En una segunda sección se exponen cuestionamientos a esta teoría. Posteriormente se hace un análisis del discurso y una explicación del fenómeno del cambio climático como construcción social considerando los conceptos de revolución científica y episteme, este último para examinar su relación con el ecologismo. Se concluye señalando la necesidad de abrir el debate para disminuir las incertidumbres existentes.</text>

                <text>Severe acute respiratory coronavirus (SARS-CoV) emerged in 2002, resulting in roughly 8000 cases worldwide and 10% mortality. The animal reservoirs for SARS-CoV precursors still exist and the likelihood of future outbreaks in the human population is high. The SARS-CoV papain-like protease (PLP) is an attractive target for pharmaceutical development because it is essential for virus replication and is conserved among human coronaviruses. A yeast-based assay was established for PLP activity that relies on the ability of PLP to induce a pronounced slow-growth phenotype when expressed in S. cerevisiae. Induction of the slow-growth phenotype was shown to take place over a 60-hour time course, providing the basis for conducting a screen for small molecules that restore growth by inhibiting the function of PLP. Five chemical suppressors of the slow-growth phenotype were identified from the 2000 member NIH Diversity Set library. One of these, NSC158362, potently inhibited SARS-CoV replication in cell culture without toxic effects on cells, and it specifically inhibited SARS-CoV replication but not influenza virus replication. The effect of NSC158362 on PLP protease, deubiquitinase and anti-interferon activities was investigated but the compound did not alter these activities. Another suppressor, NSC158011, demonstrated the ability to inhibit PLP protease activity in a cell-based assay. The identification of these inhibitors demonstrated a strong functional connection between the PLP-based yeast assay, the inhibitory compounds, and SARS-CoV biology. Furthermore the data with NSC158362 suggest a novel mechanism for inhibition of SARS-CoV replication that may involve an unknown activity of PLP, or alternatively a direct effect on a cellular target that modifies or bypasses PLP function in yeast and mammalian cells.</text>

                <text>Yemen has been faced with the worst cholera epidemic of modern times, with more than 1 million suspected cases and 3000 deaths at the time of writing. This problem is largely due to the longstanding civil war between pro-government forces and the Houthi armed movement, which has severely damaged already vulnerable sanitation and healthcare facilities and systems in the country. It is further compounded by a dire lack of basic amenities, chronic malnutrition, and unfavourable weather conditions. Another contributory component may be aerial transfer by cholera-infected chironomid insects. To contain the spread of cholera in Yemen, a nation-wide armistice should be negotiated, and national and local committees must be convened to coordinate efforts on the ground. Community isolation facilities with proper sanitation, reliable disposal systems, and a clean water supply should be set up to isolate and treat sick patients. The continuity of vaccination programmes should be ensured. Public health campaigns to educate local communities about good hygiene practices and nutrition are also necessary. The One Health paradigm emphasizes a multi-sectoral and transdisciplinary understanding and approach to prevent and mitigate the threat of communicable diseases. This paradigm is highly applicable to the ongoing cholera crisis in Yemen, as it demands a holistic and whole-of-society approach at the local, regional, and national levels. The key stakeholders and warring parties in Yemen must work towards a lasting ceasefire during these trying times, especially given the extra burden from the mounting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) outbreak worldwide.</text>

Dünya Sağlık Örgütü'nün talimatları doğrultusunda ülkeler kısmen sokağa çıkma yasağı uygulaması ile kişilerin yaşam şeklini değiştirmiş ve tüketicinin mobil hizmet veren uygulamalara geçişini teşvik etmiştir. Ayrıca ülkeler taşımacılık türlerini ülkeler arasında kısıtlamış daha sonra tamamen kaldırmıştır. Böylece taşımacılık sektörü gelirlerinin azalmasına sebep olmuştur. Bu çalışmada, 2020 yılında dünyada etkisini gösterdiği Covid-19'un küresel ekonomi üzerindeki etkisini tespit etmek amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaçla havayolu yolcu sayısı ve yük trafiğinin 2018-2020 yılları arasındaki değişimi analiz edilmiş ve bu salgın hastalığın lojistik sektörünü nasıl etkilediği ortaya konulmuştur.</text>

