Exclusion criteria: known hypersensitivity to colchicine; known hepatic failure; estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)450 msec. Participants will be recruited from inpatients at Labbafinejad Meidcal Center , Tehran, Iran. Intervention and comparator Eligible enrolled patients will be randomized into two groups. Group A will receive the antiretroviral Lopinavir/Ritonavir (Kaletra) while group B will receive Lopinavir/Ritonavir (Kaletra) + Colchicine 1.5 mg loading then 0.5 mg twice daily orally. All patients in both groups will receive the same amounts of essential minerals, vitamins as antioxidants, and antibiotics. At the same time, Poland is a country where the political decisions of the government over the last few years have resulted in a significant limitation of the possibilities of renewable energy development. These actions have also resulted in lowering the profitability of the currently operating renewable energy enterprises, especially those from the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises. An opportunity for SMEs operating in the renewable energy sector is to merge into industry purchasing groups. The aim of the article—and at the same time the research question—is: Is it financially safer for renewable energy companies to operate within purchasing groups compared to companies operating independently in this industry? Traditional ways of purchasing can be transferred to integrated purchasing systems, which will be created by purchasing groups associating renewable energy companies. For this purpose, the financial effects of the implementation and functioning of the purchasing groups in the renewable energy sector in relation to entities operating independently were examined. In the research of renewable energy SMEs, a comparative analysis of key indicators determining the possibility of continuing the activity of these entities was made. The following indicators were examined: current financial liquidity ratio, return on sales, operating cycle, cash conversion cycle, share of receivables in current assets, share of inventory in current assets, turnover ratios, level of receivables, liabilities and profitability. The scientific literature is dominated by studies on purchasing groups in the pharmaceutical and construction industries. Thanks to the research conducted, it has been indicated that the renewable energy industry can also improve its profitability, and thus the possibility of safe continuation of operations by extending the business model to inter-entity cooperation within purchasing groups. Increasing the efficiency of individual entities of the renewable energy industry within purchasing groups becomes particularly important during the COVID-19 pandemic. The recent COVID-19 pandemic caused widespread anxiety worldwide with health-related, economic, and social burdens. The aim of this study is to determine the sleep-related perturbances and the level of anxiety in a Turkish population and compare the outcomes between the genders and working status of the subjects during the COVID-19 pandemic.Methods: We performed a phone-based cross-sectional semi-structured questionnaire on 100 adult volunteers in May 2020. Sociodemographic data, the responses for ten questions on sleep performance and their level of anxiety and life satisfaction were noted and reported. Results: Male subjects reported a higher incidence of change in their waking hours, and an increased need for sleep during daytime (P=0.008). The anxiety level was significantly higher among female subjects, and the main causes of the anxiety were different between the two groups (P=0.035, P<0.001, respectively). Female subjects described a higher rate of change in their well-being (P<0.001), and the overall scores for well-being and life satisfaction were significantly lower among the females (P<0.001). The non-working group had an increased incidence of severe anxiety and an increased ratio of change in their lifestyle in comparison to usual (P=0.006, P<0.001, respectively). Conclusions: To our knowledge, this report is the first survey analysis on anxiety and sleep performance following the COVID-19 infections in Turkey. We report a high incidence of impaired sleep status, change of lifestyle, satisfaction, and increased anxiety in the population independent from the gender and current working status. Justified by the sigmoidal nature of a pandemic, i.e., initial exponential spread to eventual saturation, and an agent-based model, we apply the GM to existing data, as of 2 April 2020, from 25 countries during first corona pandemic wave and study the model’s predictions. We find that logarithmic daily fatalities caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) are well described by a quadratic function in time. By fitting the data to second order polynomials from a statistical χ 2 -fit with 95% confidence, we are able to obtain the characteristic parameters of the GM, i.e., a width, peak height, and time of peak, for each country separately, with which we extrapolate to future times to make predictions. We provide evidence that this supposedly oversimplifying model might still have predictive power and use it to forecast the further course of the fatalities caused by Covid-19 per country, including peak number of deaths per day, date of peak, and duration within most deaths occur. While our main goal is to present the general idea of the simple modeling process using GMs, we also describe possible estimates for the number of required respiratory machines and the duration left until the number of infected will be significantly reduced.
