                <text>The adoption of management practices that reduce water losses is essential to conserve moisture and improve soil temperature, especially in arid and semiarid environments of the Brazilian Northeast, characterized by high evapotranspiration and the adoption of irrigation with saline water, which harms growth and yield of commercial crops. Given these factories, an experiment was conducted in Nova Floresta, Paraíba, from August 2010 to February 2011 in Oxisoil, in order to evaluate the production of bell pepper and soil moisture in grooves with side trim, and application of biofertilizer and mulch cattle. The experimental design was randomized blocks with four replications using a factorial 2 x 2 x 2 for the ground beef with and without biofertilizer, with and without residues of sisal fiber (Agave sisalana), with and without the side facing the grooves, to reduce lateral water losses by infiltration of water with polyethylene plastic film. From the results, the lining of the lateral grooves provided higher values of soil moisture, number of fruits, fruit mass, plant production and productivity, bell pepper plants. It was also found that the combination of biofertilizer and mulch the ground beef remained wetter in the first 15 cm depth.</text>

                <text>Los acridios (tucuras y langostas) continúan ocasionando pérdidas económicas en la agricultura a nivel mundial. En Argentina, la importancia de estos insectos ha sido reconocida desde mediados del siglo XIX, dependiendo de la región considerada y en relación al progresivo desarrollo agropecuario en el país. Los hongos son los microorganismos parásitos de insectos más frecuentemente encontrados en la naturaleza y la mayoría de las investigaciones con hongos entomopatógenos se ha centrado en su desarrollo como bioplaguicidas. En el presente trabajo se dan a conocer cinco registros nuevos de Beauveria bassiana (Bals.-Criv.) Vuill., y dos de Entomophaga grylli (Fresen.) A. Batko que se encontraron afectando distintas especies de acridios; se amplía así la distribución geográfica y el espectro hospedador para estas especies fúngicas. Cabe destacar que con el aporte de estos siete registros nuevos, el número total de hongos entomopatógenos de acridios citados para la República Argentina se eleva de 22 a 29.</text>

                <text>A colheita é uma das etapas mais importantes no rendimento final do sistema produtivo do gergelim, pois perdas de sementes de 50% ou mais podem ocorrer após a maturação completa, devido à deiscência das cápsulas. Dessa forma, objetivou-se no presente trabalho apresentar, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica, as tecnologias recomendadas para a colheita do gergelim: corte das plantas, preparação e organização dos feixes, secagem, batedura, peneiração e ventilação dos grãos. Ressalta-se, ainda, que a comercialização do gergelim no Nordeste é bastante pulverizada e de difícil organização, principalmente por ser proveniente de pequenos agricultores, onde se concentra a maior parte da produção. Nessa situação, o ideal é que os agricultores se organizem via cooperativas e associações para fomentar o cultivo em comunidade visando um planejamento a priori para maior eficiência e rentabilidade da exploração do gergelim, principalmente pelo fato do consumo nacional apresentar-se superior a oferta do produto. Este trabalho também relata a verticalização da produção de gergelim e as suas qualidades na saúde e alimentação humana. = The harvest is one of the most important stages in the final yield of the production system of sesame, because seed losses of 50% or more might occur following maturation, due to dehiscence of the capsules. Thus, the aim of this study show was to review the literature relative to the recommended technologies for the harvesting of sesame: cutting plant, preparation and organization of the beams, drying, mixing, sifting and ventilation of the grain. It is also important to note that the marketing of sesame in the Northeast is highly dispersed and difficult to organized, primarily because it is obtained from small farmers, where most of the production is done. In this a situation, the ideal would be for farmers be organized through cooperatives and associations to promote community growth in order to plan in advance for greater efficiency and profitability of the operation of sesame, particularly since domestic consumption exceeds the supply of the product. This paper also reports the vertical integration of the production of sesame and its associated qualities in human health and nutrition.</text>

