OBJETIVO: Anopheles bellator e An. cruzii são vetores da malária-bromélia, característicos de áreas preservadas. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar a distribuição sazonal e vertical desses anofelinos, visando contribuir para a avaliação do risco de transmissão desse agravo. MÉTODOS: No município de Ilha Comprida, SP, foram instaladas armadilhas luminosas tipo CDC iscadas com gelo seco, das 17 às 20h, a um, seis e 12m do solo, quinzenalmente, de setembro de 2001 a setembro de 2002. A relação da densidade desses anofelinos com o clima foi avaliada pelo coeficiente de Spearman e suas densidades entre os estratos foram comparadas pelo teste não paramétrico de Mann-Whitney. RESULTADOS: Do total de 55.226 mosquitos, 1.341 eram An. bellator (2,4% do total de Culicidae), sendo capturados 278 indivíduos próximo ao solo, 261 a seis metros e 802 na copa (12 m). Na mesma ordem, foram capturados 452, 1.032 e 4.420 adultos de An. cruzii, totalizando 5.904 mosquitos desta espécie (10,7%). Houve correlação positiva entre a densidade das duas espécies com a temperatura máxima, e entre An. bellator e amplitude térmica diária. As densidades das duas espécies foram maiores na copa. Nos três estratos, An. cruzii predominou sobre An. bellator. CONCLUSÕES: Confirmou-se o comportamento acrodendrófilo dessas espécies, principalmente An. cruzii. Após medidas drásticas de controle, esses anofelinos permaneceram na região mas, atualmente, não são alvo de vigilância entomológica. A persistência da transmissão de malária autóctone e o incremento de atividades de ecoturismo na região apontam a necessidade de monitoramento dessas espécies.OBJECTIVE: Anopheles bellator e An. cruzii are vectors of the so-called bromeliad-malaria, typical of conserved areas. The objective was to evaluate the seasonal and vertical distribution of these anophelines, aiming at assessing the risk of malaria transmission. METHODS: In the municipality of Ilha Comprida, Southeastern Brazil, CDC light traps baited with dry ice were placed fortnightly from 17:00 to 20:00, at one, six and 12 meters high from September 2001 to September 2002. Association between An. bellator and An. cruzii densities and weather were assessed by Spearman coefficient and comparisons among heights and species densities were made by Mann-Whitney non-parametric test. RESULTS: A total of 55,226 mosquitoes were caught: 1,341 were An. bellator (2.4% of Culicidae), 278 at one meter, 261 at six meter and 802 at 12m high. Following the same sequence, An. cruzii was represented by 452, 1,032 and 4,420 adults, totalizing 5,904 mosquitoes (10.7%). There was a positive correlation between densities of both species and daily maximum temperature, and between density of An. bellator and thermal amplitude. The densities were higher for both species at tree canopy. At the three levels, the density of An. cruzii was higher. CONCLUSIONS: The acrodendrophilic behavior of these species was confirmed, remarkably in An. cruzii. After aggressive measures of control, these anophelines have remained in this region, but they are not under entomological surveillance. The persistent transmission of malaria and increasing tourism activities in this region highlight the need for surveillance of these species.

El ordenamiento y accesibilidad a la información sobre régimen hídrico de los principales cultivos agrícolas resulta de gran impacto económico social ya que la misma permite la definición de la función agua rendimiento y la productividad del agua como herramientas eficientes en el planeamiento, diseño y operación del suministro de agua a los cultivos. Este trabajo se trazó como objetivo obtener a partir de la recopilación y tabulación de los resultados experimentales existentes en el Instituto de Investigaciones de Riego y Drenaje (IIRD), una base de datos sobre necesidades hídricas de algunos cultivos de interés agrícola. La base de datos comprende la información experimental de 1971 hasta 2009, más de 22 cultivos, cinco tipos de suelos, con diferentes técnicas de riego y un rango amplio de tratamientos de riego. Así como las variables: evaporación, consumo de agua, rendimientos, número de riegos, agua aplicada por riego, precipitaciones reportadas, lluvia aprovechable. Esta base de datos permitirá en etapas posteriores determinar para cultivos de interés su potencial de producción, así como la productividad agronómica del agua y el factor de respuesta del rendimiento como expresión de la función agua rendimiento; contribuyendo a la definición de estrategias que den respuesta al problema de la escasez de agua y a la seguridad alimentaria a un costo ambiental más bajo. Se programó la base de datos para su colocación en la página WEB del Instituto de Investigaciones de Ingeniería Agrícola (IAgric) como parte del sistema de asesoramiento al regante y su consulta por parte de todos los usuarios interesados.

El propósito de este capítulo es identificar, con un enfoque de Economía Política del Desarrollo, los diferentes significados del “buen vivir” latinoamericano y sus diversos manantiales intelectuales. Los autores intentan responder las siguientes preguntas: ¿Cuáles son los diferentes “buenos vivires” que hay detrás de dicho concepto? y ¿cuáles son los manantiales intelectuales de los que han bebido los diversos autores que han escrito sobre el tema? Asimismo, usan las estrategias metodológicas de la deconstrucción y la genealogía del concepto, a partir de una amplia revisión bibliográfica. Ellos concluyen que existen tres diferentes versiones de buen vivir latinoamericano: una indigenista y pachamamista, otra socialista y estatista, y otra ecologista y posdesarrollista. Además, sostienen que existe también una concepción sintética del concepto. Estas versiones están asociadas con diferentes influencias intelectuales, tales como: el sumak kawsay, el suma qamaña y el allin kawsay; la cosmovisión andina; el desarrollo con identidad; la teoría de la reciprocidad; el posdesarrollo; la teología de la liberación; la teoría de la dependencia; la teoría de la colonialidad; el desarrollo sostenible; la teoría del sistema mundial; el desarrollo humano; el desarrollo endógeno; el ecosocialismo; el socialismo del siglo XXI; la justicia social; la economía de la felicidad; la eudaimonía; la economía de los bienes relacionales; la economía social y solidaria; el feminismo intercultural; el feminismo de los cuidados; el ecofeminismo; la economía de autosuficiencia; la economía comunitaria; la economía descalza y a escala humana; la economía budista; el posextractivismo; el decrecimiento; la ecología profunda; y la teoría de la convivialidad.

(Piperaceae) procedente del piedemonte oriental de la cordillera Oriental en la jurisdicción de los departamentos de Caquetá y Putumayo (SE de Colombia). La especie nueva se distingue por sus hojas basalmente lobadas y oblicuas sobre un lado, con lobos divergentes y más cortos que el pecíolo, la lámina foliar gruesa y cartácea, con tallos, haz de la hoja, pecíolos y pedúnculos glabros y con crecimientos epidérmicos en pecíolos y márgenes peciolares; se discuten sus relaciones taxonómicas, se presentan comentarios sobre su distribución y ecología y se ilustran sus caracteres diagnósticos.
