                <text>Los ciudadanos de América Latina se preocupan por las consecuencias del cambio climático más que los de cualquier otra región del mundo. Sin embargo, esta preocupación no siempre conduce a la priorización del medioambiente sobre el crecimiento económico. Este artículo argumenta que los constreñimientos económicos de los individuos condicionan la relación entre sus creencias acerca de la gravedad de las consecuencias del cambio climático y sus preferencias frente al dilema entre priorizar el medioambiente o el crecimiento económico. El análisis de encuestas del Barómetro de las Américas (Lapop) de 2016 en 18 países de América Latina, con modelos jerárquicos lineales y ecuaciones estructurales generalizadas, muestra que las creencias acerca de la seriedad de las consecuencias del cambio climático tienen un efecto positivo y significativo sobre la priorización del medioambiente entre los individuos con una riqueza patrimonial por encima de la media y un efecto negativo entre los individuos con riqueza patrimonial por debajo de la media. Este artículo hace dos contribuciones. Primero, el estudio analiza el efecto condicionado de la preocupación por el cambio climático sobre la priorización del medioambiente dependiendo de los constreñimientos económicos individuales. En segundo lugar, aporta a la investigación acerca de las actitudes medioambientales en América Latina.</text>

                <text>Este texto relata a experiência de uma pesquisa desenvolvida no ano de 2015 no Assentamento Boa Esperança, localizado no município de Alto Rio Novo/ES. O estudo objetivou compreender como se dá a produção de conhecimentos na auto-organização que se estabelece como processo educativo mediante saberes e fazeres que atravessam o cotidiano das famílias campesinas. Por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa com abordagem dialética, três unidades familiares foram investigadas e, a partir da análise dos dados coletados, constatou-se que os processos de auto-organização influenciam nos modos como cada família produz a sua sobrevivência e contribuem para uma formação humanística dos sujeitos envolvidos. As vozes dos sujeitos pesquisados evidenciaram que a auto-organização representa uma possibilidade de educação não escolar, pois ela favorece a produção e a propagação de saberes vivenciados na prática.</text>

                <text>Objetivando estudar o efeito da aplicação do biorregulador Stimulateïƒ¢ e X-Cyteïƒ¢ na uniformidade de brotação das gemas do cultivar de uva sem sementes Superior Seedless, podadas em 22/05/2006, realizou-se experimento na Fazenda Koshiyama (Juazeiro/BA). O experimento foi conduzido em blocos ao acaso com quatro repetições, cada repetição com três plantas úteis onde se avaliou seis varas por planta. Quarenta e oito horas após a poda de produção, as varas foram tratadas via pulverização com: T1: Dormexïƒ¢ (5%); T2: Dormexïƒ¢ (5%) + Nitro Plus 9ïƒ¢; T3: Stimulateïƒ¢ (0,5%); T4: Stimulateïƒ¢ (0,5%) + Nitro Plus 9ïƒ¢; T5: Stimulateïƒ¢ (1,0%); T6: Stimulateïƒ¢ (1,0%) + Nitro Plus 9ïƒ¢; T7: X-Cyteïƒ¢ (0,25%); T8: X-Cyteïƒ¢ (0,25%) + Nitro Plus 9ïƒ¢; T9: X-Cyteïƒ¢ (0,5%); T10: X-Cyteïƒ¢ (0,5%) + Nitro Plus 9ïƒ¢; T11: X-Cyteïƒ¢ (0,25%) + Stimulateïƒ¢ (0,5%); T12: X-Cyteïƒ¢ (0,25%) + Stimulateïƒ¢ (0,5%) + Nitro Plus 9ïƒ¢, sendo a aplicação de Nitro Plus 9ïƒ¢ na dosagem de 100 L ha-1 via fertirrigação. Os resultados obtidos neste trabalho com o uso de Stimulateïƒ¢ e X-Cyteïƒ¢, visando a uniformidade de brotação, não demonstraram efeitos significativos sobre o número de brotos após a desbrota e a porcentagem de ramos desenvolvidos, em comparação ao produto comercialmente empregado (Dormexïƒ¢), indicando estes produtos como alternativas ao Dormexïƒ’ no cultivo da uva 'Superior Seedless', nas condições estudadas.</text>

