                <text>The epidemic coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has infected millions of people and put a huge amount of stress on the health-care system. Health-care professionals, including dental professionals, are at a high risk of acquiring COVID-19. Therefore, extra precautions need to be implemented for routine dental infection control procedures. It is encouraged to have a written reminder in the form of a checklist to recall these crucial steps, especially when nonroutine procedures must be followed. The aim of this special communication is to present a proposed mnemonic or memory-recall, user-friendly checklist to be used in the dental clinic during the COVID-19 outbreak. The checklist was created following the guidelines for reopening dental services in governmental and private sectors during the COVID-19 pandemic that were published by the Ministry of Health on June 5, 2020. Based on the patient's score and the urgency of the dental situation, specific steps should be followed. When the patient's score is ≥ 4 and needs an emergency aerosol-generating procedure, REDS steps should be recalled. Further, MRS steps must be followed if the patient's score is &lt; 4. For both groups, GAMES can be followed when personal protective equipment is needed before the patient examination and HD steps should be applied after finishing the dental procedure. In conclusion, this written reminder in the form of a checklist can be helpful for a safe dental practice during pandemics to recall the crucial nonroutine steps. We recommend that the dental staff place those steps as a written reminder in an accessible, visible place.</text>

Historically, the current pandemic is not the first one which happen in the world. Spanish flu’s outbreak in 1918 had killed more than 50 millions worldwide. However, there would be a different response on environment, lifestyle, society, and technology between the past and the current pandemic. The urgent requires for coping pandemic challenges the humanity in terms of effort regarding to vaccine, medicine, health supplement, medical device development and innovation. Those efforts are purposed not only for the medication, but also the for the prevention, specifically for the initial diagnostic. Blessed with a massive biodiversity, Indonesian society wisely utilize their local wisdom by consuming the herbal potion, to increase their immunity system as their first line response. Besides the prevention of Covid-19 protocol, Indonesia actively elaborates with another country to discover the vaccine and other beneficial aspects. The establishment of Covid-19 pandemic mitigation and national economic recovery, by the means of presidential regulation (Perpres) No. 82/2020, signals the synergy effort of economic recovery and health programme. In addition, to promote the scientific manner of society, government issues the presidential instruction (Inpres) No. 06/2020. Those regulations are believed will boost the new normal adaptation process.</text>

                <text>The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated a shift to new ways of working, prompting companies to reimagine how, where and by whom work gets done (World Economic Forum &amp; Watson, 2020). This shift was already under way with the technological changes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Employers are looking for workers who are able to learn new knowledge and skills, adapt to the workplace, be sufficiently flexible to move jobs, and expand on the knowledge learnt at university. Applying the theory of generic competences and the model of thirteen generic competences for university graduates of the Tuning Asia - South East project (TASE), this research investigates the perspectives of VNU stakeholders about the generic competences of VNU graduates. In particular, this paper discusses the employers’ perspective of VNU graduates’ generic competences. Although employers rate all generic competences as important, they evaluated graduates’ achievement of seven generic competences as being at a less than satisfactory level. The findings of the research point to the need for the university to focus more on developing generic competences throughout the delivery of programs.</text>

All patients with ALLI and COVID-19 infection, between November 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020, were retrospectively identified and reviewed.Results: A total number of 1300 COVID-19 patients were admitted to KAUH during the period of the study. Seven patients (0.54%) had ALLI. Of them, 5 were males (71.4%) with a mean age of 68 &amp;plusmn; 3 years and 2 were females (28.6%) with a mean age of 58 &amp;plusmn; 7 years. Five patients (71.4%) were admitted as COVID-19 infection and developed ALLI during hospitalization, all of them were males, had COVID-19 related pneumonia, and died within 24 hours of ALLI diagnosis. While 2 patients were presented with ALLI and found to have positive COVID-19, all of them were females, underwent successful thrombo-embolectomy, and had no deaths, however, one of them had recurrent ALLI which resulted in below knee amputation.Conclusion: The prevalence of ALLI in patients infected with COVID-19 was 0.54%. We observed that patients with COVID-19 related pneumonia who develop ALLI during hospitalization had a high mortality.Keywords: ALLI, COVID-19, KAUH</text>

                <text>The article deals with the problem of sustainability of modern cities in the context of the implementation of the concept of a “smart city”, the combination of the technologies of which acts as an innovative factor in the development of modern urban infrastructure. The characteristics of the main elements of the “smart city”, digital technologies used in its creation are given. The methodology and results of a comparative analysis of the urban digital infrastructure of the world’s megacities in the context of COVID-19 are presented. The assessment of the global and Russian market of smart city technologies is given, trends and prospects of digital development of a modern city are identified as the most important factor in ensuring its sustainability. Recommendations are formulated for the development of solutions in the field of digitalization of urban space, taking into account the opinions of scientists and specialists in the field of management, socio-economic and humanitarian sciences. It is noted that efficiency and safety should become a priority in the implementation of smart city projects.</text>

