                <text>El incremento de riesgos hidrometereológicos causados por el cambio climático ha llevado consigo la necesidad de for-talecer las capacidades adaptativas de afrontamiento. Bajo este contexto, el objetivo del presente estudio fue esclarecer la relación entre la experiencia directa y las capacidades activas de afrontamiento, considerando tres posibles mediadores: la severidad subjetiva, la percepción del riesgo y la implicancia personal. Para esto, se obtuvo una muestra por conveniencia (n =  490) de una ciudad chilena afectada por aluviones. Como resultado, si bien todas las variables correlacionaron directa-mente con las capacidades activas (entre r =  .13 y r =  .49), la relación principal solo estuvo mediada por el temor al riesgo y la identificación y posibilidad de acción; por tanto, se concluye que la experiencia directa previa, el miedo y la autoeficacia percibida impulsarían comportamientos precautorios activos frente al riesgo aluvional.</text>

                <text>Durante décadas a cultura do tabaco proporcionou a geração de emprego e renda, sobretudo a formação de riqueza para poucas famílias detentoras dos meios de beneficiamento e produção, na região do agreste alagoano. A agricultura familiar utilizava de suas terras para o plantio de uma única cultura agrícola, sem a possibilidade de arbitrar sobre os valores de compra e venda, uma vez que sua colheita era, geralmente, com destino a um único comprador. Com a questão de saúde pública sobre a redução do consumo de tabaco, as quedas nas vendas internas e externas, fizeram com que o governo brasileiro desenvolvesse políticas públicas voltadas para o desenvolvimento social e econômico com ênfase na diversificação da agricultura familiar, surgindo assim os arranjos produtivos locais e uma nova estrutura social.</text>

                <text>Resumo A utilização de águas residuárias tratadas na agricultura fornece, ao solo e aos vegetais, água, nutrientes e matéria orgânica, que conservam o solo e agem como fertilizantes orgânicos, podendo ocasionar, entretanto, contaminações no produto final. Na presente pesquisa estudouse, em dois experimentos, a irrigação de alface (Lactuca sativa L.) com água de poço, em solo sem adubação (T1) e com adubação mineral (T2), em comparação com a produtividade e a qualidade sanitária das alfaces irrigadas com água de poço e solo com adubação orgânica (T3), com fertirrigação realizada com efluentes de esgotos domésticos tratados em lagoas de polimento (T4) e efluente decantado (T5). Os resultados mostraram maiores produtividades nos tratamentos com águas de reúso, sendo maior nas alfaces irrigadas com o tratamento T5. O T4 apresentou concentrações médias de coliformes termotolerantes dentro das recomendações da OMS para irrigação irrestrita: (1.000 UFC 100 mL)-1, &lt; 1 ovo de helminto L-1), embora tenha apresentado os maiores valores de pH de todos os efluentes (8,7 e 9,0). O T5 foi o único tratamento com efluente que não alcançou as condições microbiológicas nem parasitológicas para irrigação irrestrita.</text>

Se cuantificó para la cuenca del lago de Chapala, porción Michoacán, México, la pérdida de suelo por erosión hídrica, utilizando como método de medición las parcelas de escurrimiento. Un total de 18 de ellas se instalaron por los principales usos de suelo presentes en la región: pastizal, agricultura de riego y de temporal, bosque de encino y matorral subtropical. Se realizó un muestreo mensual durante el periodo de lluvias que abarcó los meses de agostooctubre de 2012. La mayor pérdida de suelo se presentó donde se desarrolla la agricultura de temporal con 630.7 kg ha-1, seguido de los pastizales con 87.9 kg ha-1 y en menor cantidad el bosque de encino con 3.9 kg ha-1. Considerando todos los usos de suelo, en total la pérdida de suelo en la zona de estudio fue de 6 593 t ha-1 año-1, siendo mayor en las áreas de cultivo de temporal con 4 019 t ha-1 año-1. La materia orgánica fue uno de los componentes del suelo que más se perdieron durante el proceso de erosión hídrica, obteniendo valores de 24.5 y 5.1 kg ha-1 para cultivos de temporal y pastizales, respectivamente. Los macronutrientes medidos en el sedimento igualmente presentaron una correlación con el factor anterior; los máximos valores para N, P y K se registraron en la agricultura de riego con 0.9, 0.1 y 2.1 kg ha-1, respectivamente.</text>

                <text>A agricultura familiar é a base da economia rural no estado da Paraíba, o associativismo e a assistência técnica e extensão rural tem contribuído de maneira significativa para a melhoria de vida dos produtores de base familiar na região do cariri paraibano. Objetivou-se pesquisar ações de associativismo e ATER causadoras de mudanças e benefícios no cotidiano de comunidades rurais no município de Taperoá – PB. O município de Taperoá localiza-se na região central do estado da Paraíba, na microrregião do cariri ocidental, a pesquisa foi realizada durante o ano de 2013, onde esta região foi assolada por uma das maiores secas da história que já durava dois anos. Dentre as ações realizadas destacam-se: a revitalização da cultura da palma forrageira, apoio a caprinovinocultura local, armazenamento de forragem e otimização dos recursos naturais da região como prática de convivência com a semiaridez. A ATER exerce um papel de suma importância, dando suporte as atividades rurais do cotidiano no município de Taperoá-PB. O associativismo é fundamental para os produtores rurais, tendo em vista a sua capacidade de agregar parceiros e mobilizar pessoas em prol de um bem comum. As atividades desenvolvidas por estes órgãos são de fundamental importância para uma melhor qualidade de vida dos produtores rurais, contribuindo para se ter um desenvolvimento rural sustentável na região do cariri paraibano.</text>
