Based on this, we believe that the solution to this problem should unite the countries of the world, complementaryly link them in the achievement of food security. Actualization of the solution of the food crisis requires not only the participation of the entire world community, but also a rapid response to the novel challenges. The latest technologies with enormous potential must be used rationally to enhance the welfare of all mankind, eliminate hunger and poverty. The levels of food security in the world’s households, especially in Mexico, have decreased. When people do not have food security, their health is compromised and they have financial problems; on the other hand, environmental deterioration has a link with food security. The purpose of this review is to analysis of the current situation in Mexico of food security, environmental health and economy, the main lessons learned in these areas and their proposals integrating public policies. A review was carried out in the main databases (MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL Plus, Web of Science, CAB Abstracts y PAIS Index) with the following keywords and according to the MeSH terms: Food security, food insecurity, environmental health, public policies, environmental, production, integrating the word COVID-19 in English and Spanish. Only 44.5% of Mexican households presented food security. For food insecurity, 22.6% had moderate and severe food insecurity, while 32.9% had mild insecurity. Food insecurity and the health impacts of environmental origin (waste management during the coronavirus pandemic, water contaminated by bacteria, viruses, and toxins; air pollution) generates impacts on economic activity by not offering food that meets health regulations. Without the application of cost-effective measures and interventions for the prevention and control of patients with obesity, the direct costs for 2023 will amount to 9 million dollars, which worsens the household economy. Despite having laws and policies on the right to food, a healthy environment (water), and opportunities for economic growth, these human rights are not fulfilled. The conclusion is that it is necessary to use a health and agroecological model to promote public policies (health, environment, and economy) that aims to prevent the discussed issues, with multidisciplinary and intersectoral interventions (government, academia, researchers, civil society organizations, industry, and population). This upholds the human right that all people should enjoy an adequate, healthy environment and have access to high-quality food. Hoy, frente al COVID-19, resurge la necesidad de preguntarse: ¿Cuán relacionados están nuestros alimentos y la agricultura, con el surgimiento de esta enfermedad? ¿Qué tan probable es, que aparezcan nuevas enfermedades, si se mantienen las formas, modalidades de producción y consumo de alimentos? Sin duda, la deforestación y la degradación ambiental, impulsadas por un modelo de agricultura convencional, están relacionadas a la aparición de nuevas enfermedades7.En plena pandemia y cuarentena, se percibe con mayor importancia a nuestra alimentación. Muchos se empezaron a preguntar: ¿De dónde vienen los alimentos? La respuesta es sencilla, pero a su vez encierra diversas complejidades, y está disponible especialmente a quien esté interesado, en indagar su origen. Sin importar el país, los alimentos llegan al consumidor, gracias al funcionamiento del Sistema Alimentario (SA). En éste, se incluyen todos los componentes, procesos y actividades realizadas antes, durante y después de la siembra, pasando por el consumo, hasta llegar a la fase del desecho. Las múltiples labores se realizan día a día, por una gran variedad de actores y sus intereses. Los consumidores también formamos parte de éste sistema, al igual que el medio ambiente8. Si nos preciamos de ser civilizados, que anticipan y planifican, entonces debemos apuntar a que todo SA sea sostenible económica, social y ambientalmente. Eso será posible, cuando garanticemos seguridad alimentaria para todos, sin comprometer las bases económicas, sociales y ambientales, para las futuras generaciones9. Hoy, es suficiente con analizar el estado de la (in)seguridad alimentaria, del medio ambiente y el surgimiento de nuevas enfermedades, para afirmar que el SA en el planeta, no es sostenible10,11.Debió haberse hecho antes, pero más allá de lamentar, es hora de planificar. Ahora interpretamos el desenvolvimiento de eventos de manera más integral, e identificamos de mejor manera los retos que enfrenta la humanidad, por tanto, debemos tomar acción. Debemos prevenir que nuevas enfermedades surjan y evolucionen a raíz del funcionamiento desequilibrado de nuestros SA. Por eso, en primer lugar, está claro que nuestros hábitos alimenticios tienen un impacto sobre el medio ambiente, y éste acaba de pasarnos factura. En segundo lugar, queda claro que la agricultura convencional como principal modelo de producción de alimentos, bajo el enfoque de maximizar la producción, los rendimientos e ingresos, y someter al medio ambiente a nuestra voluntad, ha jugado un papel central para que ahora enfrentemos esta pandemia. Allí la evidencia de que no es deseable mantener el funcionamiento actual del SA global. The present work aims at analyzing the influence of: (i) food values on key non-financial results, particularly satisfaction and loyalty; and (ii) satisfaction on loyalty. The paper makes a further delineation for both satisfaction and loyalty (i.e., with the product and with the grocery store), as well as considers the potential implications derived from the COVID-19 pandemic. With these objectives in mind, the paper distributed an online survey to the residents of Toledo (Spain) during April and May 2020 (a period characterized by a national lockdown, where grocery stores and essential business were open to the public). This effort produced 303 valid questionnaires and the resulting data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics alongside linear parametric regressions. The findings show how food values have a positive and significant influence on both types of satisfaction and loyalty; there is also a significant and positive influence of both types of satisfaction on both types of loyalty. Moreover, the results corroborate previous works about the most influential food values. These findings highlight the importance of considering food values in grocery retailing in order to achieve key non-financial benefits. The paper ends with a discussion of several interesting managerial guidelines, particularly in light of situations like the COVID-19 pandemic. Knowing this place and starting from it is a fundamental premise when carrying out an artistic intervention in the landscape. I understand this creative process as a collaboration with the ecosystem: the tree, the land, the water, the animals and, by extension, the peasant, the artisan or the shepherd, are also an active and transforming part of the work itself. The work process in nature puts me in contact with the daily reality, not only of the landscape, but of the people who live in it, their privileges and their difficulties. Using the materials of the environment itself becomes a research tool to work on, to understand the cyclical process of continuous transformations on which the landscape is drawn. Traditional crafts, organic farming and extensive grazing have been great sources of inspiration in my work process, revaluing a cyclical material culture, which starts from the territory's own resources without generating foreign waste. The relationship with the inhabitants of the environments in which I work is usually very close. Sometimes the work processes are participatory or collaborative proposals are generated. Title A name given to the resource For a political philosophy of grief Creator An entity primarily responsible for making the resource Carla Rodrigues Description An account of the resource This paper proposes a bibliographical review of the theme of grief in the work of Judith Butler, taking as its central argument the idea that grief is the concept around which she organizes her philosophy. By the claim of the right to public mourning, criticism of state violence, dispossession and interdependence, Butler draws an ethical proposition from the condition of grief, given since the beginning of life. The condition of grief in lives is unequally framed and, in this sense, Butler seeks to reveal the pictures that sustain the condition of possibility of maintaining certain lives as precarious. In the course of the text, I articulate the theme of grief in Butler with the notions of biopolitics (Foucault), necropolitics (Mbembe) and state of exception (Agamben) in order to reflect how the covid-19 pandemic exposes us to a condition of global vulnerability and, at the same time, accentuates inequalities between precarious lives.