                <text>A utilização de compostos orgânicos tem sido uma boa opção para reduzir os gastos com fertilizantes minerais e obter aumento de produtividade no cultivo de alface. Entretanto, dada Ã  grande diversidade de matérias primas utilizada na preparação de compostos orgânicos, são necessários estudos para avaliar seus efeitos tanto sobre a liberação de nutrientes essenciais às plantas quanto sobre a liberação de substâncias contaminantes, como os metais pesados. O objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar a nutrição mineral, bem como contaminação por metais pesados, da alface crespa em solos tratados com doses e tipos de composto orgânico. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação, em blocos casualizados, em esquema fatorial 5x4, sendo cinco tipos de compostos orgânicos e quatro doses de nitrogênio (0, 35, 70 e 140 kg ha-1 de N), com quatro repetições. De maneira geral, as doses dos compostos estudados não foram suficientes para fornecer a quantidade necessária de nutrientes para a alface, com exceção das de nitrogênio. Não se observou elevação dos teores de metais pesados no solo, acima do permitido pela legislação brasileira. Além disso, compostos a base de esterco mais grama, e um composto comercial causaram aumentos nos teores de Zn nas plantas, a níveis acima do recomendado para o consumo.</text>

                <text>O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a produção de massa, teores e aporte foliares de adubos verdes, utilizados em região de altitude do Espírito Santo, adequados à implantação da prática de plantio direto de hortaliças sob manejo orgânico. Objetivou-se também avaliar a evolução da fertilidade do solo em decorrência de dois pré-cultivos de milho e crotalária (fevereiro 2009 e outubro 2009) e dois pré-cultivos de aveia preta e tremoço branco (julho de 2010 e maio de 2011). Este trabalho foi desenvolvido na Unidade de Referência em Agroecologia do INCAPER, em Domingos Martins-ES. Os tratamentos consistiram de uma testemunha (sem palhada) e três sistemas de produção de palhadas: 1) cultivo solteiro de gramíneas (milho ou aveia preta); 2) cultivo solteiro de leguminosas (crotalária ou tremoço branco) e 3) cultivo consorciado de gramíneas/leguminosas (milho/crotalária ou aveia/tremoço). Em fevereiro de 2009, a produção de massa verde do sistema milho e milho/crotalária atingiram 73,6 e 64,5 t ha-1, respectivamente. Em julho de 2010, a produção de massa verde nos sistemas tremoço e consórcio aveia/tremoço atingiram 76,3 e 88,3 t ha-1, respectivamente. Os adubos verdes em consórcio comprovaram ser excelente opção de manejo para sistemas orgânicos, por aportarem ao solo 811,4; 941,2; 263,5; 78,6; 51,9 kg ha-1 de N, K, Ca, Mg e S, respectivamente, valores estes iguais ou superiores aos pré-cultivos solteiros. Os efeitos dos pré-cultivos de adubos verdes sobre os atributos químicos do solo em manejo orgânico, excetuando-se o aporte de nitrogênio, foram semelhantes à testemunha em todas as épocas, possivelmente nivelados pela adubação de base com composto orgânico em todos os tratamentos, que mantém altos índices de fertilidade da área.</text>

Durante fines del Holoceno, las características ambientales de la Puna ofrecían posibilidades un poco diferentes a las actuales. Una cantidad extra de humedad parece haber sido la característica principal de estos cambios, afectando no solo al paisaje sino también a la biomasa regional. Por lo tanto, un acercamiento a esa realidad podría ser muy productivo para comprender y reconstruir algunos aspectos sobre los procesos de formación de fósiles. Este trabajo intenta una aproximación a la interacción entre ecología y tafonomía de vertebrados en ambientes extremos de la Puna Austral. El análisis tafonómico de los diferentes hábitats que forman la cuenca de Antofagasta de la Sierra brinda información acerca de la distribución espacial de los huesos de ciertos ungulados modernos y los efectos de ciertas variables ecológicas en la formación de los depósitos de huesos, como la proximidad a las zonas de humedad, contexto sedimentario y densidad de vegetación. Esta información es significativa para la interpretación tafonómica de la distribución de fósiles en los paleoambientes de la Puna Austral.</text>

