A través de un estudio de caso de la asociación Asoquimad, en Madrid, Cundinamarca, el artículo identifica una serie de determinantes territoriales que subyacen a las trayectorias laborales de mujeres que buscan, en escenarios periurbanos, hacer un tránsito del trabajo en la agroindustria floricultora al trabajo cooperativo en economías agroecológicas y solidarias de pequeña escala. El caso ilustra cómo dinámicas globales, regionales y locales se intersectan en la delimitación de las opciones laborales de estas mujeres en un contexto de transformación y disputa de lo rural. La lectura de las limitantes enfrentadas por las mujeres posibilita una comprensión más profunda del trabajo, así como de sus articulaciones específicas con las transformaciones periurbanas.</text>

                <text>Para analizar los efectos del cambio climático sobre la fisiología de las plantas es necesario considerar varios factores ambientales y su interacción con los procesos fisiológicos de las plantas. El objetivo de esta revisión fue presentar el conocimiento actual de las investigaciones relacionadas con los efectos del cambio climático sobre la fisiología de las plantas. Se han abordado los efectos del incremento de CO2, temperatura, agua (déficit y exceso hídrico) y ozono, sobre el crecimiento y el desarrollo de varias especies cultivadas. El incremento de la temperatura generará problemas de erosión genética y conducirá a la extinción de muchas especies vegetales; las altas temperaturas pueden afectar adversamente la fotosíntesis, la respiración, las relaciones hídricas y la estabilidad de las membranas, la regulación hormonal y el metabolismo secundario de las plantas. La fotosíntesis neta, se incrementa progresivamente con el aumento del CO2, en particular, en especies C3, pero a altas temperaturas, se reduce por efecto del aumento en la fotorrespiración. La exposición al ozono (O3) disminuye la difusión estomática, la tasa fotosintética, afecta la partición de asimilados y, en general, reduce el crecimiento de las plantas.To analyze the effects of climate change on plant physiology is necessary to consider various environmental factors and their interaction with physiological process. The objective of this review is to present the current knowledge of research related to climate change effects on plant physiology. This review covers the effects of increased CO2, temperature, water (water deficit and excess water) and ozone on growth and development of various crop species. The temperature increase will generate problems of genetic erosion and lead to the extinction of many plant species, high temperatures can adversely affect photosynthesis, respiration, water relations and membrane stability, hormone regulation and secondary metabolism plants. Net photosynthesis increases gradually with the increase of CO2, especially in C3 species, but at high temperatures is reduced because of increased photorespiration. Exposure to ozone (O3) reduces stomata diffusion, the photosynthetic rate, affects the partition of assimilates and generally reduces plant growth.</text>

                <text>El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo conocer las actitudes hacia el ambiente de estudiantes universitarios que previamente cursaron una materia de ecología y biodiversidad. Se realizó en la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, México, con una muestra de 52 estudiantes de ambos sexos, a través de un Cuestionario de Actitudes Ambientales. El 84.6 % mostró buena actitud y 15.4 % moderada actitud proambiental. Tres consideraciones presentaron mayor frecuencia en su mención: (a) que el gobierno ejerza mayores medidas para prevenir la contaminación, (b) que el gobierno proporcione una lista de dependencias para denunciar las quejas sobre contaminación y (c) que las escuelas deben impartir cursos de conservación de recursos naturales. Se concluye que los y las estudiantes cuentan con un comportamiento ambientalmente significativo; y que además no existe diferencia según sexo.</text>

                <text>Senecio vulgaris L. es una maleza, considerada de difícil control cuando se asocia a la zanahoria, debido a que compite por recursos con el cultivo, siendo importante su control, ya que tiene un impacto negativo en la productividad. La modelación biológica es una herramienta que permite prever los posibles efectos del control de la especie, ya que identifica las diferentes variables de un sistema y los factores que las afecta, para de este modo, predecir los resultados en diversos ambientes. Con base en la dinámica de sistemas y los aspectos morfo-fisiológicos de la especie, se planteó la modelación del banco de semillas de S. vulgaris, basado en las ecuaciones planteadas por Fernández-Quintanilla, donde se construyó el diagrama Forrester, al que se le incorporaron las diferentes ecuaciones y valores del modelo, para proyectar la dinámica de la especie en el banco de semillas, dependiendo del manejo. Se propusieron tres escenarios: (1) control con herbicidas en post-emergencia, (2) rotación de cultivos y (3) incorporar los métodos culturales de control, con un testigo en pre siembra y rotación de cultivos. Los resultados del modelo muestran que cuando se realiza rotación de cultivos y se incorporan manejos en pre-siembra al proceso convencional de la especie, se presenta una menor cantidad de semillas en el banco.</text>

                <text>O presente artigo trata do modelo de desenvolvimento econômico predominante no sistema capitalista e aponta as consequências ambientais negativas que decorrem desse e afetam as regiões globais periféricas. Para tanto, realizou-se um resgate histórico que abrangeu as práticas dos países imperialistas na modernidade e observou-se a degradação ambiental no âmbito internacional. Ademais, adotou-se o método de abordagem materialista histórico-dialético e o instrumental teórico marxista para a análise da crise socioambiental, com o auxílio de documentação indireta enquanto técnica de pesquisa. Em sede conclusiva, verificou-se que a territorialização dos impactos ambientais negativos é um efeito intrínseco ao capitalismo imperialista no período globalizado, que especialmente ocorre em detrimento dos países pobres e pode ser explicada em razão de relações de exploração social e ambiental ao longo da história, que culminaram no arranjo sociopolítico e econômico internacional da contemporaneidade.</text>

