PsA1TA coloniza estructuras membranosas de tórax y abdomen con microcolonias aleatoriamente distribuidas que desarrollan a extensas biopelículas mono y biestratificadas, al cubrir cuatro veces la amplitud toracoabdominal (envergadura infectiva entre 1010 µm a 1036 µm). En contraste, CoA2CA envuelve radialmente estructuras esclerotizadas cefálica y anal al triplicar la amplitud de tales órganos (1820 a 2030 µm y 1650 a 1860 µm, respectivamente). Las biopelículas ejercieron mortalidad diferenciada a todos los estadios larvales, no obstante, PsA1TA resultó más mortal y virulento en el segundo estadio larval (58 %-96 horas, TL50: 3,4 días), mientras que CoA2CA lo fue en el cuarto estadio larval (85 %-96 horas, TL50: 2,5 días). En el estudio se evaluó el efecto de diferentes concentraciones de resina de Jatropha curcas en el control de larvas de Hypsipyla grandella Zéller, para el efecto en un Diseño Completamente al Azar (DCA), en esquema de parcelas subdivididas, se evaluaron cinco tratamientos, en tres repeticiones y 10 discos foliares de S. macrophylla por unidad experimental. Las parcelas principales consistieron en cinco concentraciones (%) de resina de J. curcas: T1:0; T2: 10; T3: 20; T4: 30; y T5: 40 y las subparcelas en los tiempos de evaluación (horas): 6, 12, 18 y 24 en el transcurso del día. Como variables medidas se incluyeron el consumo del disco foliares-CDF (%), el incremento de consumo foliar-ICF (%), la sobrevivencia-SL (%), la mortandad – ML (%), el número de orificios foliares-NOF y actividad larval-AL (%). La resina de J. curcas en concentración de 40% ocasiona en larvas de H. grandella una mortalidad de 67% y una actividad larval < 30%). Los resultados indican que las concentraciones de extracto de J. curcas ocasionaron efectos significativos en todas las variables evaluadas, no obstante, las concentraciones menores fueron menos eficientes en el control de larvas. Finalmente, se seleccionaron cinco criterios prioritarios: inversión social, imagen y confianza, prioridades de los proyectos, apalancamiento de recursos – aliados y rentabilidad social, diseñándose siete indicadores. Los resultados indican que las empresas mineras definen y utilizan indicadores concentrados en el desarrollo de las actividades y avance de metas de cada proyecto (operativos o de resultados esperados), sin establecer mediciones de conceptos de impacto social. Díaz Leguizamón, Joanna Croce Description An account of the resource Los incendios forestales en bosques montañosos pueden modificar las tasas de infiltración y de escorrentía, lo cual aumenta el arrastre de sedimentos ladera abajo. Por lo tanto, es urgente diseñar e implementar técnicas de control de sedimentos en laderas incendiadas. Una metodología sencilla y económica es la construcción de fajinas (i.e., una empalizada de forma cilíndrica construida con ramas trenzadas). Nuestro objetivo fue evaluar la efectividad de colocar distintos números de fajinas (0, 2 y 3) en distintas posiciones de la laderapara controlar el arrastre de sedimentos en una ladera quemada (Serranía de Tres Cerritos, Salta-Argentina). Encontramos que a mayor número de fajinas, y ubicándolas en las partes bajas e intermedias de la ladera, el perfil de cenizas fue más profundo, lo que evidencia un mejor control del arrastre de sedimentos. Si bien el costo logístico de construir un sistema con hileras de 3 fajinas es un 50% más altoqueotro con 2 hileras de fajinas, la ganancia en el control de sedimentos al trabajar con 3 fajinas fue superior enun 64%. Recomendamos implementar un sistema con 3 (o más) fajinas para controlar el arrastre de sedimentos y la erosión del suelo en laderas quemadas en próximos eventos de incendios en bosques secos de montaña. Así mismo el norte paceño (Yungas) se caracteriza por presentar producción orgánica en cacao y reconocida para poder realizar exportación a otros países con un valor agregado. Los rendimientos en cacao en estas zonas productoras sufre daños considerables a causa de la plaga denominada chinche del cacao (Monalonion dissimulatum Dist.) que causa daños en la mazorca de cacao. Por lo cual la investigación se dirigió principalmente al control  del  chinche en el cultivo de cacao y se enfocó en una producción orgánica, evaluando el grado de efectividad de tres bioinsecticidas a base de; Solimán (Hura crepitans), Ajo ajo de monte (Gallecia integrifolia), tabaco deshidratado (cigarrillos) que se aplicó en parcelas  afectadas por esta plaga La eficacia de los tres bioinsecticidas tuvo una variación, donde la sabia de solimán (árbol forestal)  fue el mejor controlador de  la chinche presentando una incidencia de fase ninfal del  14.3% y en fase adulta de  9.82% esto comparación del testigo sin bioinsecticida, el cual presento  incidencia en fase ninfal 55.2% y adulta 28.9%.  Así mismo el número de mazorcas que murieron a causa de picaduras del chiche cacao en el Testigo presento mayor número de mazorcas muertas a razón de 7 mazorcas por árbol, por otro lado en los tratamientos donde se utilizó Solimán se vio menor número de mazorcas muertas por picadura de chiche de 3 mazorcas por árbol, siendo el más efectivo en el control de esta plaga.
