                <text>Despite being a generalist or multidisciplinary sociologist, I do frequent certain specialties more often than others. The fields of study which have been my priority are gender, politics, age, the family, culture and sociological theory. And to describe the inner workings of my research process there is nothing better than to refer to the development of my studies on gender relations, to which I have been dedicated during the last 30 years, since I received my degree in sociology in 1977 with an undergraduate thesis on couples and the cognitive structure of desire (Útero, Deseo y Safo, unpublished [The Uterus, Desire and Sappho]). Subsequently, I have published four books in this field (La mujer cuarteada [Woman fractured] in 1991, El nuevo sexo débil [The new weaker sex] in 1997, Medias Miradas [The Hidden Gaze] in 2000 and Máscaras masculinas [Masculine masks], in 2006), as well as diverse articles. Today I continue, embarked on this same line of research, as I prepare my next book projected to be published with the title El capital sexual [Sexual capital]. To explain such a stubborn insistence on this object of cognitive desire I could say that it is all due to a certain sexual obsession, whose repeated frustration has been sublimated into a social-scientific interest and dressed up with a patina of academic respectability. Therefore, willing to publically reveal my research strategies, I have opted to expose my most unconfessable mental habits to focus, not on the production of a particular work, but rather on the progressive development of a work in progress; one that has been accompanying me throughout my academic life as if I were leading an unsuspected but covetous and stimulating double life. This is my most valuable sexual capital.Pese a ser un sociólogo generalista o multidisciplinar, frecuento algunas especialidades con preferencia sobre las demás, siendo mis campos de estudio preferidos el género, la política, la edad, la familia, la cultura y la teoría sociológica. Y para describir la trastienda de mi proceso investigador, nada mejor que referirme a la gestación de mis estudios sobre relaciones de género, a los que me vengo dedicando a lo largo de mis últimos 30 años, desde que en 1977 me licencié en sociología con una Tesina sobre el emparejamiento y la estructura cognitiva del deseo (Útero, Deseo y Safo, inédita). Para explicar tan porfiada insistencia en este objeto de deseo cognitivo podría decirse que todo se debe a una cierta obsesión sexual, cuya reiterada frustración se habría sublimado en sentido científico-social para revestirla con una pátina de respetabilidad académica. Por ello, puesto a revelar en público mis estrategias investigadoras, he optado por desnudar mis hábitos mentales más inconfesables para centrarme no en la fabricación de una obra singular sino en el progresivo desarrollo de una obra en marcha, que me viene acompañando a lo largo de mi biografía académica como si llevara una doble vida insospechada pero codiciosa y estimulante.                 <text>Se presenta en este artículo una síntesis de la auditoria contratada por el Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar con la Universidad Industrial de Santander, para analizar si las raciones de alimentos servidas en las instituciones de protección especial al menor se ajustan a los parámetros nutricionales exigidos por la entidad estatal. Durante el primer semestre de 1999 se pesaron 419 raciones servidas a 287 hombres (68,50%) y 132 mujeres (31 ,50%). Expresadas en nutrientes y comparadas contra los requerimientos específicos de acuerdo con la ración, género, edad, actividad física y condición fisiológica, los resultados pueden resumirse así: la adecuación aceptable estuvo entre 8 y 14%. Las mujeres tienen cuatro veces más clasificación de adecuación 'normal (18,94%)' y la mitad de la de 'exceso (32,58%)' que los hombres. La adecuación  por calorías no presentó diferencias (p = 0,1660). El promedio de adecuación para proteínas en hombres fue de 158,97%, mientras que para mujeres fue de 120,36% (p = 0,0022). El desayuno presenta exceso de proteínas y déficit de calorías, los refrigerios son deficitarios para los dos nutrientes, en el almuerzo hay exceso de calorías y proteínas mientras que en la comida presentan déficit. Según los autores, es necesario auditar el componente alimentario de los contratos en el programa de protección al menor, con términos de referencia más ampliospues, según el caso estudiado, el contrato no se cumple según las especificaciones.</text>

                <text>Digital technologies advancements have reshaped the framework of  the  traditional  classroom  and  taken  educational  curriculum  to  a  different  new  level.  More  than  ever,  the  education  systems  all  over  the  world,  strongly  affected  by  the  shock  of  the  COVID-19  crisis,  need  to  rely  on  innovation  and  digital resources. Augmented Reality (AR) technology can enable educators and students  to  access  specialised  materials  beyond  time  and  space.  This  paper  presents a systematic review of literature on AR in education in the last 3 years. In  total  30  research  papers  were  analysed  in  this  review,  by  using  the  content  analysis  method.  Further  research  topics  concerning  the  affordances  of  AR  applications in education have been identified.</text>

                <text>In disasters such as the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to use all available resources to bolster our healthcare workforce. Many factors go into this process, including selecting the groups of professionals we will need, streamlining their licensing and credentialing processes, identifying appropriate roles for them, and supporting their health and well-being. The questions we must answer are these: How many staff will we need? How do we provide them with emergency licenses and credentials to practice? What interstate licensing compacts and registration systems exist to facilitate the process? What caveats are there to using retired healthcare professionals and healthcare students? How can we best avoid attrition among and increase the numbers of international medical graduates? Which non-clinical volunteers can we use and in what capacities? The answers to these questions will change as the crisis develops, although the earlier we address them, the smoother will be the process of using augmentees for the healthcare system.</text>

                <text>Este texto lança um olhar sobre o cenário da pandemia de Covid-19 no início de 2020, período que ocasionou profundas transformações na sociedade e reconfigurações no campo da educação musical. É apontada uma diferenciação entre ações de ensino remoto realizadas de forma emergencial e a educação a distância (EAD), quando aplicada com planejamento, pedagogias específicas e condições tecnológicas favoráveis. Na Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), instituição que serve como base para as reflexões aqui apresentadas, há um processo bem elaborado e estruturado na Licenciatura em Educação Musical, oferecido na modalidade a distância em parceria com o projeto Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB). Em contrapartida, diversas instâncias da instituição discutiram ações emergenciais para lidar com a necessidade de distanciamento social, utilizando recursos tecnológicos como apoio. A partir do contexto pandêmico, emergiram também debates em vários âmbitos na internet, promovendo discussões no sentido de lapidar aulas on-line de instrumentos musicais. Percebe-se nesse contexto o surgimento de um novo paradigma, no qual a comunicação síncrona, por meio de softwares de videoconferência, poderá ter um papel mais relevante do que tinha em modelos de trabalho anteriores, como no exemplo do curso UAB. O presente trabalho oferece elementos específicos para aulas on-line de bateria, buscando a superação de adversidades não somente no período de enfrentamento do Covid-19, mas também para desafios que permanecerão no pós-pandemia.</text>
