Se ha realizado una investigación cuantitativa con una muestra de 858 estudiantes, a través de un cuestionario demoscópico conformado por 43 preguntas cerradas. La hipótesis de investigación es: si no existe diferencia significativa entre las RS sobre CC en los dos grupos de estudio, cabe pensar que es la cultura común la que configura en mayor medida dicha RS. Los resultados muestran que este colectivo construye una RS del CC limitada a su dimensión biofísica con presencia de conceptos difusos, sin identificarse diferencias significativas entre las RS de los grupos. La investigación es descriptiva-documental empleando la revisión bibliográfica de fuentes secundarias. Entre los resultados se destaca que parte de las soluciones que este organismo brinda, a través de tal convenio, se han tergiversado para el crecimiento de los países industrializados, evadiendo así la posibilidad de mitigar los gases de efecto invernadero que afectan a todos. Se concluye que el protocolo de Kioto logró políticas que consiguieran reducir o mitigar las emisiones, sin embargo su impacto en la tendencia ha sido muy baja, pues algunos países se rehúsan a adquirir las obligaciones del mismo, además de existir mecanismos para la mitigación de emisiones que aún son cuestionables, se enfrentan al crecimiento e interés económico dejando por debajo el interés social y medioambiental. Aunque la cuenca del río Sado conforma casi un tercio de la superficie continental de Portugal, aún no había recibido la debida atención para el Paleolítico. Antes de este proyecto, prácticamente nada se conocía acerca de la Prehistoria de dicha cuenca, incluyendo la llanura de Alentejo. Nuestros resultados indican una baja densidad de población durante el Paleolítico Medio, rastro de ocupaciones del Paleolítico Inferior y casi ninguna evidencia de ocupaciones asociadas al Paleolítico Reciente. A partir de los datos obtenidos, se desprende un modelo en el que se evidencia que, hacia finales del Paleolítico Medio, hubo una discontinuidad en la ocupación, probablemente asociada a cambios climáticos o del uso del territorio.
