La utilización excesiva de fertilizantes nitrogenados en cultivos de batata contribuye con la contaminación de los ecosistemas, para disminuir este efecto y mejorar la productividad del cultivo, la incorporación, de rizobacterias promotoras de crecimiento vegetal (PGPRs, por sus siglas en inglés) en las estrategias de manejo del cultivo, constituyen una herramienta sostenible. Objetivo. El objetivo de esta investigación fue incorporar las cepas bacterianas Azotobacter chroococcum IBCR19 y Azospirillum lipoferum IBSC7 en la fertilización nitrogenada y evaluar su efecto en el rendimiento y composición bromatológica de las raíces tuberosas de batata (Ipomoea batatasLam). Materiales y métodos. El estudio se realizó en el municipio de Corozal (Sucre, Colombia), durante los meses de junio a octubre del 2017. Se utilizó un área experimental de 840 m2, donde se establecieron veinticuatro parcelas con esquejes apicales de la accesión 15020078, distribuidas bajo un diseño completamente aleatorizado con arreglo factorial aumentado (3x2+2). Se evaluó materia seca radicular, rendimiento y composición bromatológica de las raíces de batata.Resultados. El rendimiento fresco y de materia seca radicular presentó diferencias significativas (p≤0,05) entre lostratamientos, en donde la aplicación de A. chroococcum IBCR19 y un 75 % de fertilización nitrogenada alcanzó los mayores valores medios de rendimiento y materia seca radicular 12,18 t.ha-1 y 2,92 t.ha-1, respectivamente. De igualforma, las concentraciones de proteína y extracto etéreo difirieron significativamente (p≤0,05) entre los tratamientosinoculados con relación al testigo absoluto. Conclusión. Con base en los resultados obtenidos se puede inferir que la inoculación con A. chroococcum IBCR19 logró reducir en un 25 % los niveles de fertilización nitrogenada y constituye una cepa promisoria como bioestimulante. El sistema silvopastoril-guayaba fue el más rico en especies (31) seguido por café (30) y por el bosque y la sucesión temprana (29). El flujo de especies fue alto en bosque, café y sucesión temprana, indicando que la calidad de la matriz es factor importante para el mantenimiento de la biodiversidad. In this study, the ethanol obtained from a mixture of coffee pulp and mucilage, commercial baker's yeast and panela (dehydrated and solidified cane juice) was evaluated. The pulp and mucilage of coffee underwent an acid hydrolysis, and the wort (pulp juice and mucilage) was fermented with an inoculum of exponential phase Saccharomyces cerevisiae and commercial whole panela. The fermented product was distilled, and the gas chromatographic analysis showed an ethanol yield of 25.44 kg/m³, resulting from the 64.40 kg/m³ of total sugars, such yield is equivalent to 77.29% of the theoretical yield. This fact shows that the production of ethanol is viable in small coffee farms using readily available raw materials. The stillage was analyzed and it presented the following values: 0.40 ppm (Iron), 0.97 ppm (Magnesium), 1.54 ppm (Calcium), and 4.40 ppm (Phosphorus). The results confirm that they are particularly useful as a complement in the production of bio-fertilizers for earthworms.En la actualidad se desarrollan numerosas investigaciones para la producción de alcohol a partir de biomasa lignocelulósica. En este estudio, se evaluó el etanol producido a partir de pulpa y mucílago de café, levadura comercial y panela (jugo de caña solidificado y deshidratado). La pulpa y el mucílago del café se hidrolizaron vía acida y el mosto (jugo de pulpa y mucilago) se fermentó con un inóculo de Saccharomyces cerevisiae en fase exponencial, elaborado con panela entera comercial. El producto fermentado se destiló y su análisis mediante cromatografía de gases arrojó un resultado de 25,44 kg/m³ de etanol a partir de 64,40 kg/m³ de azúcares totales, lo que equivale a un rendimiento del 77,29% respecto al teórico; mostrando que es posible su obtención en pequeñas fincas cafeteras con materias primas de fácil acceso. Se analizaron las vinazas resultantes del proceso, reportando valores de 0,40 ppm (Hierro), 0,97 ppm (Magnesio), 1,54 ppm (Calcio), y 4,40 ppm (Fósforo), lo que las hace particularmente útiles como complemento en el desarrollo de biofertilizantes para la lombricultura. Valemo-nos de entrevista, com questões abertas para que os colaboradores da pesquisa se sentissem livres para se manifestar com suas próprias palavras. Foram entrevistadas sete pessoas, dentre essas a coordenadora da CFR e responsável técnico da instituição, duas professoras, quatro pais de alunos ou ex-alunos e um representante da Emater local. Traçamos um breve histórico da região, analisamos