                <text>La producción orgánica en Panamá tiene un gran reto garantizar la seguridad alimentaria del país. Se investigó el estado actual de la producción orgánica en Tierras Altas, provincia de Chiriquí para reconocer la sostenibilidad de la agricultura en la región. El estudio se llevó acabo en el año 2016. El objetivo fue caracterizar la producción orgánica de la región con la finalidad de estimar sus potenciales y limitaciones. Se registró en la selección aleatoria de nueve fincas agrícolas para la caracterización de 15 rubros agrícola producidos (Lactuca sativa, Allium schoenoprasum, Solanum lycopersicum, Solanum tuberosum, Phaseolus vulgaris, Zea mays, Brassica oleracea var. Capitata, Pisum sativum, Ocimum basilicum, Petroselinum crispum, Beta vulgaris, Daucus carota, Psidium guajava y Rubus ulmifolius). Se concluye que se debe apoyar a los agricultores en incentivos de producción y mejorar del mercado logístico de los rubros orgánicos para garantizar la seguridad alimentaria del país.</text>

                <text>Este proyecto trata de un robot que riega los cultivos mientras se moviliza con energía solar, que será almacenada en baterías, para que cuando el clima no le favorezca tenga energía para continuar trabajando. Además, tendrá la capacidad de detectar si hay personas en las parcelas, hacer un alto o cambiar la ruta y así poder evitar accidentes. El sistema también es capaz de detectar la temperatura cuando inicia el proceso de riego. Se ha decidido implementar la energía solar, ya que las máquinas utilizan petróleo que al quemarse generan grandes cantidades de desechos dañinos para el medio ambiente. Esto trae como consecuencia el cambio climático. la energía solar no contamina y es gratis, es por esto que tenemos que aprovechar esta fuente de energía renovable para capturarla y almacenarla. Aquí se transforman los fotones en energía eléctrica que usamos para darle vida a nuestro entorno y así no causaremos daños irreparables a nuestro medio ambiente.</text>

                <text>La producción de CO2, tiene un impacto negativo en el ambiente. Lo que lleva a optar por soluciones que puedan contrarrestar la emisión de este gas de manera eficiente. Este proyecto presenta la reforestación con la especie Paulownia Tomentosa, para mitigar el impacto atmosférico producido por los vehículos a motor existentes en las ciudades de Chitré, Provincia de Herrera y La Villa de los Santos, Provincia de los Santos, las cuales están ubicadas en el Arco Seco de la República de Panamá. Teniendo en cuenta la capacidad de absorción de dióxido de carbono que tiene la especie, la cantidad de vehículos dentro de las localidades estudiadas y los reservorios naturales existentes en la zona, los datos apuntan a que la cantidad de árboles a sembrar de esta especie es menor a 2000 plantones.</text>

                <text>A murcha bacteriana causada por Ralstonia solanacearum é considerada a principal doença de origem bacteriana no mundo. Centenas de espécies de plantas pertencentes a mais de 50 famílias botânicas têm sido relatadas como hospedeiras. Foi avaliada, em condições de casa de vegetação, a colonização radicular de alface, arroz, cebolinha, ervilha, pepino e soja, por seis isolados de Ralstonia solanacearum (Rs), biovares 1, 2 e 3. Estirpes dos isolados de Rs com resistência múltipla aos antibióticos estreptomicina, rifampicina e cloranfenicol foram utilizadas. A colonização foi avaliada 45 dias após a inoculação, através do plaqueamento de suspensão de trituração em meio de cultura semi-seletivo. A ervilha comportou-se como hospedeira de todos os isolados mas, apenas um isolado da biovar 3 foi patogênico a esta espécie. A soja apresentou populações elevadas de quatro isolados distribuídos entre as três biovares e o pepino, de apenas dois isolados das biovares 1 e 3. Exceto para o isolado que foi patogênico à ervilha, as plantas não apresentaram sintomas da doença, comportando-se como hospedeiras não suscetível. O arroz apresentou populações muito baixas de todos os isolados. Alface e cebolinha não hospedaram nenhum dos isolados inoculados. Os resultados mostram a capacidade de Rs colonizar e sobreviver em diferentes espécies de plantas como rizobactérias.</text>
