El carácter perenne y la reproducción asexual de esta planta le permite ralentizar la extinción poblacional, incluso en ausencia de reclutamiento via plántula en los lugares secos y soleados. Sin embargo, con la actual tendencia hacia una mayor aridez, los escasos micrositios adecuados para la germinación y establecimiento de plántulas se desplazan hacia los sectores de las paredes más umbríos y húmedos, pero donde el desarrollo reproductivo está limitado por la escasez de luz. Para la conservación de esta planta carnívora hay que llevar a cabo medidas de manejo para mantener un número mínimo de nichos de regeneración efectivos. La conservación de P. vallisneriifolia pasa por mantener la riqueza de escenarios ecológicos (i.e., mantener poblaciones de sol versus de sombra), como parte de la variabilidad total a conservar, no solo geográfica, sino también de escenario microclimáticoMost carnivorous plants belonging to the Pinguicula genus inhabit mountains in the Mediterranean basin. Pinguicula vallisneriifolia inhabits wet limestone rock walls and cliffs, being able to reproduce by seeds and asexually (by stolons and axillary buds). The complex orography of Mediterranean mountains favors sunny (hot and dry) and shady (cool and wet) contrasting expositions. Along the sun-shade gradient, there were variations in plant flowering phenology, as well as in animal species that interacted with the plants (prey, pollinators and kleptoparasites), even at a very restricted spatial scale. The ecological consequence is that the marked spatial variability in abiotic conditions results in a site-specific mosaic of plant-animal interactions, and hence of selective pressures of animals upon plants. Plant populations have also different demographic structures depending on the microhabitat (sunny, dry versus wet, shady). As a result, different demographic patterns appear on different localities or different habitats within the same locality: populations living in moist, shady patches show high proportions of seedlings as plants reproduce both sexually and asexually, resulting in viable populations. However, there are few data on the comparative ecology of these species. The aim of this research was to quantify the diet of these two canids living in syntopy at three levels: frequency of occurrence, minimum number of individuals preyed and estimated biomass ingested. Additionally, seasonality in the consumption of major groups of food items and aspects of prey size distribution were assessed. The study took place in the Experimental Station of Itapetininga, São Paulo State, Brazil. General results showed that both canids are omnivorous in accordance with other studies. By occurrences, the wolves consumed vegetal and animal food in similar proportions, whereas the foxes consumed more animals, mainly insects. In contrast, both canids ingested mainly animal food if biomass is considered. The maned wolf consumed more wolf's fruit (Solanum lycocarpum) and small mammals in the dry season, and miscellaneous fruits during the wet season. The crab-eating fox also ingested more miscellaneous fruits in the wet season, but the insects were mostly consumed during dry months. The crab-eating fox is more generalist than the maned wolf, but the wolf seems better able to handle distinct prey types. En este trabajo se presenta el desarrollo de una metodología para evaluar la evapotranspiración integrada de los cultivos, determinada para grandes áreas de riego, con un patrón diversificado de cultivos, con diferentes fechas de siembra y varios ciclos agrícolas, base para analizar los cambios consecuentes sobre la infraestructura en las condiciones proyectadas bajo escenarios de cambio climático y asumiendo dos acciones posibles de adaptación agrícola. Como caso de estudio se analiza la Asociación de Usuarios de Riego Santa Rosa, del Distrito de Riego 075, ”Río Fuerte”, Sinaloa, México. Los resultados obtenidos indican que para las medidas de adaptación al cambio climático analizadas para mediados de siglo y asumiendo el escenario de emisiones A1B, la capacidad de conducción del gasto de diseño de la infraestructura para grandes áreas de riego podría incrementarse en un 5%. De igual manera, para las pequeñas áreas de riego con o sin medidas de adaptación, el incremento en la capacidad de diseño será también de 5%. Respecto al volumen necesario anual, bajo el mismo escenario de emisiones A1B y de acuerdo con las medidas de adaptación estudiadas, habrá un aumento de 8.5%. Se concluye que la metodología desarrollada puede ser aplicable en cualquier distrito de riego de México para analizar el impacto del cambio climático en la infraestructura de riego. Desde agosto de 2006 hasta marzo de 2007 dos veces por mes fueron colectadas heces de la nutria en bolsas plásticas en la zona baja del río Roble, en laboratorio las muestras fueron lavadas, tamizadas y comparadas con una colección de referencia.Se reconocieron 14 categorías alimenticias, dentro los cuales los peces de la Familia Loricariidae, presentaron el mayor porcentaje de frecuencia, particularmente la especie Chetostoma sp. (22,6%), seguida de Hypostomus sp.  (9,55%) y  Ancistrus sp.  (8,54%);  otras especies de peces aprovechadas por la nutria en menor proporción son: Apteronotus sp. (11,6%), Brycon henni  (9,86%), Lebiasina sp. (0,70%), y Rhamdia sp. (9,15%). Los insectos fueron el siguiente grupo en importancia, con la especie Corydalus sp. (9%) (Familia Corydalidae), y en menor presencia los reptiles de la Familia Corytophanidae, especie Basiliscus sp. Se encontró diferencias significativa, entre los ítems consumidos por temporada climática (Rs = 0,429; n= 11 p= 0.00001).
