Methods: The measurement results obtained by the Regional Environmental Protection Inspectorate (REPI) in Kraków and our deposited particulate-matter (PM) analysis, as well as United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) methodology of risk assessment were used in the study. Results: Annual pollutant contents kept decreasing, with the exception of O3. However, the permissible annual levels were exceeded in the cases of PM10, PM2.5, and NO2. Increased contents of SO2, CO, C6H6, PM10, and PM2.5, as well as of As, Pb, Cd, Ni, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in PM particles during winter months indicated that house heating was the source of pollution. Due to no significant change in the monthly NO2 contents, this measurement was used as an indicator of traffic sources of pollution. In winter months, the allowable 24 h PM2.5 and PM10 contents were constantly exceeded. PM was identified as the most significant air pollutant. Enrichment factors revealed that deposited PM was enriched with heavy metals. The potential ecological risk (ERI) was determined to be very high for Cd, considerable for Zn, and low for As, Co, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Tl. The total non-carcinogenic risk indices (HQ) for both adults (HQ = 15.0) and children (HQ = 26.4) exceeded the acceptable value of 1. The total carcinogenic risk indices (CR) for both adults (CR = 1.51 × 10−4) and children (CR = 1.77 × 10−4) exceeded the acceptable level of 1 × 10−4. Conclusions: In the years 2005–2020, a general decreasing tendency of annual pollutant contents was observed. However, the permissible contaminant contents were still exceeded. PM2.5, BaP, PM10, and NO2 were determined as the most dangerous pollutants in inhalational pathway. Por lo anterior, en el presente trabajo se realizó el diagnóstico de la fertilidad de los suelos del sur de Tamaulipas y norte Veracruz. Para ello, se recolectaron muestras de suelo en el 2006 (n=55), 2007 (n=102), y 2008 (n=89). Las muestras fueron procesadas en el Laboratorio Multidisciplinario del Instituto Tecnológico de Altamira. Enseguida, se determinó e interpretó el valor del pH con el método AS-02 de la norma NOM-021-RECNAT-2000. Posteriormente, los valores del pH fueron comparados en el diagrama de Troug, con el fin de elaborar el diagnóstico de la fertilidad. En el 90.2 % de las muestras analizadas el pH fue de 7.33 a 8.46. Mientras que, en el 9.8 % de las muestras el pH fue de 6.65 a 7.33. Con base en lo anterior, el pH fue clasificado como neutro a ligeramente alcalino. Por otra parte, el 80.5 % de las muestras analizadas limitan la disponibilidad de fósforo (pH=7.5 a 8.46). Esto debido a la fijación de este macronutrimento en forma de fosfatos de calcio. En contraste, el 95.1 % de las muestras limitan la disponibilidad de Mn, B, Cu y Zn. Posiblemente, debido a la abundancia de carbonatos. Con estos resultados, es recomendable premezclar con abonos orgánicos al macronutrimento poco disponible en el suelo antes de ser aplicado al suelo. Así mismo, considerar la fertilización foliar para adicionar micronutrimentos a los cultivos de la región. This study aimed to identify factors associated with COVID-19 deaths in Portugal. Methods: A national dataset with the first 20,293 patients infected with COVID-19 between 1 January and 21 April 2020 was analyzed. The primary outcome measure was mortality by COVID-19, measured (registered and confirmed) by Medical Doctors serving as health delegates on the daily death registry. A logistic regression model using a generalized linear model was used for estimating Odds Ratio (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) for each potential risk indicator. Results: A total of 502 infected patients died of COVID-19. The risk factors for increased odds of death by COVID-19 were: sex (male: OR = 1.47, ref = female), age ((56–60) years, OR = 6.01; (61–65) years, OR = 10.5; (66–70) years, OR = 20.4; (71–75) years, OR = 34; (76–80) years, OR = 50.9; (81–85) years, OR = 70.7; (86–90) years, OR = 83.2; (91–95) years, OR = 91.8; (96–104) years, OR = 140.2, ref=(0–55)), Cardiac disease (OR = 2.86), Kidney disorder (OR = 2.95), and Neuromuscular disorder (OR = 1.58), while condition (None (absence of precondition); OR = 0.49) was associated with a reduced chance of dying after adjusting for other variables of interest. The experiments were carried out in Ituporanga, Santa Catarina State, Brazil. Plants of onion cv. Crioula were transplanted into two fields on 9th September/96 and 13th August/97 and harvested respectively on 10th January/97 and 11th December/97. A randomized blocks with four replicates were used in both experiments. In 1996 the treatments included the anaerobic liquid biofertilizer at 50%, aerobic liquid biofertilizer at 5%, manganese sulfate at 1%, hydroalcoholic extract of propolis at 0,2%, macerate of herbs at 2% and 4%, tobacco extract (Nicotiana tabacum) 2 L ha-1 + neutral detergent at 1%, and no spray. O experimento foi conduzido em Chapecó, SC, em Latossolo Vermelho, de setembro de 2005 a agosto de 2011. Foram aplicadas anualmente as doses de 0, 2, 4, 8 e 16 Mg ha-1 de composto de dejeto líquido de suínos com maravalha, além de um tratamento com adubação mineral (NPK). Após seis aplicações, coletaram-se amostras de solo nas camadas de 0-4, 4-8, 8-12, 12-16, 16-20, 20-40 e 40-60 cm e avaliaram-se os atributos químicos. As maiores doses do composto orgânico incrementaram o pH do solo e reduziram a acidez potencial. As aplicações de composto orgânico derivado de dejeto de suínos e maravalha promoveram alterações nos atributos químicos do Latossolo Vermelho avaliado, especialmente nas camadas superficiais do solo, com maior ênfase para aumento do pH do solo e dos teores de P, K, Cu e Zn. A utilização de 4 Mg ha-1 do composto mantém os atributos químicos do solo semelhantes aos do tratamento NPK, que seguiu recomendação oficial para os estados do Rio Grande do Sul e de Santa Catarina, além de manter os teores de P nas camadas superficiais dentro do limite crítico ambiental para solos com altos teores de argila. Trabalha a dimensão da práxis do diálogo, especialmente, no pensamento de Leonardo Boff, identificado a partir de 1992 em um novo paradigma - o paradigma ecológico. A dialogação (como práxis dialogal) é pensada num grande encontro teoantropocósmico, articulando Deus, Ser humano e Natureza. Três momentos compõem essa práxis dialógica: dialogação mística ou espiritual; dialogação fraterna; e a ética da vida. Não são três momentos separados. Articulam-se e estão interconectados. It focuses on the dimension of the praxis of dialogue, especially on Leonardo Boff´s thought, identified as of 1992 according to a new paradigm - the ecological one. Dialogue as praxis is taken into account within the scope of a wide Theo-anthropo-cosmic encounter, articulating God, the Human Being and Nature. Such dialogical praxis comprises three moments: mystical or spiritual dialogue; fraternal dialogue; and the ethics of life. Those are not three separate moments: they are articulated and interconnected. They start and end with mystics, and they express themselves in being-with-the-other in fraternity and in the criteria for ethical thought and action.Key words: Inter-religions dialogue; Praxis; Mystics; raternity; Ecology; Ethics.