                <text>The manuscript reflects the opinion of the authors about the need for a hydromorphological approach for the management of Chilean rivers. A brief state-of-the-art of the recent scientific advances on hydromorphological approach to river management is presented, as well as a general overview of the conditions of Chilean rivers and the mayor disturbances they suffer. Moreover, the need to take into account both direct and indirect services provided by rivers in the decision making process on river management is underlined. Hydromorphology is claimed to be a main element to be considered while assessing the ecological state of rivers. Understanding how the hydrological and morphological variables interact dynamically is indeed key to assess the presence or absence of dynamic equilibrium, a condition that, in turn, promotes both habitat diversity and self-sustainable aquatic and riparian ecosystems. The authors also emphasized the need for a change of paradigm in current Chilean rivers management practices, by developing a unified framework to assess hydromorphological and ecological river conditions. In addition, the implementation of specific legislation aimed at promoting ecological and geomorphological standards in river management practice, and the strengthening and widening of the academic teaching of fluvial ecology and geomorphology is suggested.El manuscrito refleja la opinión de los autores acerca de la necesidad de aplicar un enfoque hidromorfológico para la gestión de los ríos chilenos. Se presenta una breve reseña de los últimos avances científicos sobre el enfoque hidromorfológico en la gestión de ríos, así como una visión general de las condiciones de los ríos chilenos y sus mayores perturbaciones. Por otra parte, se hace énfasis en la necesidad de incluir en la toma de decisiones los servicios directos como los indirectos proporcionados por los ríos. Se afirma que la hidromorfología es un elemento fundamental a considerar al determinar el estado ecológico de los ríos. La comprensión de cómo las variables hidrológicas y morfológicas interactúan de forma dinámica es sin duda clave para evaluar la presencia o ausencia de un equilibrio dinámico, una condición que, a su vez, fomenta tanto la diversidad de hábitat como el desarrollo sostenible de los ecosistemas acuáticos y ribereños. Los autores concluyen que es necesario cambiar el paradigma actual de gestión aplicado en los ríos chilenos desarrollando una estrategia que permita evaluar las condiciones hidromorfológicas y ecológicas de los ríos. Además, sugieren implementar legislación específica orientada a promover estándares ecológicos y geomorfológicos en la práctica de gestión, con el apoyo de un fortalecimiento y una ampliación de la enseñanza académica de la geomorfología y ecología fluvial.</text>

                <text>Resumen: El presente estudio tiene como objetivo determinar la factibilidad de emplear energía geotérmica para cultivar productos en invernaderos de pequeña escala contribuyendo a la seguridad alimentaria, reducción de pobreza y conservación del páramo. Como parte de la metodología, se desarrolla un modelo matemático para diseñar el invernadero que cuenta con un intercambiador de calor de tubería sin aletas. Se escoge al tomate riñón como caso de estudio para determinar la factibilidad financiera. La energía geotérmica es considerada que proviene de manantiales que fluyen naturalmente odel flujo excedente de aplicaciones actuales o futuras como balnearios, centrales eléctricas, entre otras. El tamaño del intercambiador de calor es determinado del balance de energía del invernadero considerando pérdidas por la cubierta, paredes e infiltración de aire. Adicionalmente, se dimensiona la estructura del invernadero y el sistema de irrigación-fertilización. Después de calcular los indicadores financieros para diferentes escenarios, este estudio concluye que es técnicamente y financieramente factible producir tomates de invernadero utilizando un intercambiador de calor de PVC.     Abstract: This study establishesthe feasibility of using geothermal energy to heat small scale greenhouses to improve food security, poverty reduction and páramo conservation. As part of the methodology, a mathematical model is established to design the greenhouse which has a heat exchanger made of pipe without fins. Tomatoes are chosen as a case study crop and geothermal energy considered to come from naturally occurring hot springs or surplus from existing or future applications such as pools and power plants. The heat exchanger´s power is determined from an energy balance for the greenhouse considering cover losses and air infiltration. The greenhouse structure and irrigation-fertilization system are sized so the financial feasibility could be determined. After calculating the financial indicators for different scenarios, this study concludes that is technically and financially feasible to produce greenhouse tomatoes using a heat exchanger made of PVC.</text>

                <text>Con el presente artículo, pretendemos adentrarnos en la reflexión de cómo diversos aspectos tales como la generosidad, la ecología y el silencio pueden impactar positivamente en los discentes de nuestros sistemas educativos. Se propone, por tanto, una manera de mirar el mundo con atención y cuidado. A través de las intervenciones didácticas de los docentes, se puede incidir de manera directa en los discentes como “usuarios” del mundo como seres sociales para mantener una influencia importante en el futuro de nuestro planeta y de nuestras sociedades. Al fin y al cabo, el docente, como elemento activo de los contenidos educativos, puede contribuir de manera consciente para mejorar lasalud social y el bienestar de las comunidades humanas en nuestra época. Por tanto, resulta esencial que los procesos didácticos respondan a unos diseños que se centren en aspectos que redundarán en mejores individuos, mejores sistemas sociales y una ecología más equilibrada para todos.</text>