Os tratamentos foram representados pela inoculação com oito estirpes de bactérias diazotróficas (AR1122, M130, BF1358, ZAE94, AR3122, AR2112, CD e BR2113), bem como pelo recobrimento das sementes com a turfa umedecida com o meio de cultivo esterilizado e pelas sementes não inoculadas. No segundo experimento, o delineamento experimental adotado foi o inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial, com dois lotes de sementes recém-colhidas das cultivares IR42 e Zebu Branco x oito tratamentos, com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos foram representados pela inoculação das sementes com seis estirpes de bactérias diazotróficas (BF1358, AR3122, AR1122, ZAE94, M130 e AR2112), bem como pelo recobrimento das sementes com a turfa umedecida com o meio de cultivo esterilizado e pela não realização do procedimento de inoculação. As bactérias AR1122, M130, BF1358, ZAE94 e AR3112 podem ser selecionadas para formular inoculante para sementes de arroz. A inoculação com as bactérias diazotróficas aumenta a velocidade de germinação das sementes das cultivares IR42 e Zebu Branco, com menor contaminação por fungos.The objective of this work was to evaluate the germination and vigour of rice seeds affected by inoculation with diazotrophic bacteria. Two experiments were conduced. In the first one, a completely randomized design with four replications arranged in a factorial scheme (2 lots x 10 treatments) was used. For this, rice seeds of cultivar IC4440 were inoculated with eight strains of diazotrophic (AR1122, M130, BF1358, ZAE94, AR3122, AR2112, CD e BR2113), submitted to coating with peat soil humidified with a sterile medium and not inoculated. In the second study, a completely randomized design with four replications arranged in a factorial scheme (2 lots x 6 treatments) was used. For this, recently harvested seeds of cultivars IR42 and Zebu Branco were inoculated with six strains (BF1358, AR3122, AR1122, ZAE94, M130 e AR2112), submitted to coating with peat soil humidified with a sterile medium and not inoculated. The bacteria AR1122, M130, BF1358, ZAE94 and AR3112 can be selected for inoculation of rice seeds. The inoculation of diazotrophic bacteria increases the speed of germination of rice seeds of cultivars IR42 e Zebu Branco, with low contamination by fungi.</text>

De igual forma, se discute la importancia de homogenizar los términos y definir de manera clara a los gremios, a fin de tener un leguaje que permita entender los alcances del término sin ambigüedades. El uso del término, así como su persistencia en estudios ecológicos, sugiere que el mismo tiene relevancia considerable dependiendo de la forma y el modo en que es empleado. El uso inadecuado o derivado de este término es arriesgado y peligroso, dado que tiende a reducir el término a una palabra vacía con múltiples significados. Más que nada, esta trivialización constituye una amenaza al uso y significado adecuado del concepto de gremio en ecología.</text>

                <text>El objetivo de este artículo es explorar la ecología-mundo de la producción capitalista de carne de cerdo, a partir de los planteamientos teóricos de Jason W. Moore, según los cuales la naturaleza producida por el capital implica superar la distinción cartesiana entre explotación del trabajo y la naturaleza. Este artículo se centra en el momento histórico de la constitución de un régimen neoliberal y global de la industria cárnica de cerdo. Entre 1950-1970, el régimen alimentario intensivo reestructuró la producción ganadera de cerdos en España y otras muchas geografías de la economía-mundo; el cual a su vez sentó las bases para la transición al régimen corporativo o global (1980 hasta la actualidad), según una nueva ecología-mundo de producción de “cerdos capitalistas”.   En la primera parte se aborda la ecología-mundo de la industria del cerdo a partir de la periodificación de regímenes alimentarios propuesta por el sociólogo Philip McMichael (2016): imperial, intensivo y corporativo. Tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se produjo desde EEUU la internacionalización del régimen alimentario intensivo (1950-1970) que reestructuró la producción ganadera de cerdos en España y otras muchas geografías de la economía-mundo; el cual a su vez sentó las bases para la transición al régimen corporativo o global (1980 hasta la actualidad).   En la segunda parte, siguiendo el enfoque de Jason W. Moore sobre las cuatro mercancías baratas requeridas por la valorización capitalista, mostramos cómo se ha constituido históricamente la carne de cerdo como un alimento barato, en el contexto de la expansión de una demanda interna derivada de la integración de las clases trabajadoras en la nueva norma de consumo de masas. Tomamos como referencia empírica España, y concretamente la Región de Murcia, como nuevo polo productivo de carne de cerdo. Se analizan las fronteras de trabajo barato y de naturaleza barata para detectar las fuentes de trabajo no remunerado que han posibilitado la valorización capitalista.   El trabajo de investigación que fundamenta este artículo se basa en entrevistas cualitativas a actores sociales implicados, directa o indirectamente, en esta problemática (políticos, ganaderos, sindicalistas, trabajadores, ecologistas, líderes vecinales, etc.), así como en observaciones sobre el terreno y uso de fuentes secundarias (estadísticas oficiales, páginas web corporativas, documentos oficiales, etc.).</text>

                <text>O trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito da aplicação do Stimulate e Forth Seed associados a cinco doses de fósforo(P) no desenvolvimento do sistema radicular e parte aérea de plantas de feijão. O experimento foi desenvolvido em condições de casa de vegetação nas dependências do Departamento de Recursos Naturais – Ciência do Solo, da Faculdade de Ciências Agronômicas (FCA), UNESP, Campus de Botucatu, SP. O solo usado foi um Latossolo Vermelho Escuro de textura média. As unidades experimentais foram vasos contendo 8 dm3 de solo mantendo-se a umidade correspondente a 60% do Volume Total de Poros (VTP) ocupados por água. Utilizou-se a cultivar de feijão IAC-Carioca, em um delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, sendo os tratamentos constituídos de dois produtos (Stimulate e Forth Seed) nas respectivas doses 5 e 3 mL Kg-1 de sementes e uma testemunha sem biofertilizante, e 5 doses de P (0, 16, 32, 64 e 128 mg dm-3), com três repetições. Foi avaliada, também, a qualidade fisiológica das sementes usadas no experimento por meio de: a) primeira contagem do teste padrão de germinação; b) emergência; c) vigor, mediante a contagem de emergência; d) velocidade de emergência e determinação do crescimento das plântulas. O uso de Stimulate e Forth Seed agregados a doses de P causou redução no peso seco final das plantas.</text>

