<text>The study evaluated the symptoms, acceptance, and digestibility of bread made from transgenic low-gliadin wheat, in comparison with gluten free bread, in Non-coeliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) patients, considering clinical/sensory parameters and gut microbiota composition. This study was performed in two phases of seven days each, comprising a basal phase with gluten free bread and an E82 phase with low-gliadin bread. Gastrointestinal clinical symptoms were evaluated using the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale (GSRS) questionnaire, and stool samples were collected for gluten immunogenic peptides (GIP) determination and the extraction of gut microbial DNA. For the basal and E82 phases, seven and five patients, respectively, showed undetectable GIPs content. The bacterial 16S rRNA gene V1-V2 hypervariable regions were sequenced using the Illumina MiSeq platform and downstream analysis was done using a Quantitative Insights into Microbial Ecology (QIIME) pipeline. No significant differences in the GSRS questionnaires were observed between the two phases. However, we observed a significantly lower abundance of some gut genera Oscillospira, Dorea, Blautia, Bacteroides, Coprococcus, and Collinsella, and a significantly higher abundance of Roseburia and Faecalibacterium genera during the E82 phase compared with the basal phase. The consumption of low-gliadin bread E82 by NCGS subjects induced potentially positive changes in the gut microbiota composition, increasing the butyrate-producing bacteria and favoring a microbial profile that is suggested to have a key role in the maintenance or improvement of gut permeability.</text>

<text>This paper explores the dynamics and the logic underlying the modern civilizational paradigm through the systemic analysis proposed by Wallerstein and how it shapes the Law. We argue that capitalism and the production and reproduction of human life and the Earth-System are incompatible, since the former requires the destruction of the latter. In this context, we wonder if, basing on the logic of capital, which also shapes human rights, it is possible to imagine a truly radical solution to the problem of the ecological and humanitarian crisis. The main goal here would be that we, as researchers and defenders of human rights, begin to rethink the hegemonic theories of law and to formulate creative praxis against the challenges posed by the capitalist system.Received: 04 August 2019Accepted: 30 October 2019Published online: 20 December 2019</text>

<text>With the growing interest in the search for food resources that may partially replace theuse of concentrates in animal feed, the cultivation of soybeans for the production of biomass and grainsresponds as an alternative to the livestock sector. Therefore, the objective of this research was to testdoses of phytostimulant and cut-off periods to evaluate the phytomass gain and soybean grains yield inthe Agreste Meridional region of the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. The experiment was carried out underfield conditions, in the city of Garanhuns, evaluating four doses of phytostimulant (F1=0.00, F2 = 3.75, F3= 7.50 and F4 = 11.25 mL kg-1 of seeds) and four cut-off periods (C1= no cut; C2 = 30 DAE (days aftersowing); C3 = 35 DAE and C4 = 40 DAE). The dry mass of the plants was increased when cutting wasdone later, the increment in this period was verified with the application of the higher doses ofphytostimulant, contributing to the elevation in height, number of nodes and green biomass. Thephytostimulant dose of 7.5 mL kg-1 of seed and the cut-off period of 40 days after emergence (DAE) arethe most indicated for forage, for providing greater biomass gain. Cutting at 30 DAE associated with thephytostimulant dose of 4.36 mL kg-1 of seeds provided a higher production of regrowth grains.</text>
