Las especies más abundantes a nivel superficial fueron Aglaura hemistoma en febrero, Liriope tetraphylla en marzo, Obelia sp. y Proboscidactyla ornata en febrero, Nanomia bijuga en abril, Muggiaea atlantica en febrero, Sulculeolaria chuni y Diphyes dispar en marzo, mientras que en la columna de agua (10 metros) fueron Proboscidactyla ornata en febrero, Liriope tetraphylla, Solmundella bitentaculata, Obelia sp., Muggiaea atlantica y Nanomia bijuga en abril, la máxima diversidad en medusas fue de 2.14 bits/ind en la columna de agua para abril, mientras que en sifonóforos a nivel superficial con 1.67 bits/ind para diciembre. La similitud de Bray-Curtis determinó a las estaciones E2, E3 y E4 como las más afines por sus máximas abundancias. El análisis de correspondencia canónica destacó la relación entre Obelia sp. y Muggiaea atlantica con la temperatura y de Liriope tetraphylla con la salinidad. En general, la fauna de medusas y sifonóforos mostró una representativa afinidad ecológica para aguas tropicales y subtropicales así como también presencia de especies cosmopolitas, neríticas y oceánicas, estudio de vital importancia para asociarlos en futuras investigaciones al Evento El Niño. Sgroi Description An account of the resource The core crop region of the Humid Pampa is one of the most productive agricultural lands around the world and depends highly on climate conditions. This study assesses climate variability, climate extremes, and observed and projected climate changes there, using 1911–2019 observations and CMIP5 model simulations. Since 1970, the annual mean temperature has risen by 1 °C and the mean annual minimum and maximum temperatures by 2 and 0.5 °C, respectively. The frequency of warm days and nights increased, and cold days and nights decreased. Heatwaves became longer and more intense, and cold waves decreased with less frost events. Annual precipitation increased by 10% from 1911, mainly in summer, and years with excess precipitation outnumbered those with a deficit. Both intense precipitation events and consecutive dry days grew, suggesting more annual precipitation falling on fewer days. Projections show a warming of 1 ºC by 2035, regardless of the scenario. From then on until 2100, mean temperature will increase by 2 and 3–3.5 °C in the RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios, respectively. Annual precipitation will grow 8 and 16% from current values by 2100 in the RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios, respectively. No major precipitation changes are projected in the RCP2.6 scenario. Para determinar la relación entre el clima y la variabilidad de la temperatura sub-superficial, se analizaron los registros de la temperatura sub-superficial del mar de nueve estaciones localizadas en la Bahía. El análisis permitió caracterizar su ciclo anual y explorar su relación con fuentes de variabilidad climática que influencian el clima regional para el periodo 1998-2010. Los resultados se contextualizaron usando además los datos de una estación meteorológica automática que funcionó en la bahía junto con el registro de la temperatura superficial del mar para una rejilla que cubre la región de 9-11°N, 85-87°W, para el periodo 1854-2011. Debido a la tendencia positiva encontrada en la región para la temperatura superficial del mar, se concluye que los resultados mostrados asociados a los ciclos anuales y diarios en Bahía Culebra deben ser interpretados bajo un escenario de cambio climático, asociado a un calentamiento ocurrido desde 1854, además coherente con lo observado globalmente, y que su variabilidad climática está influenciada no sólo por aquella ligada a la de El Niño-Oscilación del Sur, en el Pacífico Ecuatorial, sino también por influencias de tipo atmosférico relacionadas con la variabilidad en el Océano Atlántico, debido a que los eventos cálidos (fríos) en Bahía Culebra tienden a ocurrir en concordancia con anomalías positivas y negativas (negativas y positivas) de los índices Niño 3.4 y OAN, respectivamente.Climate and subsurface sea temperature in Bahía Culebra, Costa Rica. Bahía Culebra, Golfo de Papagayo, Costa Rica is a seasonal upwelling area. To determine the relationship of climate and the subsurface temperature variability at Bahía Culebra, we analyzed nine records of sea subsurface temperature from the Bay, continuously recorded from 1998 to 2010. The analysis characterized the annual cycle and explored the influence of different climate variability sources on the subsurface sea temperature and air temperature recorded in Bahía Culebra. Data from an automatic meteorological station in the bay were studied, obtaining the annual and daily cycle for air surface temperature and wind speed. Sea surface temperature (SST) trend from 1854 to 2011 was calculated from reanalysis for the region that coverts 9-11°N, 85-87°W. Because of the positive SST trend identified in this region, results showed that annual and daily cycles in Bahía Culebra should be studied under a warming scenario since 1854, that is coherent with the global warming results and its climate variability is influenced by El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in the Equatorial Pacific and by atmospheric forcing triggered by climate variability with Atlantic Ocean origin, because warm (cold) events in Bahía Culebra tend to occur in concordance with positive & negative (negative & positive) anomalies in Niño 3.4 (NAO) index. Title A name given to the resource Concentraciones de Abono Orgánico Líquido Aeróbico (AOLA) en el cultivo de brócoli (Brassica oleracea) mediante riego por goteo Creator An entity primarily responsible for making the resource Adolfo Blanco Chura, Fanny Bertha Arragan Tancara Description An account of the resource En los últimos años se ha buscado alternativas para mejorar suelos, con las aplicaciones de abonos orgánicos en forma sólida o líquido, para seguir cosechando con los mismos y mejores rendimientos, en ese sentido se aplica abono orgánico liquido aeróbico (AOLA) y de forma automatizada en riego por goteo, y así evaluar el comportamiento agronómico y determinar el nivel de concentración de AOLA más eficiente para el cultivo de brócoli que es una hortaliza con cantidades significantes de nutrientes, vitaminas, proteínas y sales minerales de gran importancia para la salud ya que tiene efectos en fortalecer el sistema inmunológico y anticancerígeno. Se evaluó la variedad Di Cicco bajo ambientes controlados, mediante un diseño completamente al azar, con las siguientes variables de respuesta: altura de planta, número de hojas, diámetro del tallo, días a la formación de la pella, rendimiento del cultivo, propiedades químicas y físicas del suelo y análisis económico. De los resultados: la altura de planta con un nivel de AOLA al 20 % alcanzó los promedios más altos con 84.8 cm, el mayor número de hojas se presentó con los niveles de AOLA al 20 y 30 % con 12 hojas por planta, diámetro del tallo fue mejor con la dosis de 30 % de AOLA con promedio de 2.86 cm, la aparición de la pella resulto mejor con la dosis de 30 % de AOLA. El peso de pella por planta resultó con altos valores el T3 con un nivel de AOLA al 20 % alcanzando 168.89 g, y el mismo tratamiento resultó mejor en rendimiento con promedio de 19 046.92 kg ha-1 y un beneficio costo de 1.75, seguido de T4 con 17 910.69 kg ha-1 y un beneficio costo de 1.56.
