publicaciones científicas más importantes y reconocidas a nivel internacional que abarca todos los países de América Latina, el Caribe, África, India, Francia, España y Portugal2. A la fecha, la colección SciELO está integrada por 16 revistas científicas electrónicas: Ajayu Órgano de Difusión Científica del Departamento de Psicología UCB-SP , Ecología en Bolivia – Revista del Instituto de Ecología, Iuris Tantum Revista Boliviana de Derecho, Journal of the Selva Andina Research Society, Punto Cero , Revista Boliviana de Física, Revista Boliviana de Química, Revista Ciencia y Cultura, Revista Integra Educativa, Revista Latinoamericana de Desarrollo Económico, Revista Perspectivas, T’inkazos – Revista Boliviana de Ciencias Sociales; y correspondientes al área de las ciencias de la salud: Gaceta Médica Boliviana, Revista Científica Ciencia Médica, Revista de la Sociedad Boliviana de Pediatría y Revista Médica La Paz1. Queda felicitar tanto a los coordinadores como al comité editorial de las revistas que forman parte de la familia SciELO, el trabajo conjunto de ambas partes permitió alcanzar la meta de formar parte de la Red SciELO, entendemos que desde ahora el trabajo no será más liviano, es más, exigirá mayor desempeño a cada una de las partes, mayor capacitación, adquisición de nuevos conocimientos y destrezas, es todo un proceso que conlleva a la realización de cambios, pero con la seguridad y compromiso de cumplir cada una de las exigencias, aumentando la calidad investigativa e ir sumando más logros para la ciencia en Bolivia.