                <text>Biofertilizers are organic products usually obtained from an anaerobic process, evaluated mainly as phytoprotectors for agriculture, although they can improve fruit production. By this way, a field experiment was carried out in Remígio County, Paraiba State, Brazil, to evaluate the effects of two bovine biofertilizers on yield, medium mass and quality of papaya fruits (Carica papaya L.), ‘Baixinho de Santa Amália’ cultivar. Treatments were distributed in a randomized complete blocks design with three replications and 15 plants in each parcel, in a 2 x 5 factorial arrangement, with two biofertilizers: simple (water and fresh bovine manure) and supermagro (water, fresh bovine manure, macro and micronutrients and a protein mix), applied in soil under liquid form at five volumes, as follows: 0.0; 0.5; 1.0; 1.5; e 2.0 L cave-1. There was no statistical difference between biofertilizers for fruit mass, yield and external and internal fruit quality variables, while between volumes differences were registered for both biofertilizers. The results, except for fruit firmness, registered positive effects of the biofertilizers on ‘Baixinho de Santa Amália’ papaya cultivar in relation to yield and physical and chemical fruit quality.Os biofertilizantes são produtos orgânicos geralmente obtidos via anaerobiose, estudados, principalmente, como fitoprotetores para a agricultura, mas que podem também incrementar a produção das plantas. Nesse sentido, um experimento de campo foi desenvolvido, no período de maio/2003 a agosto/2004, no município de Remígio-Pb, para avaliar os efeitos de dois biofertilizantes bovinos sobre a massa média, produtividade e a qualidade externa e interna dos frutos do mamoeiro Havaí (Carica papaya L.) cultivar ‘Baixinho de Santa Amália’. Os tratamentos foram dispostos em blocos casualizados com três repetições e 15 plantas por parcela, em esquema fatorial 2 x 5,sendo dois biofertilizantes: puro (água e esterco fresco de bovino) e o supermagro (além de água e esterco bovino fresco é enriquecido com macro, micronutrientes e mistura protéica), aplicados ao solo na forma líquida nos volumes 0,0; 0,5; 1,0; 1,5; e 2,0 L cova-1. A massa média, a produtividade e as variáveis referentes à qualidade externa e interna dos frutos não deferiram entre os tipos de biofertilizantes, mas responderam significativamente às doses de ambos os insumos. Os resultados, exceto quanto à firmeza dos frutos, demonstram efeitos positivos dos biofertilizantes no cultivo do mamoeiro ‘Baixinho de Santa Amália’ em termos de rendimento por área e qualidade físico-química dos frutos.</text>

                <text>The term 'organically grown food' denotes products that have been produced in accordance with the principles and practices of organic agriculture. The use of alternatives to synthetic fertilizers is an important issue in organic systems. A two-year field experiment to evaluate effects of organic fertilizers on the yield and quality of open field grown tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) was carried out in Southern Turkey in 2000 and 2001. Combinations of manure, blood flour and micronutrient preparations were used for fertilization, and conventional mineral fertilization was included as the control. Yield did not differ between the fertilization and the Conventional treatments in the first year of the study, but the highest yield was obtained from conventional in the second year. No differences were found between treatments in terms of fruit soluble sugar content or citric acid. The application of organic fertilizers positively affected the micronutritional element content of tomato fruits compared to the conventional treatment. Organic fertilization results in improved yield and fruit quality compared to conventional fertilization. In addition, organic fertilization should be supported in order to facilitate reuse and disposal of organic wastes and to maintain and/or increase soil fertility.O termo 'alimentos cultivados organicamente' denota produtos que tenham sido produzidos em conformidade com os princípios e práticas da agricultura orgânica. O uso de alternativas para fertilizantes sintéticos é uma questão importante em sistemas orgânicos. Um experimento de campo foi conduzido no sul da Turquia em 2000 e 2001 para avaliar os efeitos da adubação orgânica na produtividade e na qualidade de tomates (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill), cultivados em campo aberto. Combinações de esterco, farinha de sangue e preparações de micronutrientes foram utilizados para a fertilização, e adubações minerais convencionais foram incluídas como controle. A produção não diferiu entre a fertilização e os tratamentos convencionais no primeiro ano do estudo, porém uma maior produtividade foi obtida a partir do sistema convencional, no segundo ano. Não foram encontradas diferenças entre os tratamentos em termos de teor de açúcares solúveis ou ácido cítrico em frutos. A aplicação de fertilizantes orgânicos afetou positivamente o conteúdo dos elementos micronutritionais dos frutos do tomateiro em relação ao tratamento convencional. A adubação orgânica resultou em maior produtividade e qualidade dos frutos, quando comparada à adubação convencional, e deve ser apoiada, a fim de facilitar a reutilização e eliminação de resíduos orgânicos bem como para manter e/ou aumentar a fertilidade do solo.</text>