aspectos da implantação das CFRs no Estado. Foram abordados também conceitos teóricos sobre Pedagogia da Alternância, as praticas pedagógicas utilizadas pela escola e seus reflexos no contexto de formação para o desenvolvimento local. This work aims at presenting cases of applying geospatial technologies to promote and develop agritourism in the context of small farming in two different scales: in the municipality of Cachoeiras de Macacu, RJ, and one farm in Socorro, SP. The geospatial technologies were applied for agritourism data survey and integration considering the demand for its planning. The main results are assessments and maps indicating the potential of the study areas to develop agritourism in small farms. These results supported the development of an agritourism plan for Cachoeiras de Macacu and an agritourism zoning for the farm. Borja-Vega Description An account of the resource Bolivia es uno de los países con mayor disponibilidad de agua en el mundo; sin embargo, posee un déficit anual de agua que afecta al 13% de la población urbana y al 38% de la población rural; además, es el país con menores capacidades de almacenamiento en embalses de agua de la región. Por lo que la presente investigación analiza los efectos del cambio climático en el sector agua y sus impactos en la vulnerabilidad de las áreas urbanas del país. Para el efecto, se utilizó el índice de vulnerabilidad al cambio climático (IVCC), que aplica el método de descomposición de Shapley que identifica los pesos ponderados de los componentes del IVCC. Entre los hallazgos se destaca que el principal cambio por el que atravesará Bolivia será el aumento a la exposición de las sequias, por lo que es de vital importancia diversificar las fuentes de agua; además, dado el aumento poblacional en las ciudades capitales se debe mejorar la distribución de agua potable y el sistema de alcantarillado. En relación a las ciudades pequeñas se deben generar mecanismos de riego y saneamiento para solventar los cambios climáticos futuros. Finalmente, se debe generar una cultura de manejo del agua -re uso de aguas residuales, uso moderado del agua potable, entre otros-. Es de vital importancia priorizar estas políticas públicas dado que el acceso al agua potable y saneamiento es un derecho humano el cual se debe garantizar para el desarrollo social y económico de Bolivia. Consideramos al tracto gastrointestinal como una pieza clave en el desarrollo del Fallo o Disfunción Multiorgánica (DMO) como consecuencia de una pérdida de su función de barrera (alteración de la permeabilidad) secundaria a hipoxia frente a toxinas, bioproductos y ocasionalmente bacterias intraluminales, siendo uno de los principales mecanismos fisiopatogénicos el insuficiente flujo de sangre a los órganos esplácnicos. La disfunción hepática y/o alteración en los test de función hepática es un evento común entre los pacientes críticos. The intestinal tract is considered a key element in the development of Multiorgan Dysfunction (MOD) or failure by loosing its barrier function (impaired permeability) against toxins, bio-products and occsaionally intraluminal bacteria secondary to hypoxia, one of the main pathopysiogenic mechanisms being the insufficient blood flow to splacnic organs. Por lo anteriormente descrito, se presenta la necesidad de realizar una investigación cuantitativa con la finalidad de evaluar un bioestimulante de Urtica dioica L. para estimular la producción de esta hortaliza de hoja.  Los bioestimulantes son sustancias de origen vegetal que tienen la finalidad de activar diferentes procesos fisiológicos, como el incremento de la fotosíntesis y la producción de diferentes hormonas que actúan sobre la elongación de las células de la planta (Montano et ál. 2008). Para la presente investigación se extrajo por destilación de barrido de alcohol el bioestimulante de ortiga. Lo anterior con la finalidad de obtener los principios activos de esta urticaceae. De manera simultánea, se implementó en campo un sistema productivo de lechuga con 2 tratamientos: To = Testigo absoluto y T1 = Bioestimulante, junto con 3 repeticiones en un diseño de bloques.  Las variables evaluadas fueron: peso fresco a la cosecha, peso seco y porcentaje de materia seca. Con los datos arrojados se calculó: media, moda, mediana y desviación estándar, además se realizó un análisis por cuartiles y rango intercuartílico con la finalidad de observar la normalidad de los datos. Como resultado, se obtuvo una media superior de un 14 % en peso seco y fresco con el bioestimulante, pero no se presenta diferencia estadísticamente significativa frente al porcentaje de materia seca.
