En este sentido, y con el objetivo de integrar a la comunidad académica y a las cadenas productivas nacionales a los últimos avances en Colombia en la investigación de productos naturales y sus aplicaciones potenciales en las industrias farmacéutica, nutracéutica, cosmética y agropecuaria, el Grupo de Investigación en Sustancias Bioactivas de la Facultad de Química Farmacéutica de la Universidad de Antioquia, realiza el XI Congreso Colombiano de Fitoquímica, Medelln-2011. El desarrollo de la investigación fitoquímica en Colombia, y el avance en la formación universitaria en esta área de conocimiento y sus potencialidades, se convierten en la llave de oro para el estudio y aprovechamiento de los productos naturales orientado al desarrollo social del país. Por estas razones, se han convocado Centros y Grupos de Investigación e investigadores internacionales y nacionales adscritos a instituciones y entidades públicas y privadas, que aporten con sus experiencias investigativas en algunas de las principales temáticas del Congreso, y nos permitan vislumbrar un futuro mejor. Las temáticas en torno a las cuales versará el Congreso cubren aspectos tales como el aislamiento biodirigido y la bioprospección, la farmacología de productos naturales con nuevas aplicaciones terapéuticas, los aceites esenciales, las aplicaciones de los productos naturales en cosméticos, alimentos y agroindustria, la evaluación analítica de plantas medicinales, la biotecnología de productos naturales, la etnofarmacología y la hemisíntesis de productos naturales. Finalmente, con más de 10 plenarias internacionales y conferencistas nacionales de reconocida trayectoria investigativa en el campo de los productos naturales, con más de 250 trabajos presentados por investigadores de 41 Universidades Nacionales y 13 Internacionales, se pretende que el XI Congreso Colombiano de Fitoquimica, consolide entre los académicos, empresarios y visionarios relacionados con el sector, estrategias para el aprovechamiento sostenible de nuestros recursos naturales. Esta necesidad es más perentoria en el caso de los países en vías de desarrollo, y cuando se trabaja en la gestión de recursos naturales. Es el caso del grupo de investigación del Laboratorio de Ecología de Comunidades de la UNAM. En él se desarrollan diversos proyectos de investigación con el objetivo de analizar el efecto de la explotación humana en el funcionamiento del ecosistema. Los resultados de estos estudios son tomados como base para generar, junto con los habitantes de la zona, modelos de desarrollo sustentable. En el presente estudio se identificaron los núcleos de reproducción caracterizando sus poblaciones. Para ello se realizó un muestreo anual en los ríos Los Patos y San Antonio, estableciéndose un total de diez sitios, registrándose pH, temperatura y conductividad eléctrica en los cuerpos de agua. Se empleó la técnica de encuentro visual (TEV) para la detección de los individuos. Se establecieron tres categorías de desarrollo larval, prometamórfico (G1), premetamórfico (G2) y clímax metamórfico (G3). Se identificaron seis núcleos reproductivos, cuatro en río San Antonio y dos en río Los Patos. Las tres especies actuales son el remanente de un grupo que alcanzó su máxima diversificacion durante el Mioceno, incluyendo cinco especies simpátricas descritas en la Formación Pisco, Ica-Arequipa, Perú. Entre estas se incluyen formas piscívoras, bénticas, así como carnívoros de tamaño medio e hipercarnívoros. Se reportan dos dientes aislados provenientes del Mioceno superior de las localidades de Sacaco y Sacaco sur, que corresponden con la morfología típica de Physeteridae. Esta morfología dentaria es similar a la de taxones presentes en el hemisferio norte como Orycterocetus o Aulophyseter del Mioceno medio. Debido a esto se presume que los restos corresponderían a physetéridos con hábitos piscívoros, que quizás poseyeron un desarrollo incipiente de la capacidad de succión. La presencia de este linaje indicaría que a fines del Mioceno los parientes de los modernos Physeter y Kogia compartieron el mar peruano con formas extintas, sin solapamiento de nichos debido a la morfología altamente derivada de cada grupo. Este nuevo registro expande