                <text>The fruit of the West Indian gherkin is greatly appreciated in Brazilian cuisine, especially in the north and northeast of Brazil. However, it is still considered a secondary crop, and is cultivated using non-technical management. As it is a crop produced mainly by small farmers, any research should be directed towards its cultivation using inputs produced on the farm itself, such as bio-fertilisers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect on the yield of two West Indian gherkin cultivars, of different doses of bio-fertiliser consisting of cattle manure and commercial products containing bacteria and enzymes that degrade organic molecules.A completely randomised design was used in a 2 x 4 factorial scheme with four replications. The factors included two cultivars (Do Norte and Liso Gibão) and four doses of bio-fertiliser (0, 8, 16 and 24 m3  ha-1) applied through fertigation. The experiment lasted for 100 days, with six collections being made, for which thefollowing variables were evaluated: number of fruits, fruit weight, production and yield. All the variables were affected by the interaction between the factors under study. The cultivars did not differ as to yield, however the De North cultivar gave the highest number of fruits, while the Liso Gibão cultivar produced fruit of a greater weight. From the results obtained, a dose of 14 m3 ha-1 is recommended for the Liso Gibão cultivar. For the DeNorte cultivar, further studies with higher doses of bio-fertiliser are recommended. = Os frutos de maxixeiro são de grande apreciação na culinária brasileira, principalmente nas regiões Norte e Nordeste do Brasil. No entanto, é considerada uma cultura secundária e seu cultivo é realizado sem adoção de manejo tecnificado. Devido o seu cultivo ser realizado, principalmente, por pequenos produtores, as pesquisas empregando insumos produzidos na própria propriedade, como o biofertilizante, na adubação do maxixe são relevantes. Nesse sentido, objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar o efeito de doses de biofertilizante na produtividade de duas cultivares de maxixe. Utilizou-se o delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 2 x 4, com quatro repetições. Os fatores consistiram de duas cultivares (Do Norte e Liso Gibão) e quatro doses de biofertilizante (0; 8; 16 e 24 m3 ha-1), aplicadas via fertirrigação. O experimento foi conduzido durante 100 dias, sendo realizadas seis colheitas, nas quais se avaliou as seguintes variáveis: número de frutos, massa de frutos, produção e produtividade. Todas as variáveis foram afetadas pela interação entre os fatores estudados. As cultivares estudadas não diferiram quanto à produção, no entanto, a cv. Do Norte apresentou maior número de frutos, enquanto a cv. Liso Gibão apresentou frutos mais pesados. A partir dos resultados obtidos, recomenda-se a dose de 14 m3 ha-1 para a cultivar Liso Gibão. Para a cultivar Do Norte, recomenda-se mais estudos com doses mais elevadas de biofertilizante.</text>

                <text>In Northeastern Brazil, the sweet potato is cultivated in small farms, in a family farming systems, constituting themselves an alternative way for the generation of food, employment and income. This study aimed to assess the effect of cattle manure levels and biofertilizer concentrations on the sweet potato cultivar White Queen productivity. The experiment was carried out from March to September 2007 at the EMEPA Experimental Station in Lagoa Seca, Brazil. The experimental design was randomized blocks, in split split plot 6 x 4 x 2 + 1 scheme, with four replications. The plots consisted of cattle manure levels (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 t ha-1), the subplot of biofertilizer concentrations (0, 15, 30 and 45%) and the sub subplots consisted of methods of biofertilizer application, to the soil or leaves. Also, there was an additional control treatment using N, P and K mineral fertilizer. Commercial and total root productivity was evaluated. The levels of 30.8 and 31.2 t ha-1 of cattle manure were responsible for the highest commercial and total sweet potato root productivity (17.4 and 13.1 t ha-1, respectively). Biofertilizer concentrations of 29 and 28%, applied to soil and to leaves provided, respectively, the greatest productivities of total roots (15.4 and 13.1 t ha-1), whereas concentrations of 30 and 27%, also applied to soil and leaves were responsible, respectively, for the highest commercial root productivity (11 and 9.7 t ha-1).Na região Nordeste do Brasil, a batata-doce é principalmente plantada por pequenos produtores em sistema de agricultura familiar, constituindo-se numa alternativa de alimentação e geração de emprego e renda. Este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar o efeito das doses de esterco bovino e de concentrações de biofertilizante sobre a produtividade da batata-doce, cultivar Rainha Branca. O experimento foi conduzido no período de março a setembro de 2007 na Estação Experimental da EMEPA, em Lagoa Seca-PB, Brasil. O delineamento experimental foi de blocos casualizados, em esquema de parcelas subdivididas 6 x 4 x 2 + 1, em quatro repetições. A parcela foi constituída de doses de esterco bovino (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 e 50 t ha-1), a subparcela de concentrações de biofertilizante (0, 15, 30 e 45%). A subsubparcela foi representada pelas formas de aplicação do biofertilizante no solo e via foliar, aos 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 e 100 dias após o plantio. Foi aplicado um tratamento adicional com adubação N, P e K. Foram avaliadas produtividade total e comercial de raízes. As doses de 30,8 e 31,2 t ha-1 de esterco bovino resultaram em máximas produtividades total e comercial de raízes de batata-doce, 17,4 e 13,1 t ha-1, respectivamente. As concentrações de 29 e 28% de biofertilizante, aplicadas no solo e via foliar, respectivamente, proporcionaram as maiores produtividades total de raízes (15,4 e 13,1 t ha-1) e as concentrações de 30 e 27%, também aplicadas no solo e via foliar foram responsáveis, respectivamente, pelas máximas produtividades comerciais de raízes (11 e 9,7 t ha-1).</text>

                <text>Los biofertilizantes foliares (BFF) se elaboran a partir de insumos locales de plantas o animales. En el valle de Toluca se evaluó el impacto de cuatro diferentes BFF sobre un policultivo con maíz, haba y calabaza. De todos los BFF comparados, el elaborado de estiércol de ganado y pulque mostró el mayor contenido de N y P y resultó en la mayor cosecha de maíz. Un fertilizante hecho de estiércol de vaca y mazorcas de maíz mostró más K y estimuló el rendimiento de la calabaza. Otro BFF, elaborado de estiércol de vaca y ortiga picada, generó la mayor cosecha de haba. No existen recetas estándar para los BFF, sino su formulación apropiada varía según los recursos disponibles y los cultivos tratados.</text>
