El nuevo escenario territorial generado por el cambio climático y la globalización económica ha aumentado la vulnerabilidad de la población a sufrir eventos asociados a riesgos naturales. El Ordenamiento Territorial surge como una herramienta para disminuir la vulnerabilidad, en forma planificada y sustentable con el ambiente. Sin embargo, para que dicha herramienta sea realmente eficaz, es necesario que integre la Gestión del Riesgo y la Gestión Ambiental, definiéndose de esa manera una metodología integradora. Con este fin, se presentan en este artículo dos aproximaciones metodológicas surgidas de la discusión de una comunidad de práctica integrada por académicos de universidades latinoamericanas que han unido sus esfuerzos y experiencias para solucionar un problema común, y que pretende disminuir el riesgo de sus poblaciones a sufrir desastres naturales.

 de que los seres humanos son parte del ecosistema y por lo mismo no corresponde
 entender la naturaleza como una bodega de víveres para satisfacer sus necesidades.
 Se propone algunas líneas de intervención de carácter comunitaria, que abordan
 aspectos conceptuales como así mismo dimensiones operativas.

El presente trabajo expone los resultados investigativos sobre la contratación bancaria respecto a las cooperativas agropecuarias y su incidencia en la seguridad alimentaria de la población. Como objetivo de la investigación resulta valorar el escenario de la contratación bancaria respecto a las cooperativas agropecuarias, tomando como referencia el municipio de Santa Clara en la central provincia Villa Clara, Cuba, para determinar la importancia de los servicios bancarios en la actividad agraria, su contexto y su relación con la seguridad alimentaria. Como métodos de investigación jurídica empleados se tienen el teórico-jurídico y el analítico jurídico. El principal resultado es una valoración del sistema actual de los créditos agropecuarios al sector cooperativo y su relación con la seguridad alimentaria en Cuba. En forma creciente, los ecólogos somos llamados a desempeñar un rol más activo en la gestión de los recursos naturales y en la planifcación de los ecosistemas y paisajes rurales de nuestro país. La efectividad de la gestión y planifcación depende mayormente de la capacidad para transformar los comportamientos humanos que más influyen sobre el estado de los ecosistemas y los paisajes. Por lo tanto, la capacidad de los procesos y resultados de la investigación en ecología para transformar la realidad de los territorios se puede potenciar al integrarlos con elementos conceptuales y metodológicos de las ciencias del comportamiento humano. En el territorio, los cambios en el uso y cobertura de la tierra son el resultado de una multiplicidad de decisiones que toman quienes afectan de manera directa a los ecosistemas y a aquellos que se benefcian de ellos, en su mayoría productores agropecuarios. El presente trabajo revisa teorías, conceptos, métodos y aplicaciones de la psicología social para visibilizar y poner en debate sus aportes reales y potenciales a la investigación y la gestión de ecosistemas y paisajes rurales sujetos a transformación por la agricultura, los que son ilustrados con estudios en el Chaco Seco argentino. La teoría del comportamiento planifcado demostró ser un modelo conceptual y analítico de gran valor sinóptico para comprender los factores motivacionales endógenos que influyen sobre la formación de las intenciones de conservar por parte de productores agropecuarios. La valoración social de servicios ecosistémicos permitió observar la diversidad de identidades y de perfles de valoración que coexisten en el territorio. Finalmente, la superposición de curvas de compromiso e indiferencia mostró ser una herramienta simple y poderosa para vincular los compromisos ecológicos con los conflictos de preferencias, y para identifcar barreras y oportunidades que le permitan a los productores agropecuarios realizar una transición hacia sistemas efcientes y aceptables de uso de la tierra.

O Quintal Solidário foi criado por meio da parceria entre a Seção Sindical dos Docentes da Universidade Federal de Viçosa e o programa de extensão Incubadora Tecnológica de Cooperativas Populares da Universidade Federal de Viçosa. Seu principal objetivo é valorizar e promover a agroecologia por intermédio da economia solidária e agricultura familiar para integração entre produtores(as) e consumidores(as), fortalecendo relações solidárias, o consumo consciente, produção sustentável e a segurança alimentar e nutricional. Os principais resultados alcançados são a constituição de um mercado ou espaço de comercialização diferenciado, a geração de renda, assessoria técnica e formação, interação social, articulação entre o ensino, pesquisa e extensão e o fortalecimento do comércio justo e consumo solidário.

