AIM: This study attempted a narrative review of the researches about COVID-19 in children. METHODS: We searched all articles between 2000 and April 2020 in PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect related to COVID-19 in children, using the following terms: “COVID-19,” “coronavirus,” “SARS-CoV-2” in combination with “pediatrics,” or “children.” RESULTS: The most common method of transmitting the disease to children was through close contact with family members through respiratory droplets. Coinfection is common in pediatric with COVID-19 infection. One of the most important transmission routes is oral feces. The severity of the disease was mild or asymptomatic in most children. The most common clinical symptoms were fever and cough, and gastrointestinal symptoms were more common in children than in adults. Infants and preschoolers had more severe clinical symptoms than older children. The most common radiographic findings from the lungs were bilateral ground-glass opacity. Increased procalcitonin and lactate dehydrogenase should be considered in children. The use of intravenous immunoglobulin, lopinavir/ritonavir, and oseltamivir, along with oxygen therapy, had the greatest effect on improving children’s conditions. CONCLUSIONS: The most important way to prevent this disease in children is to follow the health tips of family members. Although the number of children with the disease is low, children are vulnerable to infection. Antiviral medications along with the use of muscle relaxants and oxygen therapy have a great impact on children’s condition. While this population can be difficult to engage in programs to prevent poor mental health, approaches tailored to reflect the context of primary producers’ life and work have been successful. This paper reports on the co-design phase of a project designed to prevent poor mental health for primary producers—specifically, the advantages, challenges and considerations of translating face-to-face co-design methods to an online environment in response to COVID-19 restrictions. The co-design phase drew upon the existing seven-step co-design framework developed by Trischler and colleagues. Online methods were adopted for all steps of the process. This paper models how this co-design approach can work in an online, primary producer context and details key considerations for future initiatives of this type. The development of online co-design methods is an important additional research method for use not only during a pandemic but also when operating with limited resources or geographic constraints. Results demonstrate the following: (i) co-designing online is possible given adequate preparation, training and resource allocation; (ii) “hard to reach” populations can be engaged using online methods providing there is adequate early-stage relationship building; (iii) co-design quality need not be compromised and may be improved when translating to online; and (iv) saved costs and resources associated with online methods can be realigned towards intervention/service creation, promotion and user engagement. Suggestions for extending Trischler and colleagues’ model are incorporated. Desse modo, o objetivo com este estudo foi formular dois biofertilizantes otimizados, avaliar suas características sanitárias (microbiológicas e parasitológicas) e eficiência agronômica no cultivo orgânico da alface crespa. O experimento foi conduzido em condições de campo em Lagoa Seca, Paraíba. O arranjo experimental foi em blocos casualizados, em esquema fatorial (2 x 6), com 3 repetições, sendo dois biofertilizantes otimizados (BIO I e BIO II) e seis concentrações (0, 20, 40, 60, 80 e 100 mL). A alface crespa foi adubada com os dois biofertilizantes, formulados com materiais orgânicos, e submetidos à fermentação aeróbica por 96 dias. O BIO II não teve contaminação com micro-organismos patogênicos ao homem, enquanto o BIO I apresentou contaminação com coliformes totais e fecais, Ascaris lumbricoides, Ancilostomideo spp., Entamoeba histolystica e Entamoeba coli. A aplicação do BIO I e BIO II promoveu aumento no rendimento da produção total, produção comercial, número de folhas, massa seca do caule e raiz. No entanto, a massa seca das folhas não diferiu do tratamento controle, independente do biofertilizante. Maiores estudos devem ser realizados para investigar o efeito residual dos biofertilizantes e, outros métodos de aplicação como pulverização foliar para o BIO II. This study aimed to perform a diagnosis of trees and palm trees on the Federal University of Acre (UFAC) campus, as well as its relationship with the environment to which they belong.
