A atividade de proteases foi influenciada pelo local e pela profundidade de amostragem, tendo sido mais elevada na linha de projeção da copa e profundidade de 0-10 cm. A aplicação de fertilizante orgânico causou aumento na atividade de proteases, principalmente na camada de 0-10 cm. O coeficiente de correlação entre atividade de proteases e outros métodos para avaliação da disponibilidade de N dependeu da época, do local e da profundidade de amostragem. A correlação entre o N-foliar, obtido na época indicada para diagnose foliar, a atividade de proteases e as demais formas para avaliar disponibilidade de N (N-amoniacal, N-nitrato, N-autoclave e N-pot) variou com a época de amostragem. A atividade de proteases foi positiva e altamente correlacionada com o N-foliar, obtido na época indicada para fins de diagnose foliar, para amostras de terra retiradas nas entrelinhas (0-10 cm), no mês de dezembro/1998.The knowledge of the dynamics of the organic N compound mineralization in the soil is important for the efficient use of N in agricultural production systems. With the objective of evaluating the protease activity and its relations to the contents of different N forms in a Dark Red Latosol cultivated with orange trees, soil samples were collected from two depths (0-10 and 10-20 cm) under top projection and between rows in the months of November and December 1998 and February and March 1999. Leaves were also sampled in March 1999, the recommended time for leaf diagnosis. Soil samples were evaluated for protease activity, ammonium-N, nitrate-N, total-N, ammonium-N obtained after anaerobic incubation, and ammonium-N extracted by CaCl2 under autoclaving. Organic fertilization increased protease activity mainly in the layer 0-10 cm. The correlation coefficient between the protease activity and the other methods for estimating N availability depended on the sampling time, place and depth. The correlation between leaf-N determined at the time indicated for leaf diagnosis and the other methods for estimating N availability altered according to the sampling time. Os experimentos foram realizados em casa de vegetação, em blocos casualizados, com três repetições de cinco plantas por tratamentos, com os tratamentos dispostos em fatorial de 4x1 (1 controle; 2 doses de AJ e 1 dose do filtrado). A avaliação das plantas foi realizada 80 dias após a aplicação de AJ e o fermentado. Plantas controle de Capsicum produziram 6,4 frutos/planta enquanto que plantas tratadas com 25,0 e 50,0 mg L-1 de AJ produziram 7,2 frutos/planta e 9,2 frutos/planta, respectivamente e plantas tratadas com o fermentado produziram 11,7 frutos/planta. Adicionalmente, plantas controle de Physalis produziram 10,5 botões/planta e quando tratadas com 25,0 e 50,0 mg L-1 de AJ produziram 15,5 e 16,0 botões/planta, respectivamente. Plantas tratadas com o fermentado dobraram a produção de botões/planta (23,0) quando comparados ao controle. Resultados obtidos validam o potencial fitorregulador do AJ e do fermentado contendo jasmonatos, comprovado pelo aumento na produção de frutos e botões florais pelas espécies vegetais testadas, evidenciando assim o potencial de uso deste fermentado como alternativa de menor custo ao AJ obtido comercialmente.Jasmonic acid (JA) and its jasmonate derivatives are endogenous hormones produced by numerous plant species that interfere on plant defense mechanism and act as stress signaling. The aim of this work was to compare the plant growth regulator potential of a fermented broth, obtained by the fermentation of the filamentous fungus Botryosphaeria rhodina, containing jasmonates to the action of the jasmonic acid used as standard. Selected seeds of Capsicum frutescens (pimenta malagueta) and Physalis angulata (camapú) were planted in soil containing mineral and organic fertilizer. Thirty seven days after germination seedlings were sprinkled with two different concentrations of JA (25.0 and 50.0 mg L-1) and with the jasmonate-containing fermented broth (corresponding to 50 mg L-1 of JA). Water was used as control. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse in a completely randomized block design, with three replications with five plants and treatments applied to a 4x1 factorial (1 control; 2 doses of JA and 1 dose of filtrated). The evaluation of seedlings was performed 80 days after scattering with JA and the fermented broth. Capsicum control plants produced 6.4 fruits/plant, while plants sprinkled with 25.0 and 50.0 mg L-1 JA produced 7.2 and 9. 2 fruits/plant respectively and plants sparged with the fermented broth produced 11.7 fruits/plant. Moreover, Physalis control plants produced 10.5 buds/plant and when sprinkled with 25.0 and 50.0 mg L-1 JA produced 15.5 and 16.0 buds/plant respectively. Plantlets sparged with the fermented broth doubled the production of buds/plant (23.0) when compared to the control. The results obtained validate the growth regulator potential of JA and of the fermented broth on the tested plants, evidenced by the increased production of fruits and flower buds by the plant species tested. Thus, the fermented broth of the fungus Botryosphaeria rhodina is a lower cost alternative to commercially obtained JA. Verificou se, ainda, uma crescente inserção da produção no mercado regional por meio da evolução positiva dos preços e pela facilidade de comercialização.The