                <text>O crescimento da população mundial provoca aumento na demanda de energia e água limpa. O Brasil é um País predominantemente tropical; e, portanto, com potencial de energia solar o ano todo. A radiação solar é uma fonte de energia promissora, tendo em vista sua natureza não- poluente, permanente disponibilidade e custo zero. Uma alternativa de uso da radiação solar é na desinfecção das águas residuárias domésticas (ARD), para reduzir a contaminação ambiental e incrementar a disponibilidade de água para a agricultura. Foram determinados os valores de radiação solar para 202 estações meteorológicas espalhadas por todo o Brasil. Com esses dados e a equação proposta por Sánchez-Román et al. (2007), foi determinado o tempo de exposição necessário para desinfetar a ARD, objetivando o seu uso posterior, conforme as recomendações da Organização Mundial da Saúde, na agricultura familiar. Foram desenvolvidos 48 mapas de distribuição dos tempos de exposição para quatro profundidades de ARD a serem tratadas no reator solar. Estes mapas apresentam o tempo de exposição requerido, em qualquer lugar doBrasil, para desinfectar a ARD reduzindo a população de coliformes de 3,5 x 106 NMP 100 mL-1 até 1.000 NMP 100 mL-1. Através deles, pôde-se perceber que a tecnologia de desinfecção solar é aplicável em quase todo o território brasileiro, e durante quase todo o ano e em áreas específi- cas por no mínimo por oito meses.</text>

                <text>A videira “Isabel” é uma das culturas mais importantes tanto para o setor agrícola quanto para subsistência de pequenas famílias. O biofertilizante bovino surge como uma alternativa para substituir o uso excessivo de adubos químicos nas pequenas propriedades, em que pode ser utilizado em cultivos agrícolas proporcionando aspectos de qualidade e quantidade, agindo positivamente no sistema solo-água-planta. Nesta perspectiva, objetivou-se avaliar a produção de frutos de videira Isabel, adubadas com tipos e doses de biofertilizante bovino, durante o segundo ciclo produtivo. O experimento consistiu em delineamento em blocos casualisados, com fatorial 5 x 8, referente a cinco tipos de biofertilizante: (B1 = à base de esterco bovino, B2 = B1 + farinha de rocha MB4, B3 = B2 + leguminosa (Vigna unguiculata L. Walp.), B4 = B2 + cinza de madeira e B5 = B3 + cinza de madeira) e de 8 doses de biofertilizante (D1 = 0; D2 = 0,35; D3 = 0,7; D4 = 1,05; D5 = 1,4; D6 = 1,75; D7= 2,1; e D8 = 2,45 L/planta/vez), aplicadas a cada 2 meses. Os tipos de biofertilizante B1, B2, B4 e B5 exerceram valores significativos na produção, exceto para com a qualidade. O uso de biofertilizante aplicado 1,2 L/planta/vez proporciona maior eficiência produtiva de frutos de videira Isabel nos tipos B1, B2, B4 e B5, exceto para com ºBrix e acidez. A aplicação de diferentes tipos de biofertilizante bovino associado a dosagens ótimas acarreta em plantas com elevado potencial produtivo da videira Isabel.</text>

                <text>O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a qualidade microbiológica e a composição centesimal de minimilho orgânico em conserva, como opção tecnológica para a agricultura familiar. As matérias-primas adaptadas ao Sistema orgânico de produção foram fornecidas por agricultores familiares de Seropédica-RJ, no período de maio à junho de 2012. A elaboração das conservas e as análises microbiológicas e físico-químicas foram realizadas no DTA da UFRRJ. Os resultados do teste de esterilidade comercial das conservas produzidas estavam de acordo com os padrões microbiológicos estabelecidos pela legislação. Observa-se que as conservas apresentaram maiores teores de umidade, cinzas e carboidratos, entretanto, baixo percentuais de proteínas, lipídios e fibras. Verifica-se que o valor energético, o teor de carboidrato e proteínas da conserva de minimilho foram maiores que o apresentado para a conserva de minicenoura. Entretanto, os valores de gorduras totais, fibra alimentar e sódio foram relativamente superiores para a conserva de minicenoura. Conclui-se que a conserva de minicenoura e de minimilho apresentaram características microbiológicas adequadas e maiores teores de umidade, cinzas e carboidrato, entretanto, baixo percentual de proteína, lipídios e fibras. Podendo ser utilizada como opção tecnológica para a agricultura familiar. Entretanto, os teores de sódio precisam ser revistos, uma vez que o valor diário apesar de está dentro do permitido pela legislação, pode contribuir para o aumento da hipertensão arterial sistêmica.</text>
