A Mamona e o pinhão-manso vêm se consolidando como uma alternativa de complementação de renda familiar. Entretanto necessita-se de que a utilização dos recursos no maneja da cultura seja sustentável, para que a mesma possa ser cultivada por pequenos produtores, assim há a preocupação em utilizar produtos como adubos orgânicos e corretivos de acidez do solo alternativos, que atendam a necessidade nutricional da planta e seja eficiente na correção da acidez do solo. Baseado no exposto o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os teores foliares de mamona (Ricinus communis L) e pinhão-manso (Jatropha curcas L.) sob diferentes fontes de adubação (mineral, esterco bovino, cama aviaria e palha de café) na presença e ausência de escória de siderurgia como corretivo de acidez do solo. De forma geral, na maioria dos tratamentos a adubação orgânica e a aplicação de escória de siderurgia se mostraram alternativos e eficientes quanto aos teores foliares de na mamona e pinhão-manso.

This work was carried out with the objective to study the foam-mat drying of Cereus jamacaru pulp fruit with albumen (2%) and “Super Liga Neutra” (2%) with whipping time of 5 min, dried in oven with air circulation at 70; 80, and 90 °C with three different foam thicknesses (0.5; 1.0 and 1.5 cm). The drying curves were fitted with the Page, Henderson and Pabis and Cavalcanti Mata models. Drying time was influ- enced by the foam thickness and process temperature being the process faster for smaller thickness and higher temperature. He Cavalcanti Mata model presented the best fit of the experimental foam drying kinetics data.

Com o objetivo de avaliar o desempenho agronômico e a produtividade de cultivares de cebola em cultivo orgânico nas condições da Baixada Fluminense-RJ, foi conduzido um experimento no período de junho a outubro de 2010, no município de Seropédica-RJ. Foram avaliados os caracteres em 10 cultivares de cebola. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos ao acaso com quatro repetições. Avaliou-se as produtividades total, comercial e não comercial, bem como a classificação das cebolas. A produtividade total de bulbos variou de 14,42 a 24,09 t ha-1, enquanto a produtividade comercial oscilou entre 14,28 a 24,09 t ha-1. As cultivares mais produtivas e que podem ser recomendadas, foram a Alfa Tropical, Alfa São Francisco, Baia Periforme, Madrugada, Primavera, Jubileu, Pêra Norte e Lola; enquanto as cultivares menos produtivas foram a Vale Ouro IPA 11 e Franciscana IPA 10. A produção de bulbos considerados 'refugo' foi muita baixa, sendo que as cultivares Alfa Tropical, Alfa São Francisco e Lola não produziram essa classe de bulbos. O peso médio de bulbos variou de 54,1-90,3 g, sendo as cultivares Franciscana IPA 10 e Vale Ouro IPA 11, as que apresentaram os menores valores para esse caráter. Os resultados mostraram que o cultivo orgânico da cebola nas condições da Baixada Fluminense é viável, podendo ser obtidas produtividades semelhantes às obtidas no cultivo convencional.

Com esta pesquisa objetivou-se estudar os efeitos de 5 doses de 4 diferentes tipos de biofertilizante na produção da bananeira Nanicão, em 3 ciclos sucessivos. O experimento foi conduzido em condições de campo, na Escola Agrotécnica do Cajueiro, no município de Catolé do Rocha, estado da Paraíba, Brasil. O solo da área é classificado como Neossolo Flúvico, com textura franco arenosa. O experimento foi conduzido entre os meses de junho de 2008 a junho de 2011. O delineamento experimental adotado foi o de blocos casualizados com 20 tratamentos no esquema fatorial 5x4 (doses x tipos) de biofertilizantes, com quatro repetições. Os resultados mostram que os tipos de biofertilizante não afetaram as variáveis de qualidade da produção; o comprimento e o diâmetro do fruto aumentaram com o incremento da dose de biofertilizante até limites ótimos; o comprimento do fruto das plantas do segundo ciclo foi superior ao das plantas dos primeiro e terceiro ciclos; o diâmetro do fruto das plantas do segundo ciclo foi superior ao das plantas dos primeiro e terceiro ciclos e os valores de ºBrix e de pH da polpa do fruto não foram afetados pelas doses de biofertilizante aplicadas.

