Aos 155 dias após a semeadura foi retirada a cobertura e aos 189 as mudas foram avaliadas pelos seguintes parâmetros: comprimento da parte aérea, número de folhas verdadeiras, diâmetro de caule, comprimento de raízes, área foliar, biomassa seca e fresca das raízes e parte aérea. Conclui-se, portanto que, a utilização de thiamethoxam, triadimenol e Stimulate® não demonstraram promover o desenvolvimento das mudas de cafeeiro, entretanto os tratamentos com thiamethoxam associado ou não ao Stimulate® apresentaram menor concentração de água na biomassa fresca do sistema radicular podendo este resultado ter relação com o teor salino do produto. Desta forma mais estudos são necessários para demonstrar a ação destes produtos no desenvolvimento de mudas de cafeeiro. However, the occurrence of leaf silvering caused by the whitefly, Bemisia tabaci biotype B, limits production, causing losses to farmers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of plant extracts on the population levels of whitefly nymphs on the squash cv. Jacarezinho. The experiment was conducted at an experimental field, in a randomized block design consisting of six treatments and three replications. Além disso, algumas espécies são sensíveis ou tolerantes à poluição orgânica. Aqui testamos a hipótese de que a composição de espécies varia conforme o gradiente de eutrofização. Buscou-se estabelecer os possíveis fatores ambientais responsáveis pela variação na distribuição das espécies. Esse estudo teve como objetivo caracterizar a comunidade zooplanctônica e relacionar os dados com a qualidade da água em reservatórios do Estado de São Paulo. Amostras foram coletadas através de arrasto vertical por meio de rede de plâncton (68 (m) em sete corpos d’água. Todos os espécimes foram identificados através de literatura específica e contados em camâra de Sedgwick rafter. Os dados bióticos e abióticos foram analisados através da análise de correspondência canônica. Um total de 67 táxons foram encontrados, sendo Rotifera o predominante. No geral, os reservatórios apresentaram condições eutróficas, principalmente Salto Grande, Barra Bonita e Broa. Os resultados apontaram que os rotíferos Trichocerca longiseta (Schrank, 1802), Hexarthra sp., Brachiounus spp. e Keratella tropica (Apstein, 1907) seguiram o gradiente de eutrofização. Além desses, microcrustáceos como Notodiaptomus, Mesocyclops, Metacyclops e Diaphanossoma ocorreram em reservatórios eutróficos. Por outro lado, os cládoceros Ceriodaphnia cornuta (Sars, 1886) e Bosminopsis deitersi Richard, 1895 foram considerados indicadores de melhor qualidade devido à relação com águas mais transparentes. Os resultados apontam que algumas espécies do zooplâncton são efetivas para o monitoramento ambiental sem descartar as análises físico-químicas e biológicas. Objetivo: Analisar a evolução dos indicadores sobre a COVID-19 no Nordeste do Brasil e correlacioná-la ao nível de isolamento social registrado em cada estado nordestino. Método: Trata-se de um estudo transversal com dados coletados a partir de painéis epidemiológicos do Ministério da Saúde e da Universidade de São Paulo acerca do número de casos e óbitos e, também, da empresa de geolocalização Inloco que calculou os níveis de isolamento social no Brasil. As variáveis analisadas foram: taxa de incidência, taxa de mortalidade, coeficiente de letalidade e índice de isolamento social. Resultados: Os indicadores são interdependentes e há certa correlação entre os níveis de isolamento social e as taxas de incidência e mortalidade, sendo correlações fracas ou moderadas. In this work, climatic variables are linked to the temporal evolution of the water status of the vine Methods and Results: Within-season time-series of predawn leaf water potential from previous studies across 8 seasons in the south of France were collated. Meteorological data were also collected at each site. A stepwise linear regression model was developed to predict the mean predawn leaf water potential of a vineyard block at a given date from climatic variables and time. Variables selected were growing degree days, short-term humidity and temperature effects. Application of the stepwise model to an independent data set, collected at the other two research sites, produced a linear response but required a local calibration at each site. Conclusion: The analysis demonstrated that climatic variables can be used for predicting the temporal evolution of vine water stress in non-irrigated vineyards. Significance and impact of study: The modelling can assist with within-season crop management and future vineyard planning/development in non-irrigated regions. In irrigated vineyards the application is more restricted but it may be used to identify when to start irrigation. This study investigates if these relationships exist at the inter-field level when soil types between fields are constant or different in a vineyard in Southern France. Method and result: Nine fields were sampled for ΨPD on 6 dates over two growing seasons. When general assumptions of uniformity in climate, growing conditions and soil moisture were able to be met, a linear relationship between the mean ΨPD responses of different fields was observed. The relationship was no longer linear when the soil moisture regime between fields differed. Conclusion: The results indicate that it should be possible to extrapolate a reference ΨPD value across a production region (syndicate/co-operative) defined on a similar soil type. Significance and impact of study: These intra-field relationships may minimise the need for ΨPD sampling to define irrigation/crop management in areas planted to similar soil types. The poor fit between fields with differing soil moisture regimes indicates that the original intra-field model may be flawed in larger fields or vineyards with heterogeneous soil moisture conditions.
