Se caracterizó las fincas dedicadas a producción especializada de ganado de doble propósito con manejo de registros, sistemas de producción, nivel de formación, venta formal de ganado. Se aplicó una metodología de tipo empírica donde se utilizó el método descriptivo en campo y método lógico deductivo en gabinete, en el cual se encuentra la ubicación donde se realizó la investigación con sus debidas coordenadas y sus limitaciones. El cuestionario estuvo conformado por doce preguntas como la edad de agricultores, nivel de educación, ubicación del hato ganadero, manejo, número de animales, problemas de comercialización y financiamientos, entre otros. En los resultado encontrados 86% de los ganaderos tienen ingresos por debajo del salario básico unificado, la actividad ganadera que practica el 95% tiene un sistema de producción extensivo, se concluye que la situación ganadera de los productores ganaderos posen pequeñas fincas dedicadas a la explotación extensiva, donde el 57,1% posee un número de animales comprendidos ente (10 y 30) cabezas de ganado vacuno especializado para la producción de doble propósito que están en la categoría de pequeños productores. Palabras clave: Ganadería, rural, producción, seguridad, alimentaria, desarrollo.   The objective of this research was to carry out a situational analysis of livestock activity in five sites in the parish of Palmales in the canton of Arenillas (Ecuador), with the purpose of contributing to generate strategies to improve productivity on the livestock farms of each producer and in the same way that they can benefit from all programs or advice from government entities that are an important factor for financial development and growth. Farms dedicated to specialized dual-purpose livestock production with record management, production systems, level of training, and formal livestock sales were characterized. An empirical methodology was followed, using the descriptive method in the field and the logical deductive method in the office, where the location of the research was located with its due coordinates and limitations. The questionnaire consisted of twelve questions such as the age of farmers, level of education, location of the herd, management, number of animals, marketing and financing problems, among others. In the results found 86% of the cattle ranchers have incomes below the unified basic salary, the cattle activity that 95% practice has an extensive production system, it is concluded that the cattle situation of the cattle producers have small farms dedicated to the extensive exploitation, where 57.1% have a number of animals included between (10 and 30) heads of specialized cattle for the double purpose production that are in the category of small producers. Se elaboró un instrumento en escala Likert con 48 ítems que midió doce competencias obtenidas de los trabajos de connotados investigadores y de la literatura oficial mexicana que sirvió como referente. El cuestionario empleado para esta investigación fue piloteado y validado por jueces, en su confiabilidad reportó 0.94 de alfa de Crombach. Cada vez se torna necesario crear perfiles para puestos laborales, como es el caso de la docencia, a fin de crear parámetros observables de actuación profesional. En los perfiles se detallan las dimensiones de actuación y los descriptores que dictaminan el modus operandi del quehacer áulico. En el modelo por competencias estos perfiles señalan las actitudes, habilidades y conocimientos que son deseables en un docente. Estos perfiles dan la pauta para hacer una adecuada evaluación de la docencia. Los resultados se analizaron a través del software estadístico SPSS v.21, mediante frecuencias y porcentajes y comparación de medias. En la interpretación se discriminó en favor de los polos positivos que implicaban la elección racional del alumno de la competencia docente. Se encontró que todas las competencias fueron importantes, mas no todos los descriptores resultaron del agrado de los alumnos. Al final se presenta un listado con las competencias mejor evaluadas: preparación académica, comunicación asertiva, liderazgo, evaluación y ecología educativa. La micorrización es una de las técnicas biológicas empleadas en muchos de ellos; sin embargo, en los pastos aún no se ha logrado extenderla ampliamente en la producción y los estudios han estado dirigidos a algunas leguminosas y muy pocas gramíneas. Las micorrizas permiten una aplicación exitosa mediante el recubrimiento de las semillas. Por otra parte, las relaciones micorrízicas pueden ser la clave para disminuir la cantidad de fertilizantes (especialmente fosfatos) que debe aplicarse para obtener buenos rendimientos; en los suelos con altos contenidos de P la inoculación con micorriza incrementa el crecimiento y el establecimiento temprano de los cultivos. Mycorrhization is one of the biological techniques used in many of them; however, in pastures it has not been widely extended in production and the studies have aimed at legumes and very few grasses. Mycorrhizae allow successful application by means of seed covering. On the other hand, mycorrhizal relationships can be the key to decrease the amount of fertilizers (especially phosphates) that should be applied to obtain good yields; in soils with high P contents the inoculation with mycorrhiza increases growth and the early establishment of crops. Plants develop a higher biological quality, regarding more height, vigor and leaf area, and yields are increased (between 15 and 50%). It protects roots against certain pathogenic fungi. In addition, the biofertillizer allows to save up to 50% of the volume of the necessary chemical products, which favors input and cost reduction and influences the exertion of a sustainable and ecologically healthier agriculture.