Viruses replicate inside the cells of an organism and continuously evolve to contend with an ever-changing environment. Many life-threatening diseases, such as AIDS, SARS, hepatitis and some cancers, are caused by viruses. Because viruses have small genome sizes and high mutability, there is currently a lack of and an urgent need for effective treatment for many viral pathogens. One approach that has recently received much attention is aptamer-based therapeutics. Aptamer technology has high target specificity and versatility, i.e., any viral proteins could potentially be targeted. Consequently, new aptamer-based therapeutics have the potential to lead a revolution in the development of anti-infective drugs. Additionally, aptamers can potentially bind any targets and any pathogen that is theoretically amenable to rapid targeting, making aptamers invaluable tools for treating a wide range of diseases. This review will provide a broad, comprehensive overview of viral therapies that use aptamers. The aptamer selection process will be described, followed by an explanation of the potential for treating virus infection by aptamers. Recent progress and prospective use of aptamers against a large variety of human viruses, such as HIV-1, HCV, HBV, SCoV, Rabies virus, HPV, HSV and influenza virus, with particular focus on clinical development of aptamers will also be described. Finally, we will discuss the challenges of advancing antiviral aptamer therapeutics and prospects for future success.

Aptamers are in vitro selected DNA or RNA molecules that are capable of binding a wide range of nucleic and non-nucleic acid molecules with high affinity and specificity. They have been conducted through the process known as SELEX (Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment). It serves to reach specificity and considerable affinity to target molecules, including those of viral origin, both proteins and nucleic acids. Properties of aptamers allow detecting virus infected cells or viruses themselves and make them competitive to monoclonal antibodies. Specific aptamers can be used to interfere in each stage of the viral replication cycle and also inhibit its penetration into cells. Many current studies have reported possible application of aptamers as a treatment or diagnostic tool in viral infections, e.g., HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), HBV (Hepatitis B Virus), HCV (Hepatitis C Virus), SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), H5N1 avian influenza and recently spread Ebola. This review presents current developments of using aptamers in the diagnostics and treatment of viral diseases.

La planificación en base a la evaluación de tierras es el proceso de determinación y predicción del comportamiento de una porción de tierra usada para fines específicos, considerando aspectos físicos, económicos y sociales. Asimismo, se constituye en una herramienta para la toma de decisiones y tener un manejo sostenible del recurso suelo considerando su capacidad productiva. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar la aptitud de uso del suelo, en base a las limitaciones y potencialidades edafo-climáticas para el cultivo de cacao. El área de proyecto fue la región de Tumupasa, en el municipio de San Buenaventura, segunda sección de la provincia Abel Iturralde al norte del departamento de La Paz, tomando como referencia los datos obtenidos por Miranda et.al. (2020) sobre el análisis físico-químico de suelos. El procedimiento para realizar la investigación fue: a) sistematización de información secundaria y primaria, b) elaboración de la metodología y parámetros de evaluación de los suelos en base lo sistematizado, c) diseño e interpretación de resultados en mapas y e) socialización de los resultados a las autoridades del lugar y organizaciones sociales. De acuerdo a los datos obtenidos, la zona presenta áreas moderadamente aptas, aptas y en menor proporción no aptas para el cultivo, evidenciado principalmente en la limitación nutricional que presenta los suelos en el nitrógeno, materia orgánica y capacidad de intercambio catiónico. Sin embargo, haciendo un análisis de las características agronómicas del cultivo de cacao, estas limitaciones son oportunidades para el uso de otro tipo de tecnologías para la producción, una de las cuales son los sistemas agroforestales, que aportan de gran manera el nutriente limitante (nitrógeno), con el aporte de biomasa de las especies acompañantes, sin que esto incida en el gasto significativo de presupuesto para los productores.

En una primera fase se realizó la a) socialización y prospección del área de estudio, b) toma de muestras de diferentes comunidades de Tumupasa, c) análisis físico y químico de las muestras en laboratorio, d) Diseño e interpretación de resultados en mapas y e) Socialización de los resultados a las autoridades del lugar y organizaciones sociales. Para determinar la aptitud de uso del suelo se empleó la metodología propuesta por la FAO (1976), esquema para la evaluación de tierras, que confronta las cualidades y los requerimientos del cultivo. De acuerdo a los datos obtenidos, la zona presenta áreas no aptas, marginalmente y moderadamente aptas y en menor proporción aptas para el cultivo. Las limitaciones nutricionales y morfológicas están el contenido de fósforo, calcio, magnesio, acidez, profundidad de la capa arable y el riesgo a inundaciones. La aplicación de enmiendas y/o fertilizantes incluye costos que determinan el costo de producción y, por otro lado, un manejo inadecuado podría ocasionar efectos en la calidad del suelo y el ecosistema.

El presente artículo discute algunas de las condiciones problemáticas previas a la postulación de una estética ambiental crítica que pudiese estar orientada a la comprensión de la devastación ecológica. En un primer momento se mostrarán los límites de la estética hermenéutica para analizar la precomprensión de la naturaleza en el arte, así como la necesidad de desarrollar una teoría sobre la movilización del espectador desde el arte. En un segundo momento se cuestionan las estéticas ambientales tradicionales que fundamentan la responsabilidad ética en los valores estéticos. Finalmente, se exponen algunas de las implicaciones políticas del uso de la categoría de lo sublime en los proyectos artísticos sobre el cambio climático y el Antropoceno.
