Sevillian or Gordal green olive varieties were used in the paste. Pastes were prepared by crushing olives after pit removal and adding preservatives (potassium solvate and sodium benzoate), and antioxidants (T. B. H. Q.) to crushed olives. These were characterized by recording microbial, physical, chemical and sensory measurements and shelf life was evaluated over three months of storage at room temperature (18 °C) and under refrigeration (4 °C). The final microbial count of the paste was less than 100 ufc/ml. Sensory testing demonstrated that it was acceptable and storage conditions did not significantly affect the product.The pH of the paste decreased with time (4.3 to 4.17), resulting in increased acidity which was affected by storage temperature. The peroxide index, increased with time, (from 5 to 27 meq peroxide/kg oil). However, the pastes were not perceived to be rancid after sensory testing. Regarding the color, the main change observed was a darkening of the paste, as determined using the parameter L*. The shelf life of the olive paste was 90 days either under refrigeration or at room temperature. To this end, eight insects that were observed in four measurements were taken as a population sample, as well as the generation of 12 organic pesticides that were applied for the control of insects, as well as the implicit prevention of pests, fungi, which could be present. Para ello nos centramos en un estudio de caso en el nordeste de la provincia de Misiones, Argentina. Aquí la actividad tabacalera, la forestación y la agricultura familiar (AF) alternativa (orientada a la producción de alimentos) entran en disputa por el territorio, dando lugar a conflictos por la ocupación de tierras privadas. Su análisis y devenir evidencia: (a) Las transformaciones territoriales resultantes de los procesos de avance de la globalización en ámbitos locales. (b) Los modos en que dichas transformaciones condicionan y limitan las propuestas de desarrollo originadas desde la política pública dirigida a paliar la desigualdad social. Para avanzar en la explicación de estos procesos consideramos necesario: (a) Reconocer las diferentes visiones y modalidades que dan cuenta de la desigualdad social, económica, política e institucional, tanto desde la perspectiva de los actores, como en sus expresiones materiales en el territorio en cuestión. (b) Identificar las relaciones de poder presentes en dicho ámbito (en particular en relación a la disputa por el uso y apropiación del recurso tierra). Y (c) examinar los distintos y contradictorios modelos y propuestas de desarrollo que dichas relaciones expresan. El estudio se basa en una metodología cualitativa sustentada en un estudio de caso y centrada en entrevistas realizadas durante 2008 y 2009 a los principales actores de un conflicto por la tierra situado en el nordeste de Misiones. El trabajo muestra las contradicciones de las políticas públicas que postulan crecimiento productivo y desarrollo en un marco legal de liberalización y desregulación a favor del ingreso de grandes inversiones transnacionales, sustentadas en actividades productivas a gran escala, altamente demandantes de tierra y agua. Inversiones que, contrariamente, tienen un débil requerimiento de fuerza de trabajo. Esta concepción de desarrollo, implícita en la propuesta de crecimiento económico de los sectores que hegemonizan el poder económico, visualiza la desigualdad social como una 'externalidad negativa' que, de algún modo debe ser contenida, asistida; desconociendo, ignorando u ocultando que sólo a partir de cambios estructurales es posible superar aquellas desigualdades. Development of COVID-19 vaccine is being considered as the most efficient strategy to curtail the ongoing pandemic. Following publication of genetic sequence of SARS-CoV-2, globally extensive research and development work has been in progress to develop a vaccine against the disease. The use of genetic engineering, recombinant technologies, and other computational tools has led to the expansion of several promising vaccine candidates. The range of technology platforms being evaluated, including virus-like particles, peptides, nucleic acid (DNA and RNA), recombinant proteins, inactivated virus, live attenuated viruses, and viral vectors (replicating and non-replicating) approaches, are striking features of the vaccine development strategies. Viral vectors, the next-generation vaccine platforms, provide a convenient method for delivering vaccine antigens into the host cell to induce antigenic proteins which can be tailored to arouse an assortment of immune responses, as evident from the success of smallpox vaccine and Ervebo vaccine against Ebola virus. As per the World Health Organization, till January 22, 2021, 14 viral vector vaccine candidates are under clinical development including 10 nonreplicating and four replicating types. Moreover, another 39 candidates based on viral vector platform are under preclinical evaluation. This review will outline the current developmental landscape and discuss issues that remain critical to the success or failure of viral vector vaccine candidates against COVID-19. Diagnosing the disease accurately and decreasing misdiagnoses and missed diagnoses is very important for management. Therefore, we have analyzed the seven versions of China's national guidelines to examine how the diagnostic criteria roadmap has developed and evolved, in order to share our experience worldwide. In this article, we present the developments from the first to seventh versions, involving changes of case classification, changes to “suspected case,” changes in “confirmed case,” changes in clinical classifications, changes in “severe case,” and unchanged criteria. We have also discussed the reasons and implications for these changes and are looking forward to providing suggestions for worldwide understanding and management of this pandemic. A nucleic acid test is currently accepted as the gold standard method to confirm diagnosis. In addition, imaging examination and epidemiological history should also be considered as auxiliary diagnosis methods.
