<text>This study aims to analyze the operation of institutional food market in the context of Vale do Rio Pardo, through a case study of the Cooperativa Leoboqueirense de Agricultores Familiares - COOPERLAF. The starting point is the consolidated and predominant presence of the tobacco supply chain in this region, which involves consider the institutional food market (through the PAA and the PNAE) as a concrete possibility of productive diversification of family farming. It appears that the inclusion of family farmers in institutional food market through COOPERLAF is enabling the opening of new sales channels and income generation, reducing the dependency level in relation to tobacco production. Thus, from a conceptual perspective of repeasantization, it is suggested that the SAN public policies represent the opportunity for an endogenous regional development and, therefore, sustainable, in the Vale do Rio Pardo, based on the value of family farming as healthy food producers.</text>

<text>The aim of this paper is to analyze the opening of the family farm to the market, and from this reality to verify the importance of the constitutional guarantee of unseizability of small farms, paying attention to important aspects regarding to the interpretation of the Judiciary. Considered for methodological issues of this article, documentary research along with an analytical-descriptive analysis based on secondary data as laws and jurisprudence which were collected on governmental websites. The Federal Constitution of 1988, in an unprecedented manner, established the small farm, since exploited by the family, as well absolutely unseizable to debts generated as a result of their productive activity. The importance of family agriculture for the country has been verified and it has been shown that the judiciary in its bodies comes, as a rule, participating in the maintenance of the family farmer in the small rural property, without losing it due to its debts, made in view of its productive activity, applying not only the constitutional principles, but also the infra-constitutional legislation.</text>

<text>This article is a result of the research and technological extension work related to the Project entitled 'The use and appropriation of ICTs by family farmers in the Vale do Caí - RS', financed by the edict of MCTI/CNPq, FAPERGS and UNISC, developed in Partnership with EMATER/ASCAR-RS, the Union of Rural Workers, the rural schools located in the Vale do Caí, the students of the Graduation Administration and Accounting Sciences courses of the Campus of Montenegro/UNISC and the doctoral students of the Postgraduate Program in Regional Development. This article refers to a literature review of the production carried out by the project team and aims to demonstrate the interrelations between the use and appropriation of ICTs and family agriculture. It was identified that only the access of the families of farmers to the new technologies and an adequate infrastructure does not guarantee, in itself, the use of the ICTs. It is concluded that the appropriation of ICT by family agriculture depends on a process of mediation and social interface between the University and society, requiring interdisciplinary work teams, resources for the extension, projects with long-term maturity, without time limits and of goals. In addition, it is emphasized that the understanding of the symbolic universe and the everyday life of the farmers must be the starting point.</text>

The research has a qualitative approach and was carried out based on the selection of the municipalities that presented the largest number of family farmers in the region, according to the 2006 Census of Agriculture: Montenegro, Bom Princpio, Brochier, Marat, So Sebastio do Ca, Salvador do Sul, Pareci Novo e Feliz. The present article presents preliminary results of 293 semi-structured interviews with farmers who have access to ICT, later tabulated with the help of the SPSS. There is a need for mastery and knowledge appropriation for the more intensive use of ICT, since access of the analyzed farmers is still superficial and does not contribute to the appropriation of the technology.</text>

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy has led to a diagnostic delay of several malignancies and the impact of this delay has likely been underestimated. Paratesticular leiomyosarcoma represents a very rare subtype of sarcoma. Here we describe a 57-year-old man who presented to the emergency department with dyspnea and a voluminous mass in the right paratesticular region. At the appearance of the scrotal mass 9 months prior, he had refused to undergo a urological evaluation due to fear of contracting COVID-19. We present this case for its histological rarity and to document a case of diagnostic and therapeutic delay during the pandemic in Lombardy. Keywords: COVID-19, leiomyosarcoma, mass of the testis, diagnostic delay, pandemic</text>
