Se utilizaron métodos establecidos por diversos autores y la ecuación racional de tiro propuesta por Goriachkin, V. P., obteniéndose un gasto total de energía: con tracción motorizada de 1278,91 MJ/ha; con tracción animal de 1213,23 MJ/ha. La eficiencia energética de la energía directa con respecto a la energía secuestrada total en la motorizada es de 9,57 % y la animal de 5,6 %, y la eficiencia energética de la energía directa respecto a la energía gastada a partir de la suministrada en la tracción motorizada es de 11,38 % y con tracción animal es de 7,09 %. Sin embargo, la energía secuestrada total por m3 de volumen roturado para una ha es 21,22 % mayor para el tiro animal que para el motorizado. Se incluye el análisis económico teniendo en cuenta los costos de inversión, depreciación, mantenimientos, reparaciones y de las diferentes fuentes de energía, obteniéndose un costo total en la labor de rotura con tracción animal superior a la tracción motorizada en 78,10 peso. Two different implements using animal draught (Arandino plow and conventional plow) and a manual tool - the hoe- were compared; A preliminary trial was made at the first location in order to adjust the methodology which allowed to clear some elements to plan the definitive trial at 'La Maria'. It contributed to the methods for research on animal draught in slopes. Compared with the conventional plow and the hoe the Arandino plow provided the highest width of cut, depth of labor and field capacity, and the least cost per hectare. For the farmers and plowmen it was more profitable to carry out the plowing labor with the Arandino plow because it provides a larger tilled area in a shorter time, better quality of materials and because it is lighter and easier to handle. The conventional plow showed larger field efficiency than the Arandino. The manual tillage (using the hoe) will be useful if the own fanner or the community carry out the labor.En la vereda de Potrerillo del Municipio de Caldono y en el Resguardo Indígena La María del Municipio de Piendamó Departamento del Cauca, Colombia, se realizo un estudio comparativo en el cual se evaluaron dos arados para tracción animal el Arandino y el convencional- y una herramienta manual, el azadón, en cuanto a su desempeño técnico y económico-administrativo. En la primera localidad se realizó un ensayo de ajuste de la metodología convencional empleada en estudios de mecanización, lográndose aportes para adaptarla a estudios en ladera con tracción animal. El ensayo definitivo con la metodología modificada se llevó a cabo en La María; el arado Arandino proporcionó los mejores ancho de corte, profundidad de trabajo y capacidad de campo efectiva, el menor costo por hectárea y resultó ser el preferido por los bueyeros del norte del Callea, debido a su mayor rendimiento, mejor calidad de los materiales de fabricación y por ser más liviano. Por su parte, el arado convencional presentó la mayor eficiencia de campo y la labranza manual los menores promedios de área neta y volumen de suelo removido; esta ultima puede resultar útil en aquellos casos en que el agricultor y su familia o la comunidad efectúan la labranza. Está creciendo en todo el mundo, en parte debido a faltas o deficiencias en las evaluaciones de los procesos y causas de dicha degradación en cada situación específica. Los procesos de degradación física de suelos se manifiestan a través de problemas de compactación, sellado, encostrado, escorrentía, erosión hídrica y eólica, movimientos en masa, etc., con efectos colaterales 'in situ' y a distancia, a menudo con consecuencias desastrosas como inundaciones, deslizamientos de tierra, sedimentaciones, sequías, etc. Estos procesos están frecuentemente asociados a cambios desfavorables en los procesos hidrológicos responsables del balance de agua y régimen hídrico de los suelos, derivados principalmente de cambios en el uso y manejo de las tierras y de cambios climáticos. La evaluación de dichos procesos bajo diferentes escenarios de cambios de clima, propiedades de los suelos y uso y manejo de las tierras con el uso de modelos de simulación sencillos y flexibles, basados en procesos hidrológicos, permitiría predecir su desarrollo, y con ello, la selección y aplicación de prácticas apropiadas de conservación de suelos para eliminar o moderar sus efectos. Estos modelos requieren, como base, información adecuada sobre clima y propiedades hidrológicas de los suelos. A pesar de que existen metodologías y equipos comerciales cada vez más sofisticados y 'precisos' para medir las diferentes propiedades físicas e hidrológicas de los suelos relacionados con los procesos de degradación, la mayoría de ellos solo son aplicables bajo condiciones de laboratorio y en suelos y condiciones muy particulares. A menudo se utilizan métodos indirectos, basados en relaciones o índices empíricos sin una adecuada validación, que frecuentemente conducen a costosos errores en la evaluación de procesos de degradación de suelos y de sus efectos sobre desastres naturales. The result of this study indicates that rearing tambaqui in semi-intensive polyculture without supplementary feed had a low growth and the pearl millet fed fish showed a high performance. Por isso, vários governos orientaram para lá programas de desenvolvimento rural. Mas esses esforços não produziram bons resultados. Este artigo analisa as relações entre programas públicos e agricultura familiar, fazendo um balanço dos métodos e resultados das últimas três décadas. Conclui pela necessidade de incorporar as especificidades de história, ambientes e sociedade aos programas, que deveriam partir das experiências das organizações da região e se ajustar às ações e à cultura desses agricultores.The agrarian conditions and the low relative levels of the socioeconomic indicators cause the area of the 'High Jequitinhonha Valley', in the northeast of the State of Minas Gerais, to be considered one of the most complex areas of Brazil. For this reason several governanmental administrations have recommended rural development programs. Most of these efforts, however, have not produced adequate results. This article analyzes the relationships between public programs and family farming, making a survey of the methods and results of the last three decades. It concludes that there is a need to incorporate the specificities of history, environment and culture into the rural programs. It is suggested that the programs take into consideration the experience accumulated by the regional organizations and be adjusted to the interest and culture of the local family producers.