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las relaciones de cooperación y conflicto entre la Compañía Minera (MSX) y las comunidades de San Pedro, Soledad y San Luis Potosí, los Nuevos Movimientos Sociales y los tres niveles de gobierno involucrados. La compañía Minera inició operaciones en una mina a cielo abierto de oro y plata con el apoyo de oficiales de los gobiernos locales, estatales y federal. Los habitantes de estas comunidades apoyados por grupos ambientalistas y Organizaciones No Gubernamentales argumentan que el proyecto contamina las fuentes de agua fresca, además de perturbar el medio ambiente y la ecología de la región. En tal sentido el artículo analiza el impacto, la interacción social y de conflicto entre los distintos actores desde una perspectiva local y socio-ambiental, previa contextualización histórica de subregión y el desarrollo de la industria minera.

Este estudio tiene como objetivo revisar, analizar y sistematizar el conocimiento creado sobre la bioeconomía para desarrollar un marco conceptual y teórico basado en el estudio transdisciplinario de la biología y la socioeconomía para ser utilizado en futuras investigaciones. Comienza desde el cuestionamiento de cuáles son los beneficios que la bioeconomía tiene en comparación con la economía neoclásica. Los métodos empleados son analíticos críticos, descriptivos, deductivos-inductivos y sugieren enfoques holísticos y transdisciplinarios. Como resultado, el núcleo del estudio presenta los principios bajo los cuales este nuevo paradigma científico en el desarrollo sostenible puede continuar creando más conocimiento científico para ser utilizado en la formulación e implementación de elecciones estratégicas para el proceso de bioproducción, biodistribución y bioconsumo.

Comienza con una revisión de los antecedentes, esencialmente después de la entrada del TLCAN en México. Posteriormente el tema es abordado desde las grandes teorías que engloban a las instituciones para poder explicar factores que han hecho el mercado del maíz continúe operando en México. Explicando la manera actual de operar del mercado estudiando ante los costos de transacción, y por lo tanto las fallas del mercado. El presente trabajo se refiere al estudio del nivel de competitividad de las Agroindustrias del Limón pertenecientes al clúster del limón mexicano en Colima, México en base al modelo del IMD (International Institute for Management Development) como teoría de soporte. En este estudio se diseño y utilizó un instrumento de medición de acuerdo al modelo anteriormente mencionado adaptando las variables para el contexto de nuestro estudio. Es necesario mencionar que el modelo del IMD se utilizó para medir la competitividad de los países y para esta investigación se está generando un instrumento nuevo considerando el entorno de la investigación que son las empresas agroindustriales del limón mexicano en Colima. Esta investigación se orientó a Mipymes de tipo agroindustrial del limón. Posteriormente a través de análisis estadístico se determinó el nivel de competitividad de las mismas y qué variables o criterios son los que influyen significativamente en la competitividad.

El presente trabajo se refiere al estudio de los factores de competitividad de las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas agroindustriales del limón mexicano en Colima, México, tomando como referencia el modelo del International Institute for Management Development. Se diseñó un nuevo instrumento de recolección de la información consistente en un análisis estadístico, a través del cual se determinaron los factores y el nivel de competitividad de las empresas ya mencionadas. /Abstract: This paper refers to the study of the factors of competitiveness of the mexican lemon agroindustrial micro, small and medium enterprises in Colima, México, with reference to the model of the International Institute for Management Development. A new instrument was designed to collect useful information to understand the competitiveness of the companies previously mentioned. These levels and factors of competitiveness were determined by means of a statistical analysis.
