Las agendas nacionales y locales deben considerar los escenarios del cambio climático y su impacto en evapotranspiración. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar la distribución espacial de la ETP, el periodo de crecimiento en las condiciones climáticas actuales en todo el país y en escenarios de cambio climático, para contar con elementos técnicos suficientes que permitan recomendar acciones de adaptación para la producción agrícola nacional. La ETP mensual se estimó a partir de la ETP de referencia (ET0) por el método de Penman-Monteith. Con este parámetro y la precipitación (P) media mensual se evaluó la fecha de inicio, fin y duración del periodo de crecimiento. Se estudiaron 28 escenarios de cambio climático para definir la alteración de la ETP y su efecto en los PECRE de las zonas agrícolas del país. Se espera que la ETP aumente prácticamente en todo el territorio nacional como consecuencia del incremento generalizado de la temperatura y la disminución de la humedad relativa. Las clases de ETP menores de 1000 mm anuales disminuirán, mientras que las mayores a 1000 mm aumentarán en promedio 20% en el horizonte medio (2040-2069) y casi 50% hacia el horizonte lejano (2070-2099). Al considerar el cambio climático en el PECRE por estado, se observó que en tres de ellos (Baja California Sur, Coahuila y San Luís Potosí) no habría cambio respecto a las condiciones actuales. En el resto de los estados se reducirá el PECRE debido a una combinación de cambio en el inicio y el final del periodo de crecimiento. Los estudios cartográficos permiten realizar el análisis espacial de los resultados, mismos que deben integrarse en la planificación del uso agrícola del agua. Paralelamente hacen posible avanzar en el diseño de medidas de adaptación al cambio climático con un sólido fundamento técnico. El N2O ha sido responsable por el 5% del GEI (gas efecto invernadero) total en los últimos 100 años. En la ganadería dominicana se utilizan diversos fertilizantes nitrogenados y enmiendas para aumentar la productividad de estos sistemas. Sin embargo, si estos fertilizantes no son bien manejados pueden generar emisiones de N2O. Por lo tanto, se realizó la investigación con el objetivo de cuantificar las emisiones de N2O provenientes de un forraje de pastoreo con bovinos de leche. Se utilizó una pastura de bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon) de Casa de Alto, República Dominicana. Se realizó el estudio durante el periodo junio - agosto de 2018. Se usó un diseño de parcelas sub divididas completamente al azar, con tres factores, cuatro repeticiones y tres tratamientos (orina, urea, y control). Se utilizaron cámaras de PVC de flujo cerrado para la obtención de las muestras de gases y se determinaron las emisiones de N2O. Además, se registraron los factores climáticos, nitrógeno (N) en orina, suelo y pasto y se analizaron los datos con el programa estadístico InfoStat. Las emisiones de N2O fueron en promedio de 0.56 mg L-1 para el control, 1.02 mg L-1 para la orina y 1.18 mg L-1 para la urea. Solo el tratamiento con urea resultó estadísticamente diferente al testigo (P < 0.05). Las emisiones fueron de 5.6, 10.2 y 11.8 kg ha-1 para el testigo, la orina y urea, respectivamente. Siendo las emisiones altas en comparación con los resultados obtenidos en otras investigaciones en el país. Este estudio construye las bases para un proceso de transición agroecológica con el fin de aportar a la garantía de la SAN en familias agricultoras del resguardo indígena Muisca de “Fonquetá y Cerca de Piedra” en Chía-Cundinamarca (Colombia). Se analizaron las limitaciones y potencialidades del contexto territorial y las familias agricultoras, para emprender un proceso hacia la transición agroecológica, que se concibe como un proceso complejo de cambio desde una forma convencional de producir alimentos hacia una forma alternativa de agricultura sostenible de base agroecológica. Se planteó una metodología participativa con enfoque mixto que identificó categorías de análisis a partir de un marco de análisis para la SAN con enfoque agroecológico. El trabajo se realizó con 13 familias del resguardo indígena dedicadas a la agricultura familiar con un total de 45 personas. El 23% de los predios familiares se encuentra sembrado con cultivos alimentarios, aromáticas, medicinales y/o plantas de uso ritual y se ubican en general en estadías iniciales de la transición, aunque algunas presentan fortalezas en etapas avanzadas. A pesar de las situaciones negativas como la falta de apoyo económico desde el cabildo o el municipio y la escasez de personas para cultivar, existe un interés marcado por producir alimentos conservando el ambiente y su cultura, así como un conjunto de saberes que deben ser promovidos desde el resguardo indígena para repensar la SAN desde la colectividad. Se concluye la necesidad de dar un giro en el concepto institucional de la SAN abordado en este estudio, hacia el concepto de Soberanía Alimentaria, dado su carácter holístico, sistémico, situado, integrador y de derechos que promueve la transición agroecológica. Ante estos desafíos, algunos estudios y prácticas indagados en el artículo pulsan las posibilidades de renovar los enfoques y métodos de la planificación urbana. El interrogante es cómo planificar una forma urbana sensible simultáneamente con los sistemas ambientales y sociales que soportan los espacios construidos. Trajo de nuevo al centro del debate la confrontación entre la soberanía alimentaria del campo establecida en 1996 frente a las políticas de seguridad alimentaria. Todo ello dejó ver que la crisis civilizatoria que experimenta la humanidad es más grave de lo que se piensa y la incertidumbre se presentó como padecimiento generalizado. El objetivo de este estudio recae en explicar que la confrontación entre la soberanía alimentaria del campo y la seguridad alimentaria citadina se mantiene en la coyuntura del Gran Confinamiento mundial. En efecto, por una parte, se analiza el contexto que permitió comprender mutaciones de lo prohibido a lo ordenado, en el binomio campo-ciudad, visibles en la disputa por los espacios públicos y en la búsqueda incesante por la apropiación del campo en México; y por otro, se focaliza en el espacio, al que se le identificó una doble función: garante de la reproducción de vida y centro de abastecimiento citadino.