la comunidad de cetáceos fósiles de Sacaco, que se vio favorecida por la gran diversidad de ambientes poco profundos que dominaron el litoral peruano hasta el establecimiento final del Sistema Humboldt. En el presente estudio se determina la mortandad de anfibios, reptiles, aves y mamíferos por atropello, en tres carreteras que confluyen en el distrito de Tambogrande (Piura en el norte de Perú) y establecer los sitios de mayor incidencia. Los datos se colectaron entre enero y junio de 2018 en 24 recorridos una vez por semana entre las 7:00 y 14:00 horas. Los recorridos se realizaron sobre una moto lineal a 25 km/h, los datos registrados fueron coordenadas geográficas del punto de atropello principalmente. La mortandad de vertebrados en los transectos se analizó usando el Índice Kilométrico de Abundancia. Los sitios de alta incidencia de atropellos se determinaron con un análisis de densidad de Kernel. Se hallaron 437 animales atropellados pertenecientes a 29 especies. Los animales atropellados más abundantes fueron los mamíferos seguidos de aves, reptiles y anfibios. El IKA promedio fue de 0.2 (IC 95% 0.1 – 0.3) N° de atropellos/Km. Se presentaron 24 puntos de alta incidencia en el área de estudio cercanos entre sí. Utilizando la información de este trabajo se sugiere construir ocho pasos de fauna para vertebrados según estándares internacionales y complementados con señalética adecuada. Visando avaliar a ação desses impactos sobre a comunidade fitoplanctônica através da comparação com estudos realizados antes na área, foram analisadas amostras de plâncton coletadas em uma estação, durante um ciclo de 24 horas, nos períodos chuvoso (agosto/90) e seco (janeiro/91). As amostras foram coletadas pela técnica do fracionamento e com rede de plâncton de 65mm de abertura de malha. Coletas de parâmetros hidrológicos foram realizadas concomitantemente. Foram identificados 97 táxons, destacando-se como espécies muito freqüentes nos períodos chuvoso e seco: Gyrosigma balticum, Oscillatoria princeps, Chaetoceros lorenzianus, Climacosphenia moniligera e Licmophora abbreviata. A densidade fitoplanctônica variou entre 142.000 cels.l-1 a 1.789.000 cels.l-1 predominando a fração do nanofitoplâncton. O maior florescimento ocorreu no período seco, nos horários de maior insolação e maré enchente. A diversidade específica foi alta (> 3 bits.cel.l-1) explicada pela heterogeneidade ambiental. A comunidade fitoplanctônica apresentou mudanças quali-quantitativas após a implantação do Porto. Agora, predominam espécies marinhas litorais, devido à pequena profundidade e elevado hidrodinamismo na área e um decréscimo de 70% na densidade celular, ao contrário do que ocorria antes da construção do Porto, quando foi detectado a maior ocorrência de espécies marinhas planctônicas e maior número de células/litro. It causes significant losses in commercial interest crops in America and is a potential risk in the European Union. The nematicidal and phytotoxic activities of seven plant extracts against N. aberrans and Solanum lycopersicum were evaluated in vitro, respectively. The chemical nature of three nematicidal extracts (EC50,48h ≤ 113 µg mL−1) was studied through NMR analysis. Plant extracts showed nematicidal activity on second-stage juveniles (J2): (≥87%) at 1000 µg mL−1 after 72 h, and their EC50 values were 71.4–468.1 and 31.5–299.8 µg mL−1 after 24 and 48 h, respectively. Extracts with the best nematicidal potential (EC50,48h < 113 µg mL−1) were those from Adenophyllum aurantium, Alloispermum integrifolium, and Tournefortia densiflora, which inhibited L. esculentum seed growth by 100% at 20 µg mL−1. Stigmasterol (1), β-sitosterol (2), and α-terthienyl (3) were identified from A. aurantium, while 1, 2, lutein (4), centaurin (5), patuletin-7-β-O-glucoside (6), pendulin (7), and penduletin (8) were identified from A. integrifolium. From T. densiflora extract, allantoin (9), 9-O-angeloyl-retronecine (10), and its N-oxide (11) were identified. The present research is the first to report the effect of T. densiflora, A. integrifolium, and A. aurantium against N. aberrans and chemically characterized nematicidal extracts that may provide alternative sources of botanical nematicides.
