Nurses face risks of life-threatening infection, which can create psychological distress. Quality of care for infected patients depends on mental well-being of nurses which calls for research on predictors of stress among health care workers. Responding to a call for research on the effects of leadership styles on psychological distress during traumatic events, this paper uses the theoretical lens of social exchange theory and contributes to literature on relationships between inclusive leadership, psychological distress, work engagement, and self-sacrifice. Participants of this cross sectional study included 497 registered nurses from five hospitals in Wuhan. Data were collected with temporal separation through an online questionnaire. Partial least-squares structural equation modeling was used to analyze data. Results show inclusive leadership has a significant negative relationship with psychological distress. Work engagement mediates this relationship, and nurses’ self-sacrificial behavior moderates it. Findings indicate inclusive leadership style serves as a sustainable mechanism to reduce psychological distress during pandemics. It can operationalize the delivery of mental health support in real-time in work settings. Results provide empirical support for social exchange theory through high work engagement to help control psychological distress among nurses. Therefore, precise estimates of its current and future trends are highly required for future policy implications.Methods: We retrieved data from the Health Commission of Hubei, China. Logistic-S curve model was used to estimate the current and future trends of SARS-CoV-2-infected cases among 16 cities of Hubei, China from Jan-11 to Feb-24, 2020.Results: Out of 64,287 confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Hubei, higher percentage of cases were in Wuhan and Xiaogan. The highest death percentage was found in Wuhan and Qianjiang. A significant percentage of cures were found in Enshi Prefecture and Huanggang, while Wuhan showed the lowest percentage of cures. Rising trends in infected cases were observed throughout the study period, particularly in Wuhan, and a higher trend was observed after 12-Feb. Gradual decline trend of SARS-CoV-2 cases was observed during Feb-25 to Mar-15 in Hubei Province. Disease surveys, conducted to assess the association of agronomical and geographical factors with the current spread of the disease, have shown that VWO is widespread in the valley, with a mean disease incidence (DI) in infested plots reaching 20.4%  (9000 inspected trees), but with significant differences among the provinces surveyed (25.7, 23.7 and 12%, for Jaén, Córdoba and Seville, respectively). The DI was significantly higher in irrigated (20.7%) than in dry-farming (18.3%) orchards, and also higher in non-tilled orchards (25.6%) than in regularly-tilled orchards (16.3%). The DI was likewise significantly lower for tree densities above 200 trees ha-1; and it was higher (21.5%) when the orchards were located near areas where other V. dahliae host plants were cultivated, than if the orchards were surrounded by non-host plants (11.9%). Lastly, the DI was significantly higher in plots where the tree were less than 25 year old and in plantations close to the Guadalquivir River (less than 10 km). ‘Picual’ was the cultivar most often affected with the disease, reaching a DI of 41.9% in orchards where this cultivar was grown. Highly virulent defoliating (D) isolates in the plantation surveyed were significantly more common (67.7%) than non-defoliating (ND) isolates (32.3%). These factors could explain the substantial increase in incidence and severity of VWO seen in the valley during the last decade. The number of infections in Indonesia rose significantly to 8211 cases, and 689 coronavirus deaths were reported on April 24th, 2020. We knew that the Indonesian Government has made numerous strategies to control the spread of infection in our community, but implementation plans were limited in addressing the challenges of stay-at-home policy.