The extant research contribution has been dedicated to examining the impact of climate indicators such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall. However, there is a lack of evidence regarding their combined association between environmental quality and climate indicators to combat COVID-19 in the South American context.Methods: In this study, we collected data for environmental pollution indicators for the South America region, and correlation analysis and wavelet transform coherence were used as the analytical tools.Results: Empirical estimates conclude that PM10, NO2, CO, and O3 are significant factors in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in South America.Implications: Our findings will serve as policy implications for the state, health officials, and regulators to combat the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in South America.Keywords: Coronavirus, COVID-19, environmental pollution, South America</text>

                <text>During the new coronavirus pandemic, schools were closed suddenly in almost every country in the world, and education services continued with the distance education solutions. However, the consequences of the school closures, maintaining education services via distance education and the deprivation of other services provided by schools have not been adequately evaluated. In this study, the effects of school closures and distance education on families and students during the Covid-19 pandemic were reviewed. Parental involvement, physical and technological possessions at home, digital literacy levels of students and parents have become the main factors that determines the efficiency of distance learning during the pandemic. As a result, there is a possibility that inequalities in education will increase more in pandemic. Inequalities in education had an important impact on the unemployment and loss of income, learning loss of students and psychological conditions, reaching healthy nutrition, need for special education, and fragile students. Although distance education was considered as an opportunity to reduce learning loss of students due to school closures during the pandemic, unfortunately it also made possible to increase the inequalities in education during the pandemic period.</text>

                <text>Abstract Background Herbal medicinal products have a long-standing history of use in the therapy of common respiratory infections. We sought to assess the potential of five validated herbal extracts regarding their ability to restrict SARS-CoV-2 replication in vitro: Bronchipret thyme-ivy (BRO TI), Bronchipret thyme-primrose (BRO TP), Imupret (IMU), Sinupret extract (SINx) and Tonsipret (TOP). Methods Vero cells were incubated with different concentrations of herbal extracts and infected with SARS-CoV-2 for 48 hours. The inhibition of viral replication was assessed by determination of the viral RNA load in the cell culture supernatant using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). Results SARS-CoV-2 RNA load was reduced by non-cytotoxic concentrations of BRO-TP (up to approximately 1,000-fold) and, to a lesser extent, IMU and TOP (approximately 10-fold). Conclusions Some herbal extracts showed a promising in vitro effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2, suggesting an antiviral potential of herbal medicinal products. The potential of herbal medicines to restrict SARS-CoV-2 and to treat COVID-19 should be investigated further in a clinical setting.</text>

Se ha hablado ampliamente de las recomendaciones médicas para priorizar la atención sanitaria de pacientes críticos o la distribución equitativa de recursos bajo la amenaza de saturación de los servicios. No obstante, se ha prestado mínima atención a la soledad inevitable de los enfermos con COVID-19 al final de sus vidas. Los procedimientos y normativas de seguridad sanitaria actuales exigen el aislamiento de las personas diagnosticados con COVID-19 o de aquellas bajo sospecha de contagio por falta de pruebas confirmatorias. Estas pautas de actuación conllevan una serie de condiciones que atentan los derechos del paciente, con especial relevancia al final de vida, como el derecho a una muerte digna y al acompañamiento, y que contribuyen a un elevado número de muertes en soledad. Si bien el aislamiento es una de las medidas de prevención de la infección más eficaces, es necesario adaptar un protocolo para situaciones de final de vida que contemple flexibilizar el aislamiento de estos pacientes siempre que haya una voluntad expresa por su parte. El presente manuscrito analiza la vulneración de los derechos del paciente al final de vida en situación de emergencia sanitaria y plantea una serie de recomendaciones para promover el respeto a su libertad y autonomía sin que ello suponga la asunción de riesgo colectivo excesivo.</text>

                <text>E-learning is conceived as a purely virtual training approach. Different learning styles have been proliferated in recent years, especially now, due to the impact of COVID-19 in the educational field. The aim of this study is to discover the evolution of e-learning in higher education (ELHI) in scientific literature indexed on the Web of Science. Co-word analysis and bibliometric analysis was performed. A total matrix of 1261 documents was analyzed through SciMAT software. The results revealed that studies on ELHI are written in English and presented by conference papers. The main source of publication for the conferences is EDULEARN proceedings, while the journal source is Procedia-Social and Behavioral Sciences. Spain is the country with the highest volume of production. It is concluded that research on ELHI use does not have an established line of research, due to its recent creation and the lack of related research. The bibliometric analysis specifies that the research is oriented towards knowing the level of acceptance and application of the pedagogical method in the teaching and learning processes.</text>
