Adicionalmente, la aplicación de estas técnicas microbiOMICAS en diferentes sistemas de producción, ha dado cuenta del potencial de intervenciones nutricionales y de manejo que puedan modular el microbioma animal para mejorar la efciencia de estos sistemas. Estrategias para modular el microbioma animal cobran una importancia crítica, en vista de los retos en sostenibilidad, seguridad alimentaria, equilibrio ambiental y producción limpia, que como investigadores en ciencias pecuarias, afrontamos hoy en día. Esta conferencia tiene como objetivo principal presentar una perspectiva actual sobre la influencia del microbioma en los sistemas de producción animal. Se hará énfasis en los mecanismos moleculares que sostienen el eje animal-microbio-dieta, y en la relación indisoluble entre nutrición, inmunidad (salud) y producción. This effect could be exacerbated by ocean acidification and warming, both caused by rising concentrations of atmospheric CO2. Along the Chilean coast, upwelling supports highly productive fisheries and aquaculture activities. However, during recent years, there has been a documented decline in the national production of the native scallop Argopecten purpuratus. We assessed the combined effects of temperature and pCO2-driven ocean acidification on the growth rates and shell characteristics of this species farmed under the natural influence of upwelling waters occurring in northern Chile (30°S, Tongoy Bay). The experimental scenario representing current conditions (14°C, pH ~8.0) were typical of natural values recorded in Tongoy Bay, whilst conditions representing the low pH scenario were typical of an adjacent upwelling area (pH ~7.6). Shell thickness, weight, and biomass were reduced under low pH (pH ~7.7) and increased temperature (18°C) conditions. At ambient temperature (14°C) and low pH, scallops showed increased shell dissolution and low growth rates. However, elevated temperatures ameliorated the impacts of low pH, as evidenced by growth rates in both pH treatments at the higher temperature treatment that were not significantly different from the control treatment. The impact of low pH at current temperature on scallop growth suggests that the upwelling could increase the time required for scallops to reach marketable size. Mortality of farmed scallops is discussed in relation to our observations of multiple environmental stressors in this upwelling-influenced area. En México existen dos lagos de alta montaña (> 3,800 m snm): La Luna y El Sol, en el cráter del Nevado de Toluca. Análisis de parámetros químicos y de diatomeas en sedimentos superficiales permiten identificar que La Luna es más ácido y menos mineralizado que El Sol y que a pesar de su proximidad geográfica cada lago tiene un conjunto de diatomeas característico, con menor abundancia y riqueza específica en La Luna. En este lago dominan Encyonema perpusillum y Psammothidium helveticum y en El Sol Cavinula pseudoscutiformis , Psammothidium levanderi y Aulacoseira distans. Con base en esta distribución se interpreta el registro de diatomeas de una secuencia sedimentaria de La Luna, de 57 cm, fechada con 210 Pb y 14 C en la que también se realizaron análisis de contenido de cladóceros y de susceptibilidad magnética. Todos estos indicadores permiten ubicar el inicio de una tendencia hacia climas secos y fríos alrededor de los años 1350 y 1510, que corresponde a la Pequeña Edad de Hielo (PEH), la cual tiene su máxima expresión entre los años 1660 y 1760, durante el mínimo de actividad solar de Maunder. Las características ambientales de sequía y frío se observan hasta principios del siglo XX. La comparación de este registro con otros disponibles permite concluir que durante la PEH hubo una tendencia regional en el centro de México hacia climas secos. ABSTRACT: This teaching experience seeks to propose an organizational knowledge management model for the training program developed by the Agrometeorology Department of the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INAI, in Spanish) of the State of Anzoátegui, Venezuela. The problem solution protocol deriving from the application of learning cycles, TADIR (Translation, Analysis, Design, Implementation and Revision), was used. An array of different ways to promote activities, tasks, results, and products generated by the project was established before, during and after the execution in an easy and complete manner. The population was also made aware of the advantages of agrometeorology and its importance for the agricultural development of the country. La propuesta presenta un diseño de campo no-experimental de corte transversal ajustado a un estudio de tipo proyectivo. Se aplicó un muestreo aleatorio simple con resultado de 67 ONG (N = 80). El diagnóstico fue derivado a través de una escala con consistencia interna (α = 0,95; p < 0,05). El Modelo Orientativo de la Planificación Territorial Sostenible de la Minería fue ensamblado siguiendo las asociaciones significativas entre sus componentes, los impactos socio-ambientales de la minería (W = 0,936; γ = -0,867; p < 0,01), y con respecto a la gestión de riesgo de desastres (d = 0,947; γ = 1,000; p < 0,01). El estudio concluyó que el Modelo mitiga directamente las causas que gestan a los impactos socio-ambientales negativos y fomenta, mediante sus ejes transversales, la reducción de riesgos en los espacios mineros. Pasturebased production is important for the social, environmental and economic implications where sustainability plays a prominent role because it meets both the needs of present and future generations. The aims of this review article were the following : to show the progress and application of the sustainability concept focused on pastures, and to relate indicators for the measu-rement of pasture sustainability in the tropics. This article describes the sustainability, the indicators for sustainability, the pastures in the humid tropics of the Amazon region, the sustainability applied to pastures, and finally, provides indicators and metrics to evaluate sustaina-bility in pastures. In conclusion, a sustainable pasture must provide benefits to the soil, the plants, and the animals, as well as provide livelihoods to the family that manages the system through appropriate management practices that allow the resilience of the pasture system and the conservation or improvement of natural resources for present and future generations. Este artículo aborda la cobertura mediática del cambio climático y del calentamiento global en España a través del seguimiento de la presencia de estos términos en El País, El Mundo y La Vanguardia desde enero de 2000 hasta noviembre de 2014. Metodología. A partir de datos de la Universidad de Colorado y de Google Trends, se completa un análisis comparativo de las agendas mediática y ciudadana. Resultados. La cobertura en España presenta una tendencia similar a la prensa internacional occidental, si bien existen episodios particulares que las diferencian. Los hitos más importantes remiten a eventos políticos internacionales, acuerdos internacionales, informes científicos del Panel Intergubernamental sobre Cambio Climático y al documental An Inconvenient Truth. Discusión y conclusiones. La agenda internacional condiciona la agenda nacional, si bien el contexto general evidencia una pérdida de presencia del cambio climático en medios impresos, a pesar de la creciente acumulación de la creciente evidencia empírica acerca del riesgo medioambiental.