forest activity was analyzed in the counties of Telêmaco Borba, Ortigueira, Reserva, Imbaú and Tibagi, state of Paraná. The selection was based in the plantation of the species of Eucalyptus sp and Pinus sp which constitute an important forest base. 131 silviculturists were interviewed to identify and describe the forest activity. The production system and its technical, economic and social dimensions were analyzed. Results showed that the forest covering occupies an expressive portion of the area, and the production presents a current tendency towards the purpose of the multiple use of the wood and the inclusion of the familiar agriculture in the productive process of wood. It was also observed the silviculturists’ use of technology, with an awareness of establishing an adequate forest management for the sake of production quality and the consumer’s interest. Moreover, an increasing insertion of the production in the regional market was noticed, particularly through a positive evolution of prices and the market acceptance. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar as alterações nos atributos microbianos de um solo cultivado com café após aplicação de diferentes doses de dejetos líquidos de suínos tratados em sistema de lagoas de estabilização em série. O estudo foi realizado na Fazenda Yamaguchi em um Argissolo Vermelho Amarelo no município de Diamantina, Minas Gerais. Os tratamentos foram constituídos de aplicação de 0, 125, 250, 500 kg ha-1 N na forma de efluentes e 250 kg ha-1 de sulfato de amônia (convencional) em solo cultivado com café. As amostras de solo foram coletadas, na camada de 0-10 cm de profundidade, nas seguintes épocas: antes, 30, 60 e 90 dias após a adubação. Foram avaliados a produção do cafeeiro, a respiração basal e o carbono da biomassa microbiana, e determinado o quociente metabólico. As amostras de 60 e 90 dias após a adubação apresentou diferença em relação à amostra controle, favorecendo incrementos na biomassa e na atividade microbiana. Observa-se que a aplicação de 125 kg de N ha ano-1 ano-1 de DLS é a melhor dose, por apresentar produção significativamente equivalente à produtividade de grãos da dosagem de 250 kg de N ha ano-1 de SA. Desse modo, em longo prazo, as aplicações consecutivas de dejetos líquidos de suínos, em solo cultivado com café, tendem a melhorar os atributos microbianos do solo. The emissions have been estimated using a bottom-up methodology in the maneuver and hoteling phases, by vessel type, from 2005 to 2020. Maritime traffic in Mexico’s Pacific zone contributes approximately with 60% of the country’s total ship emissions, with the remaining 40% in Gulf-Caribbean ports. The highest atmospheric emissions were found at the Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas ports on the Pacific coast, as well as the Altamira and Veracruz ports on the Gulf-Caribbean coast. The contribution of the atmospheric emissions by vessel type at Pacific ports was Container 67%, Bulk Carrier 32%, Tanker 0.8%, and RoRo 0.4%. For Gulf-Caribbean ports it was Container 76%, Bulk Carrier 19%, Tanker 3%, and RoRo 2%. This study incorporates the International Maritime Organization implementations on reductions of sulfur content in marine fuel, from 4.5% mass by mass from 2005 to 2011, to 3.5% from 2012 to 2019, to 0.5% beginning in 2020. Overall, sulfur dioxide emissions were reduced by 89%. Although there are several clinical guidelines, many of their recommendations cannot be universal since they depend on the characteristics of each region. Thus, we decided to create a consensus guideline on atopic dermatitis applicable in Latin America and other tropical regions, taking into account socio-economic, geographical, cultural and health care system characteristics. The Latin American Society of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (SLAAI) conducted a systematic search for articles related to the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of dermatitis using various electronic resources such as Google, Pubmed, EMBASE (Ovid) and Cochrane data base. We have also looked for all published articles in Latin America on the subject using LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences) database. Each section was reviewed by at least two members of the committee, and the nal version was subsequently approved by all of them, using the Delphi methodology for consensus building. Afterward, the nal document was shared for external evaluation with physicians, specialists (allergists, dermatologists and pediatricians), patients and academic institutions such as universities and scienti c societies related to the topic. All recommendations made by these groups were taken into account for the nal drafting of the document. There are few original studies conducted in Latin America about dermatitis; however, we were able to create a practical guideline for Latin America taking into account the particularities of the region. Moreover, the integral management was highlighted including many of the recommendations from different participants in the health care of this disease (patients, families, primary care physicians and specialists). This practical guide presents a concise approach to the diagnosis and management of atopic dermatitis that can be helpful for medical staff, patients and their families in Latin America.
